Review:This is perhaps the most succinct and simple summary of the rise of the federal bureaucracy that I have ever read. And, it's constantly rising costs and debt. From 3% of income to over 50% in the last sixty year's-ouch!, but how do we ever balance this nation's checkbook? Read more
Review:The atrocities that were committed in both the Soviet Union and Germany before and during WWII are staggering. This book does a tremendous job of bringing to light the magnitude of that loss of life. I believe this book should be a must read. Read more
Review:D'Souza was sentenced to 8 months of overnight confinement in a half-way house because he gave more than the limit to an old friend running for Senate. As he met real criminals he began to see the similarities between their cons and those of the Democratic Party. I couldn't put this book down. It connects the dots! Read more

However, I am having to knock off four stars because there seem to be some kind of PRINT on it, which gets inkstains in places you would rather not have them. Read more

Review:This book is about marketing meets public relations meets political science. In other words Corporate Power. Something I hadn't adequately considered. It's published in 2000 so I'd really be interested in an update or 2nd edition that was more current. Even though dated, this book will enjoy a privileged position on my book shelves. Read more

Ergo, it's our responsibility--qua, humans--to "negate the negation" (i.e., supercede capitalism previous to its terminating ourselves).
This brief volume calls capitalism to account on multiple fronts; while capitalism is a death warrant , Prof. Chomsky--in seasoned, left-veteran fashion--whineth not. Th... Read more

Review:Demographer of religion Robert P. Jones has bad news for White Christian America (WCA). Few will be surprised at his news, that the heyday of WCA's influential role in United States society and politics is over. The End of White Christian America is Jones's retrospective and obituary. Jones quotes E.J. Dionne, who said "white Protestantism served as 'the civic and moral glue that held American public life together' for most of the United States' history."
I'll be up front about this: I... Read more
