Review:The subject of history and its interpretation has become the topic of widespread debate due to its dual nature: Real people and events and their interpretation. The latter is the real controversy in history. Columbus is not admired (or hated) due to who he was or even what he did but over the consequences of his actions - discovery of a New World or destroyer of an old one. History has always been affected by politics and prejudice but ideology has become paramount lately. Perhaps the most i... Read more
Review:This is a well-written book about selection and training of US Army special forces. I really enjoyed experiencing selection, qualification and particularly Robin Sage through the writer's words. I highly recommend to anyone and also for prospective SF warriors! Read more

Review:Very famous and justifiably so. Very distressing to read and reminds me of the turmoil and tragedy of Vietnam and how mistakenly our leaders misjudged the entire Vietnam issues. So sorry for the US military who were injured, killed and scarred for life and for the country citizens of Vietnam.
Should be a must read for all in the service academy and anyone involved in our foreign policy or defense policy . Read more
Review:This book was difficult to read because there were so many basic grammatical errors and misspellings. There were numerous incorrect facts. It seemed like it was more about getting as much in as possible without really paying attention to the basics of writing. I would not recommend this book. Read more
Review:Fascinating look at Anglo children taken by native Americans in the 1850's to 1870's and the ending of tribal control of the plains. Shows the ignoble racial hatred evinced by Sherman and others that led to the natives demise. Read more
Review:Graham Hancock is a smart and engaging fellow; many of his lectures can be seen on Youtube, and he always manages to pique my interest. In this rather weighty tome, he broaches the theory that there was an ancient civilization which preceded what are now accepted as the earliest ones. He strongly believes that mainstream historians would rather hide their heads in the sand rather than consider the compelling evidence that earlier models of highly civilized man existed in distant prehistory (10... Review:A great Russian classic but in the traditional Russian genre. Very descriptive writing of people and places with the "normal" tragic Russian ending. Turgenev easily captures the soul of Russian writers of the 18th century. Read more
