I Dissent: Ruth Bader Ginsburg Makes Her Mark

An awesome and inspiring book. My 3rd-grade daughter read it in school and liked it so much that she encouraged us to get it. Manages the tricky task of concisely covering the facts of RBG's biography in a way that also conveys the essence of her personality. As good as the best of the Who Is/Who Was books (which I also really like).

This book is fantastic! I purchased it for my daughter and ended up also purchasing one for my niece. RBG is a formidable figure to look up to for young girls and this book captures her life and accomplishments in a way that is easy to understand for children.

This is an outstanding picture book biography. I love the way the author has identified a central theme of RBG's life -- refusing to tolerate injustice -- and used that to tie together a narrative of her life. Obviously, it's brief and incomplete, but it conveys the essential truths of her story. Brilliantly done. I'd recommend this one for all ages.

Loving this book for my daughter! What an amazing role model Justice Bader Ginsburg is for women everywhere. She is only 9 months so she will grow in to this book, but I love the illustrations and a strong, female role model!

What an amazing and inspiring person and a VERY well written and illustrated book for kids as young as 4 (or younger depending on how quiet they can sit through longer books). My 6 year old daughter enjoys reading it on her own as well as having it read to her. Very inspiring and RBG is an incredible role model for anyone!!

This book is excellent. The book is well written for a wide range of age groups. I first purchased for my 4 year old granddaughter and then again for my friend's grandchildren. Will actually give this book many times in the future for shower and birthday gifts. Ruth is such an interesting woman and an inspiring roll model.

This book explains issues like equality and discrimination to children in way they can understand, while also reminding adults of the importance of using their voice and fighting for what is right. I love this book so much!

My daughter is seven, and an avid reader. We read this book together (because I wanted to learn myself) and we both loved it. The book does a fantastic job of introducing kids to the incomparable Ruth Bader Ginsburg. My daughter has gained another great role model. I would highly recommend this book, for both girls and boys to be inspired.

Great Topic for a kids book, great illustrations. Has a lot of words per page, which can be a bit much for young kids or to read out loud. It's a great way to introduce this stuff to young kids early.
