Review:I love this series, but this book is extra special because of the story behind it. Lauren wrote the I Survived series for her three boys who disliked reading. She wanted stories for boys, with boy heroes. She succeeded so well that girls started asking for heroes too. In book 14 Lauren came through with Jess, but she didn’t forget boys. Jess and a pair of twin boys visit Mount. St. Helens eight weeks before the eruption. They’re trying to track down the truth about Skeleton Woman, but the ... Read more

Review:A great historic tale told well and extremely entertaining. So now I am hooked on the Grail quest series. No one does better at making English history come alive for an American reader.

Review:Dame Agatha Christie would be pleased, I think. The Prisoner in the Castle pays homage to And Then There Were None and Murder on the Orient Express. It's an engaging, twisty locked room mystery. Maggie Hope finds herself trapped with a killer, will she escape the island or will it become her burial place?
Maggie soon discovers that she is a prisoner, completely cut off from the outside world. No phone, no news, no radio, and no family looking for her as they have been told she, and her fellow... Read more
Review:Thought Provoking Read! I love reading WWI British literature. This book gives an insightful look into the lives of those involved in WWI. While trying to uplift and maintain the spirits of loved ones on the battlefields of Europe and those remaining at home, the realities of life are carefully managed. Read more
Review:I kept getting taken out of the Victorian period by some of the speech patterns of the characters, and word choice of the first person narration. For $1.99 it was alright. I won't be reading the sequels. Read more
Review:What a delightful, charming story has been written by Antoine Laurain. It will long be remembered as a favorite of mine. The twist at the end has thoroughly captivated me. I can't wait to read more of Laurain's works. Read more
Review:This author is a guarantee for excellent Reading. The present title is no exception. Sincé many years I do not consider myself a Christian anymore, less a Catholic and Mr. Boyne does confirm my (un)believings with this book which describes the rotten system of the church in Ireland. Review:The book is interesting and entertaining the whole way through. One thing that was a challenge to get used to was the fact that there was no dialogue. There were conversations within characters, however no distinctive quotations. It read's as if Daisy, the main character, were sitting in front of you to tell the story. Overall very good, easy read to pass time! Read more
Review:This was the second time purchasing this title, along with, The Napping House, as a gift for my friend's little girls. The first time was for my own girls, now 19, 17 and 11. My youngest still enjoys it, and they all would recommend it. Fun, funny verse, and the illustrations are lush & whimsical. This book is superb! Read more
