There were parts of this book when I laughed till I cried! Maybe because I've been there, done that? At times it seemed to be a little repetitious, though. What brought it all together for me was the introspection and self analysis. While entertaining to the reader, it clearly was a catharsis for the author. How will he follow up?

Hounded was a fantastic read on many different levels. Matt uses the love and appreciation of his three dachshunds to demonstrate just how simple and complicated life can be. I laughed, I cried and mainly smiled after reading each page. The stories of Baxter, Maya and Molly remind us how it really is easy to love with your whole heart and listen with your eyes as much as your ears.

Matt's humour and penamnship really bring this memoir to life and provide a book that is not only relatable but generationally relevant. I reccomend this book to everyone who has ever owned a dog and especially a little weiner.

Sharing that doxie love!

Received this book as a birthday gift from a dear friend who knows how I love my own doxies. The cover drew me in, but the stories of living with these three characters interspersed with those of Matt's own life experiences kept me reading without interruption. I rarely read an entire book in one sitting these days, but could not wait to read each new chapter. Funny, poignant, and the best read I have had in a long time.

Hooked on Hounded! I LOVED this book. I laughed, cried, empathized and laughed again. I loved to hear how these adorable canines impacted Matt's life. A well written memoir of Matt's life with his family of humans and hounds. Anyone who owns dogs and deals with everyday life events will like this book. The writing is wonderful...very funny...situations with which many can identify. It was hard to put down, once I started reading it. I'm waiting for the movie!

Just finished enjoying this book written by Matt Ziselman. If you have ever had a Dachshund you should read this book.
I listened to his book and he brings back memories of your childhood, we have a lot in common. I had two doxies in my 30's and while they are not with me now, you feel like running out and buying another puppy. I look forward to his next book.
GOOD READING MATT!
Keep it up!

Hilarious and touching book not just about Doxies but about life. Enjoyed the story about the authors life interwoven with his 3 dogs. Could relate with alot of what the author was conveying. Can not wait till the next book !

I found myself laughing out loud in one chapter and crying like a baby in the next. It is clever, thoughtful, and heartwarming. Admittedly I have a short attention span but Hounded pulled me in and kept me there for hours at a time. It felt more like hearing a story rather than reading a book. You needn't be an animal enthusiast to enjoy this memoir however Matt's puppies will change your tune. I fell in love with them!!

Being a proud dachshund owner myself, I was captivated by the tales of the three little citters in this book. It was also amazing to realize the life lessons that can be learned from these low to the ground hounds. I have been considering what life lessons my doxies have taught me. Loved the photos at the end of each chapter. Great read for dog lovers and dachshund owners.

Awesome book. Both funny and sad. The author tells his story about life with his little doxies, each with completely different personalities. If you have doxies, or are a dog lover, you would enjoy this book. However, it isn't all about the dogs, so if that is what you are looking for you may be disappointed. It is also about the author's life, growing up, and living life, learning from past mistakes. An inspirational read.
