First time reading a Liz Johnson novel and I really enjoyed the storyline, the people, and their personalities. There wasn't intense mystery, action, or romance. But, I loved how the characters grew in friendship and fell in love and overcame difficulties. I was drawn in and enjoyed wanting to know more about the town and the people.

This a delightful story with strong characters and a strong storyline. It has faith, friendship, caring, love and learning to face the struggles and circumstances of life. And strangers becoming a family.

An entertaining novel. A young lady trying to run from her unloving father and his trying to use the rape of his daughter for his own personal gain.
With the love of strangers she was able to find her place in life again.

The characters in this book are very well developed, so that by the end of the book I feel as if they are friends. I've always wanted to visit Prince Edward Island and now I want to stay at the Red Door Inn. If only I could...

Enjoyed the story line and the characters. I've always wanted to visit PEI because of Anne of Green Gables.... And this book helped me to imagine being there. Would definitely recommend for others to read this book.

Good writing, good story, and a little tense because I wanted it to work out so much. I was happy with the ending. I want to share it with my sister who took me to a wonderful bed and breakfast in Texas last year for my 65th birthday.

This book is a captivating and delightful read. She writes lovely word pictures of Prince Edward Island. Loved her reference to some of my favorite childhood books, the Green Gables series. I look forward to reading more of her work.

I loved the sensitivity of the tale - one of such unconditional kindness turning to love of one stranger towards
another - an older man & a young girl seeking refuge. I highly recommend this story with the back drop being
such a beautiful location it will charm you.

The character development was gradual yet intriguing and the plot unfolded beautifully. It was like watching a rose bloom in slow motion.

I loved the raw emotions and the talented writing. The characters are so real and makes us want to reach out and help a neighbor in need. So blessed to have traveled this journey with the story. The descriptions of the island and it's inhabitants makes me want to set sail right now.

Great characters - really liked how the owner of the inn took in a complete stranger and how those involved with the Red Door Inn. worked together and of course there are a few secrets that needed to come out to round out the story. Very enjoyable read.

Enjoyed this story. Has a good feeling of real people. Someday maybe I'll visit the island.
Good story on how to heal and move on with disappointments and reach out to heal and move on.
Will look for more of Liz Johnson

The main character was a little weak for my taste at the beginning but had developed better character by the end. I hope all her heroines aren't weak willed as the first one. I like the fact it is a Christian romance so there was no need for all the sexual exploits that fill other romances. So boring.

The Red Door is a heartwarming story that makes you remember what really matters in life. The characters became friends, and I look forward to the next chapter in their lives. It is the kind of book perfect to curl up with on a cold or rainy day.

This book is really quite a wonderful book. There is a lot of religious references to God and prayers that isn't really my normal reading choice but the book was so good I didn't put it down. I'd recommend giving it a try.

Liz Johnson's charming story makes me want to pack for a visit to PEI and The Red Door Inn. Her characters and their initial vulnerabilities are gently drawn together by circumstances causing them to trust more in God and one another. A very enjoyable read with a sweet ending.

The story is complex, with deep wounds that need healing. Johnson's magic touch kept me turning the page again and again.
Now that I've reached the last page I'm longing for more. Sigh...
