Lessons in Creativity from IDEO - America's Leading Design Firm
Lessons in Creativity from IDEO - America's Leading Design Firm

Review:There is just one or two (not new) interesting concepts in this book and on top of it, the author could have captured them all in a few pages only. There was not really a good reason to write a this book except for letting us know how incredible IDEO is.

In comparison, "Ten faces of Innovation" is much more informative. Both books are easy to read and entertaining, but lack pragmatic advice. If you have to choose one of them, read "ten faces" only. Read more

Learn Hand Lettering and Brush Lettering - Lettering and Modern Calligraphy

Review:This book is a fun way to learn about calligraphy, but it definitely leans towards “modern” handwriting. Perfect for learning how to write girly cards, canvases, etc. Pages of the book are a little thin. Read more

The Screenwriter's Guide to Every Story Ever Told

Review:Adds little to the ideas in the original book but what there is is helpful. I originally gave this two stars but having read more, I would give it three. The book is most helpful in elucidating sub-genre but you still need the original STC.

Remember that the author's approach is not cut-and-paste. Snyder'... Read more

More Trouble for Screenwriters to Get into ... and Out of

Review:Where the book scores: It teaches tried and true methods for organizing screenwriting. It teaches ways of creating empathetic heroes and hated antagonists. It teaches basic screenwriting formula in a fairly interesting way.

Where it falls short: It teaches formula. To some degree formula is what Hollywood is looking for--so great. But it's a little sad to see these same tired ideas trotted out in yet another book for another generation of writers to punch out the next sequels, prequels an... Read more

Adult Coloring Book: Designs
Adult Coloring Book: Designs

Review:Like the content and overall style of designes. Paper is a bit thin, but using a piece of cardstock underneath the page helps. Some details are way to small for the pens and markers I like to use for coloring. If using pencils, can't press to hard as it can rip or damage paper. Read more
