Practice to Deceive
Practice to Deceive

Review:Many of my favorite books were written by Ann Rule, but this entire book was a let down. My overall impression is that it was thrown together and Ms. Rule did not seem too excited to tell the story. This boring story was not memorable, satisfying, or interesting. Read more

The Stripper Diaries
The Stripper Diaries

Review:this was definitely interesting. I'm a huge trisha fan and have been curious about her stripper days for awhile. I didn't like how if just abruptly ended though. I know it was just a diary but it ended so randomly. overall I suggest this. especially of you're a fan of hers Read more

Lessons between the Lines - The Story of Channon Rose
Lessons between the Lines - The Story of Channon Rose

Review:Exaggerated, Whiny, Irresponsible! I accidentally came across this born again porn star on YouTube and have found her anxiety driven bipolar hypochondriac personality annoying..but when I saw this book I though I better read it because everyone deserves a chance and maybe I just understood her wrong. Bad Choice!! This book just talks about her playing the victim and for a person who does really nothing in life but "drawing" and wearing a onsie it's unreal the complaints. If you want to read a st... Read more

Reading Lolita in Tehran: A Memoir in Books
Reading Lolita in Tehran: A Memoir in Books

Review:I read "Reading Lolita in Tehran" when it first came out and have purchased many copies as gifts for my friends. Ms. Nafisi is an incredible story teller with intresting observations about personal qualities of the people she comes in contact with. She describes the events that have influenced her life with such honesty and clarity that it is hard to put the book down. I strongly recommend this book to everyone as a pleasant experience in discovering a new world observed through the author's per... Read more

The True Story of an Unwanted Chinese Daughter - Falling Leaves Return to Their Roots
The True Story of an Unwanted Chinese Daughter - Falling Leaves Return to Their Roots

Review:My late paternal great-aunt, 1/4 unknown European and 3/4 Chinese was the only grand-family that my father counted on financially since the sudden death of his father at age of 8 in 1945. She was mean and tended to verbally abuse her own family and even step-family who later supported her at old age. She expected everyone to look up to her and to always say good morning, great-aunt every day from us. I grew up fearing her in my home when she came to visit us from San Francisco to Hong Kong al... Read My Pins: Stories from a Diplomat's Jewel Box
Read My Pins: Stories from a Diplomat's Jewel Box

Review:My wife enjoyed this book. She loved the fact that Madeleine Albright's sense of humour and sense of occasion was transported through her gorgeous collection of pins and also that Heads of State from around the world could determine how a meeting was going to work out by looking at the pin she was wearing on her lapel. She also shared wonderful memories through her jewellery. Read more

Madam Secretary: A Memoir
Madam Secretary: A Memoir

Review:MEMIORS
Look at the subject then read on. Most of the reviews on Madeleine were negative, but personally think the book is really good. Madeleine's memior is was much more candid then Margaret's memiors which more textbook. Both had twins, Madeleine had 2 girls that look the same, Margaret had boy and girl. Madeleine had a divorce and Margaret didn't. I could go on forever, but I stop here. I hope Madeleine comes to my town's book store to sign her book for the customers. Thank you. Read more

A reporter investigates the darkest story of his life. His own.

Review:David Carr was a very courageous and talented man. His life could have easily continued to spiral out of his control had he not made significant changes for the sake of his daughters. His book was a page turner. Read more
