Review:Mark Lewisohn has put together a phenomenal and very detailed Anthology of the Bealtes recorded music. The day to day "logs" of the recording sessions shows how the Beatles progressed through their career and how they eventually took much more control of the way thing were done in the studio. A great read for Beatle fanatics. Read more
Review:This is certainly an interesting story and a poignant look at the way mass hysteria can shape a culture. Though it was written during the Communist witch hunt in America and written about Puritan times, it certainly can be applied to modern times. It’s interesting to read through this and see that though the times may change, humans are rather unchangeable. Read more
Review:The 50th Law is a focused and personal supplement to Greene's earlier 48 Laws of Power. Although Greene has not had the experience of whispering advice into the ears of world leaders, he understands and writes very well about the realities of succeeding in the corporeal world. I consider Robert Greene a modern day Niccolo Machiavelli and these two works are modern versions of "The Prince". Read more
Review:Oh, my god, my house is like a non-stop self-help convention. The rotating cast of literary works cluttering my sofa is nauseating. I'm like "Baby, you're perfect, you can't improve on this model." She's all "You need to allow yourself to change! You're stifling yourself and by extension me! You're just like your father." Pshaw, whatever that means, back to XBox. Read more
Review:Kafka is much more then the Metamorphosis and the Trial, and this collection demonstrates why. Kafka offered much while he delivered little, meaning that he opens up a universe of possibilities while confirming nothing. Nothing materializes, everything is fog. Stories that sound as if they're going to reveal the meaning of life end up only irritating you, and others, such as A Crossbreed, bore you until the final few sentences when you suddenly realize what you've been reading, and almost cry. Review:This is heralded as one of Steinbeck's best. I'm disappointed. It's just personal taste. The voice goes from 1st to 3rd person which doesn't flow smoothly in my humble opinion. But, why take my opinion? I'm at odds with literary history. I suggest that no one base a decision on one person's view of a literary w y. Give it a try. At least you can say you've read a class Steinbeck novel! Read more
Review:I purchased this book for a class to read a couple chapters, but kept it to read more about the philosophical spin that Hoff puts on the stories of Pooh.
Very interesting read, and makes one stop and ponder life and its wonders. Read more
Review:Even though this package took a while to get, I’m glad I finally received it yesterday afternoon. I was excited but at the same time amazed at how large the book was. It definitely felt like one of those school text books to me lol. I can’t wait to start my Zelda: BoTW over again with this new strategy guide I received. Read more
Review:This book is Terry Pratchett at the top of his game. One of my favourite Disc world novels. Pratchett manages to blend fantasy, science and social commentary with ease, I still laugh out loud at the jokes, even though I've read the book 5 or 6 times. Read more
Review:Отличная книжка. Читается легко и интересно. Специфичный пратчетовский юмор как всегда на высоте и ни с чем не сравнится. Определенно стоит своих денег. Read more
