What a surprising read. It was perfect, accurately capturing the dying process (which brought back memories of my mother's death) and the love of God and family and friends through that journey. The story is strong, writing well done. High five.

I thought Priest was amazing, this was just good. Definitely more like a romance novel, but still with the contemplation of faith and god. Much more family history, she could easily continue to write the rest of the Bell boys stories.

Sierra Simone hit it out of the park again. Loved this book. Sean is very nasty in the best possible way, but this book had way more than that. It will make you think and make you ball like a baby. Wonderful story Sierra.

A phenomenal book about love, forgiveness, reconciliation, life, death, sex, and all of the things in between. Hot and steamy, sure, but compelling and spiritually stimulating as well. I’ve never read anything else like it.

I thought Priest was something, even Midnight Mass, but this, my goodness!! Sinner is an emotional roller coaster and smoking hot! This story is so good, and I am really hoping there is a part 4 with Aiden and a certain someone!

Wow! This book. Goodness, where to start? This book went way beyond my expectations. I knew going into to it, I would love it. I once told Sierra that I would read anything that she writes, even her grocery list, and I was not joking. Sierra Simone can write! She has a gift, one that I am eternally grateful for because she chooses to share her gift of writing with us.
I had so many emotions reading this book. I knew from experience that this wouldn't be another 'boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, boy gets girl and lives happily ever after" book. It was so much more than that. It covers so many subjects and issues like love and hate, faith and religion, life and death that you find yourself on an emotional roller-coaster throughout the entire book.
Sean was such a complicated character. He was so easy to dislike, so easy to to judge, I thought I had him all figured out before the end of the first chapter. As I read the book, I found he had many, many layers that he tries to hide. He is the oldest brother, and so he feels responsible for everyone around him, from his brothers to his parents and anyone else who needs help. He has the weight of the world on his shoulders, but who does Sean have? Enter Zenny. Just a chance meeting with a mystery girl turns out to be a girl from his past. Zenny is the sister to his best friend, Elijah. It's been years since he's seen her, and when they meet again he is very taken with her. One issue though, she is on track to become a nun. Fate bring them together, but Faith could tear them apart. While Zenny is happy with herself and her life and her unwavering love for God, Sean is the complete opposite. He isn't happy with the cards that have been dealt to his family, and wholly blames God for all of it. He left religion years ago, and has never looked back.
The whole story gripped me from the very beginning. I appreciated getting to read the book from Sean's POV. To know his reasons and his challenges and his internal struggles really gave the story depth. Sean was more than the eye could see. He was both strong but broken. He was whole but empty in the middle. He never had anyone in his life that he could fall apart in front of and know for sure they would pick him back up. He was every thing for everyone else, but no one was anything for him. When he finally gets something good, something so pure, in his life, he feels so undeserving. It takes unconditional love and devastating loss to show him his way and to show him he is deserving.
Zenny, God I loved her. She was strong and beautiful. She was loving and compassionate. She held on to her Faith no matter what Sean threw at her. She was everything that he needed. She was his rock and his heart. She saved Sean just as much as Sean saved her. I would like to believe that God put them on the same path because that was their destiny. Zenny was made for Sean, was his miracle. God had a plan for Zenny all along, and it was more than she could have ever of thought!
It was such a pleasure to read and follow these characters on their journey of finding Faith and their purpose in life.

Sierra Simone has written some absolutely stunning books. Her stories are thought provoking, soul stirring and without fail some of the sexiest reads ever. No one can write a scene quite like Sierra. Sinner is so emotionally riveting, so divine in its approach to God and relationships.

Sierra took on some hefty topics and did them with style, grace and dignity. She shined the light on subjects that so taboo in the African American community - religion, racism, interracial relationships and homosexuality. And while she takes full responsibility for any mistakes that she may have made while writing this book, I have to say this. As an African American woman, this book and everything in it, from Sean's understanding of satin pillowcases to Zenny's moment of explaining the realities of being black in today's society to her love for a man who some may call the enemy, honored me and affirmed that Sierra just plain gets it. She writes this so powerfully that the idea of this taboo interracial affair between a very young and very inexperienced woman who is moments away from becoming a nun and the much older very worldly man who happens to be her brother's best friend with a mission to corrupt her and make her see that God is a farce ceases to be a black and white issue. It simply becomes a love issue.

Sean Bell is all sex and sinful delights. A millionaire playboy in hand tailored suits. He's also very complex and very torn in his relationship with God. His tragic past and how the Catholic church played a hand in his family's devastation has remained at a focal point in his life. His devotion to his family and to his work doesn't leave time for real relationships. He simply doesn't want to make room for love and then one night changes everything he thought he wanted. Zenny Iverson has a plan for her life - to finish on her own two feet, making her own decisions. That means she will finish college, devote herself to God and act in service of His will. But for one night she simply wants to be Zenny and experience it all - life, love... sex. A chance meeting with a man who has been a part of her life since the day she was born will change her life as well. His attention to her body will awaken her. His devotion to her well being will leave her breathless. Things just got a bit more... doubtful.

There are so many jaw dropping moments in this story. So many tears that I found myself wiping off my face. Revelations that left me stunned and had me reassessing my own faith and beliefs. The sexy in this book is scorching hot. The chemistry felt so real. These two people took up a place in my heart and my soul that I cannot give back even if I wanted to. Beautifully presented, masterfully written. Authentic and honest... at times brutally so. This was a emotional mix of heaven, hell and all the lusty moments in between. So very well done. This is one not to be missed.

Sierra Simone has done it again! She has delivered one of the steamiest romances I have read in some time while also slipping in ideas about religion and human relationship with deities, giving readers thoughts to struggle with and come out with either new or strengthened beliefs.

Sean Bell is nothing that I thought he would be. Well, the hot and dirty talking part is spot on, but he was so much more broken then I ever could have imagined. He is a man who punishes himself with the guilt he carries. He uses sex and degradation as a way to show his brokenness within himself and his relationship with God, unbeknownst to him. He is a man who sees things in black and white, sinners and saints, right and wrong. His anger taints his view of the world. Watching him, though, with Zenny and seeing him wrestle with her theological notions is rewarding. We see his growth, his ability to open up and love truly and unselfishly, and his evolution into someone new through it all. He exemplifies how love, not just romantic, is transformative and healing.

Like Sean, Zenny is a heroine I didn’t see coming. Similar to Sierra Simone’s previous heroine, Zenny seems small, maybe even weak on the surface (maybe this is due to her physical description), but her steadfast beliefs, her intelligence, and her ability to reflect speak to an immense strength rare for someone her age. She is strength of MIND. She is compassionate and understanding but forthright with what she wants, never afraid to make demands. Zenny’s unwavering faith is admirable, and it is through her eyes that readers get to experience a more open religious theology. Her journey of self-discovery and reflection is one everyone should experience, whether it is of a religious nature or not. Make no mistake, though, that neither of these journeys are easy; It is brutal, heart-wrenching, and, yet, uplifting.

Sinning with Sean Bell is exactly what I thought it would be, hot and dirty. The scenes between him and Zenny melted my Kindle. Sierra wrote his character so vividly that I could her the timbre of his voice as he spouted his delicious, sexy filth and giving his orders, making me weak in the knees. Like her other stories, Sinner discuss societal issues, in this particular case religion and faith, showcasing issues plaguing theology, areas of reformation and change, and most importantly, the belief and anger most people struggle with in relation to their relationship with God. Sierra does not get on her soapbox telling people how to live, but through her characters she offers up questions & asks readers to consider alternatives, to become more reflective. I found myself as equally enamored with this aspect of the story as I did with the romance of Zenny and Sean. She intertwines romance and religion so flawlessly that there cannot be one without the other, and even in their dirtiest moments and scandalous conversations, we see religion take a part. Her ability to make sex not shameful but holy will never fail to astound me.

When I pick up a Sierra Simone novel, I know that I’m getting a story that will not only be hot and dirty but will also be a story that forces me to examine the world, my beliefs, and my established perceptions. Through her characters she present ideas for readers to grapple with and we come out changed as a result. For better or worse? Well, that is up to the reader, but no matter the characters or the journey, Sierra Simone effects change with her words, making her a truly inspirational writer not just in romance but literature as well.

For goodness sake! Sinner by Sierra Simone has left me on cloud number nine. My mind is still far away. This is the most sinful, forbidden and so hot book I have read. I devoured it like the starved little sinner I am. Sinner is a forbidden book with capital letters.

Each page was a twist to my heart and something inside me died painfully slowly. I was addicted to this book since the first pages.

As a Catholic girl I was a little afraid to read it because of the religion topic however this book was something else. For me it was not offensive to my beliefs. Still, I have not the right words to describe how much I love this book.

Sinner is a sinful masterpiece. It is an all-consuming taboo that left me wanting more.

I heard good things about Sierra's writing style. They warn me that once I read a Sierra's book I won't be able to stop reading her books and they weren't wrong. Sierra Simone's writing is addictive and tempting and so filthy and dirty (in the best ways possible).

Dean and Zenny’s relationship gave to a taboo a new meaning. They reflect how easy is for human beings to fall into temptation. They made me wonder what is wrong and what is right. To choose sin over good. To claim God when bad happen and He didn't stop it. We should understand that any Church or Belief is ruled by humans and therefore they are not perfect. They make mistakes. That is one of many of the human conditions. God is love and forgiveness. This book reaffirm me that forgiveness and redemption is possible for everyone.

Sean Bell is the clear example of a sinner. He devoted his life to material and carnal things. His beliefs were shaken. Sean is a sinner in flesh. Money and sex rule his life. But every sinner gets tired at some point. Every sinner seeks redemption. I love everything about Sean. He is strong and weak at the same time. His soul is broken but hope is tinkling deep inside him. He lost faith in God but Zenny will remind him the good in the bad. She will awaken a strong and pure feeling that will renew his faith.

This book is told only by the male character. Yup. You will enjoy the sinful mind of Sean Bell. He is the sinner that will tempt your body and soul. It is so yummy and exceptional to read a book all told by the male character. It is more filthy and dirty, more graphic and so sensual.

Sinner is my first Sierra's book and it won't be the last. She delivered a phenomenal story with many shapes and colours. It is clever the way she describes the human conditions. Her characters are so real and human.

I highly recommend you this book. It is a must read you should not miss.

I suppose I first fell in love with Sierra Simone’s writing when Porn Star came out, although I didn’t realize it was her at the time co-writing with Laurelin Paige. I read that book, and fell in love with the style of writing that was given to us. Then this past Christmas, I kept hearing about her New Camelot series, and I took some time away from my blogging to jump into this world of New Camelot. I was simply blown away by her writing and realized I had read her before, just a joint writing effort with another writer. I was so captivated by that story that I had to seek out more of her work. When Sinner came up as her next release I had to jump on it. I haven’t read Priest yet, however after reading about Zenny and Sean in Sinner, I am now dying to know Tyler’s story and can’t wait to go back to read that as well.

In Sinner we get the story of Zenny Iverson and Sean Bell. Sean is one of Tyler’s brothers, from the first book of the series, Priest. Sean is a sinner in the best kind of way. He does things his way, and he’s untouchable. Zenny is his best friend’s little sister and when the two first see each other after 14 years apart, sparks fly that ignite something between the two that take us on an adventurous journey of the exploration of sexuality. Zenny is one month out from completing her journey into the church as a nun, currently a postulant, and asks Sean for the same month to show her what she’ll be missing after she commits herself to God and the church.

This book is very different from any other romance/erotica that I have ever read, in that we see how devout her faith is, while also seeing her blossom into a sexual being. The two both struggle with their arrangement as time progresses, as well as her personal commitment to God. Sean has lost his way years ago, after tragedy struck his family, and he refuses to ever look up to God again for anything; While Zenny is committing herself to Him in the purest of ways, dedicating her life to God and the church. The entanglement between these two worlds seems so forbidden and it’s everything we’ve been taught is prohibited if you want to be a strong person of faith. Yet, Sierra has found a way to show us their story while keeping conviction in Zenny’s heart at the same time she reopens Sean’s heart. It’s simply flawless how she has developed these two very complex characters that are very sexual beings, and must navigate their way around their faith and beliefs.

This story was flawless and I can’t wait to see if we get a story of Aiden as well!

I want to sing Hosanna after reading Sinner, a standalone, the second book in the Priest series. Beware, Sean Bell, the main character is an unapologetic manwhore who loves his dirty talk; I know he’ll be added to the list of infamous book boyfriends we love and fantasize over. This is a book you really don’t want to read in public; you’ll understand once you start it! This May-December story, told in dual POV, is an amazing and emotional journey filled with sensual pleasure and heartache. While much of the story revolves around the Church, and its doctrine, it is informative and contemplative without being preachy, almost like an interesting secondary character.

Sean Bell, at thirty-six, runs into Zenobia “Zenny” Iverson at a charity dance and is immediately taken by the young, twenty-one year old student. He’s surprised to later find out she’s his best friend’s little sister. But he’s more than shocked when she tells his she’s on the verge of taking vows, to become a nun in a month, and she has a little proposition for him that he finds hard to turn down.

For a man who lost his faith years ago, and dealing with a family member who’s seriously ill, Sean is having a crisis of sort. He’s used to being unattached, the only people he loves are his parents and siblings, and he’s proud of the professional and economic position he’s worked so hard for and achieved.

Zenny crashes into his life and hits him like a wrecking ball. Sean never expected to have such strong feelings for any woman; especially Zenny who despite her youth and innocence is a very headstrong and decisive woman. When he agrees to her proposal, knowing it would be beneficial to him too, he begins to spend time getting to know his little Zenny-bug and ultimately, and unfortunately, gets attached to her.

“I’m acutely painfully aware that she’ll never be mine. She will always be God’s.”

And poor Sean, he never expected the plan to take such a drastic, and heart wrenching, turn.

“I want to build a tower around you, and then build a castle around that tower, and then dig a moat around that castle, and then I want to guard you like a dragon. Burn anyone who tries to hurt you into ash and then scorch those ashes a second time.”

To say his heart got involved would be an understatement. I loved this story! It made me cry tears of anguish, not sure if this would have a happy ending, that’s how amazing this story is. And while the love story is incredible there’s another story within this one; of a family facing a serious crisis and how they ultimately come to accept the inevitable outcome.

4 stars for - Sinner - book two in the Priest series by the wickedly talented Sierra Simone. While this is technically the third book in the series it can be read as a complete stand-alone, but if you have not yet indulged in book one - Priest - and a novella (1.5) - Midnight Mass - go now, actually you should run and read them...I can't even begin to tell you all that you are missing out on! As with most of Ms. Simone's writing she holds NOTHING back often hitting topics that others may find taboo, illicit and at times even scandalous, but she does so in ways that captivate and leave you wanting more.
Sean Bell has it all - good looks, a great job, more money he could spend in this lifetime and a new woman in his bed every night. Attending a charity function was supposed to be just another night out, but he meets a goddess in a red dress that takes his breath away. Having to abruptly leave the function causes him to miss out on a night with his beauty, but unbeknownst to him they will be meeting again sooner than he could ever possibly imagine.
Zenobia (Zenny) Iversen is a twenty-one-year-old college senior who is about six weeks away from taking her vows of chastity prior to becoming a nun. Zenny is also in her last year of nursing school and plans on specializing by becoming a mid-wife. As ambitious as she is with both nursing and her duties to become a nun she still pushes herself to do more, to live up to the expectations of her mother - the judge and her father - the doctor. Attending the gala and dressing up was to be her last hurrah of sorts before she buckled down and took her vows, so she never expected to see the one man she has loved since she was a little girl looking so handsome and tempting in a tuxedo. The amusing part is he doesn't even realize that she is his best friend's baby sister.
This was a beautifully written love story that kept me invested from start to finish. With so many obstacles in their way and the drama of everyday life it was an intricate tale that I truly enjoyed. The other Bell brothers also made appearances in this book and if the author is wondering whether or not we would read those books as well the answer would be a resounding YES! It seems my fires burn the hottest for Father Jeremy Bell and I will ALWAYS kneel at that man's altar, but his brother the - Sinner - is pretty darn hot and filthy too :)

Sinner by Sierra Simone is book three in her Priest series and it stars Father Bell's brother, Sean Bell. A standalone contemporary romance about love, forgiveness, and finding that life is still worth living with the ones you love even after tragedy. Since the tragedy that befell the Bell family, Sean has been working non-stop to make money and caring for his family, which includes paying for the best doctors and care for his mother as she battles cancer. When a contract his company landed hits a roadblock he is sent to talk to the tenants, a group of nuns helping the community, to try to get them to leave so they can demolish the building. It should be easy… However, when the nun (or postulant) he is meeting turns out to be Zenobia Iverson, his best friend's little sister and the same woman he flirted with and almost kissed the night before, he is thrown for a loop.

Zenny is on her way to finishing her nursing degree and about to enter her training towards being a nun. But when she realizes she is not being stricken with periods of intense temptation or doubt, she thinks it may be because she doesn't know what she is missing. So she asks Sean for help. Soon these two characters agree to spending a month together, but what will happen at the end?

Sean and Zenny are obvious opposites. A nun and a playboy. The combustion when these two get together is epic. Zenny is stubborn, independent and intent on getting her way, but she is also young and inexperienced and has a whole lot to learn. Sean is complicated, worldly and missing something that maybe he doesn't even know. Each corrupts the world of the other in just the right way and together are more than the sum of their parts.

Overall, Sinner by Sierra Simone was a hot read with dirty, sensual scenes but also romance and real character development that will have you falling for Sean and Zenny for so many different reasons.

(I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book I received for free in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)

Last year, I read a trilogy called New Camelot Trilogy that not only started my fascination of Sierra Simone's books but also my adoration. I tell you, this author can write one hell of a book. Sinner was such a ride!!!!!This book revved up my emotions and kick start my heart while bringing up steam, emotion and sexiness with a mesmerizing and illuminating plot. My heart CLIMAXED. My soul CLEANSED. My body MESHED. Sinner hands down is one of my favourite books of the year. Sierra Simone totally outdid herself.

I love it when author challenges herself in her writing and gives me a multi faceted and different book. To me, it is liberating and brings a certain excitement and giddiness to me. With Sinner, Sierra Simone brought a unique storyline that totally made me fall in love. Hot. Soul Gripping. Emotionally Moving. Magnificent. Captivating. Sinner was a romance that incinerated me in the best way. This book wrecked me. This book made me all hot and bothered. This book just blew me away. Sierra Simone is a poet. She is a wordsmith. Her writing just draws you in to her world and simply trap you in. Sinner explores the ambiguity of sex, sin and faith managing to bring me into a perfect, heart wrenching and beautiful romance novel.

In Sinner, we are introduced to Sean Bell, a rich man who is cynical about faith and God. Written in his POV, you are catapulted into a mind of a man who cares about wealth and money. He meets, Zenny Iverson, a diverse and vibrant woman who challenges him and make him think about his life. I adore Sean. He us commanding and sexy man who is always in control. I swooned hard for him. I loved delving deep into his mind and exploring a man with a broken past and the struggles he faces. I loved Zenny too. Full of life, sassy, vixen, brilliant, she made a perfect contrast to Sean.

Sinner truly is a must read. I highly recommend it. Be prepared to be swept away by Sean Bell and Zenny Iverson journey to love and faith.

Holy smokes!!! Sinner was an intense, deliciously sexy and a provocative reading journey! If you are new to this series, you don't need to start with Priest to follow Sean and Zenny's story. I highly recommend the first two books in this series, but you won't feel lost if you start with Sinner. It will make you want to read them even more!

Sean Bell is a sinner with a dimpled smile and perfect hair. He's not afraid to get what he wants and that means even what is forbidden. Zenny Iverson knows that asking her brother's best friend for one night of passion is dangerous. He's older, more experienced and a temptation that makes her crave more. Zenny's proposition takes Sean by surprise and the lines between them begging to blur. She takes his breath away. Sean's world is about to be turned upside down by the only person who can take his control away.

I don't want to spoil anything by saying more about the story. Every reader needs to discover Zenny and Sean just like I did. The connection between Zenny and Sean was insanely hot! Your clothes will melt off your body during this reading journey!!! Sean Bell is one dirty talker you do not want to miss! *Fans Face* This author wrote some pretty steamy scenes, but emotional ones as well. You could feel the walls around Sean's heart break one by one from the moment he reconnected with Zenny. She made him want more of life. Zenny was an intriguing heroine from the moment she was introduced in the story. I loved how she pushed all of Sean's buttons and how she decided which path her life would take.

If you have not read this author's work, you're seriously missing out! Sierra Simone's writing style will captivate you from beginning to end! Her characters will have you cheering for them and their story will linger with you for days. Sinner was a passionate, emotional and page-turning reading journey!

I give, Sinner, by Sierra Simone, 4 captivating, taboo, deliciously erotic, intense stars!

Mmmm - it was dirty and addicting.

There is something even more dirty when there is this level of badness/tabooness in a book. When two people who shouldn't be doing what they are doing and certainly not where they are doing it. That is what you have here. The mixture of religion and sex, where finding yourself and what your path is, is not as easy as you first thought.

Sean is a focused businessman. He likes his money, he likes his women and he likes his Macallan 18. He doesn't believe in the church or God. He doesn't believe in the power of prayer, but he does believe in the almighty power of the dollar. The religious ship sailed for him many years ago but he is willing to worship the ground that this vixen walks on, once they meet at a gala.

Little does he know that this vixen is none other than his best friends little sister. Someone he hasn't seen in years and also someone who is a month away from marrying God. Zenny is young, but an old soul. She is thoughtful and devote in her beliefs and path. So devote that there is a fear that she hasn't had the chance to experience all of life before she takes that final step. So when the perfect non-believer finds himself into her life he becomes the answer to begin Project Doubt.

With some heavy life things happening around these two and the explosive chemistry they have towards each other, I found myself sucked into this story. There were also a number of moments for reflection. This is a book that makes you think and question, while in the next instance blushing and in need for a cold glass of water. Religion is a highly debatable topic and watching Sean struggle with it while Zenny embraces it made for a story with depth, not just a sexy romance. I have been a fan of this author for some time and she has this ability to weave a scorching tale with heavy topics and rich details. It seems that we are not quite done with the Bell family though and there is perhaps another story to tell.

“I’m starting to have the uncomfortable feeling that I’m in a Wakefield novel myself, that I’m the hapless hero or heroine who starts to fall in love even though I know better, even though I know that’s not the arrangement, even though I know I’ll have my heart broken”

So I am going to start this review by praising the name that is Sierra Simone. The one thing I can say about her writing is that she goes full force. No holds bar, no cookie cutting her words and I love it so damn much. Her stories are raw, gritty, and sexy everything that filthy minded readers, like me, will enjoy. She did such a wonderful job with telling Zenny and Sean’s story; she gave us naughty with just the right amount of angst mixed right in.

“I pull her tight to my chest, and we stay there for a long time, quiet and sticky, all while I register the fact that I’m felling things an old man like me has no right to feel about a young woman like her, and I’m not sure at all what to do about it”

I freaking love the hell out of this book. Sean is just what I love in a male lead; he’s a little bit damaged with the right filthy mouth and an alpha male side that you cannot help but to fall in love with. To watch him still struggle with the death of Lizzy and his belief in the Catholic church is one that will allow you to see another side of him. Once he Zenny enters his life we see him struggle with another part of him which we get to see him try to open up to in the end. Sean needed Zenny in life, even though he didn’t realize it in the beginning. To watch him come to certain revelation about his life was so mind blowing to him. Sometimes we get so blinded by anger that we don’t see the horrible things right in from of us and to see Sean take those blinders off was beautiful to watch. Sierra created two characters that you will have no choice but to fall in love with. Not only that but the woman write some of the hottest, filthiest, naughtiest sex scenes I’ve ever read and I love every single minute of it.

SINNER Is the second book in Sierra Simone’s (Priest) series. If you loved Tyler Bell in Priest then without a doubt you are definitely going to love Sean Bell. You'll love to hate him and hate to love him.

Sean Bell is a man all about power and money. He a womaniser and makes no excuses about it. He's angry at the church with very good reason and has lost all trust in faith. He doesn't do relationship's woman serve a purpose! But that all changes when a brief encounter with a beautiful woman that he can't seem to get out of his head.

When his path crosses with this beauty again he's world is completely knock on his ass. As the beauty turns out to be, Zenny. His best friend little sister that is completely off limits and 15 years younger than him and the topping, she’s going to be a nun. He hasn’t seen her in 14 years and he didn’t know that she grew up to be so damn gorgeous.

Zenny is a postulant and has a month left before taking her vows. She wants to know what would she be missing and almost gave up on finding out until she ran into her childhood crush, Sean Bell. As in her brother best friend and much older man. But she didn’t care. She wanted to explore everything with Sean.

What we get next is a rollercoaster of a deeply emotional read!!

I love and appreciated Sierra Simone's exploration of the virtues of faith, beliefs and religious convictions. She writes these stories is such away that they show great respect for faith, which on face value you wouldn't expect. I urge people to give this read ago and not look at it as a slander to the catholic faith. I am a practicing catholic and my religion has its faults like all. This is not just a smut fest read of priest's and nun's! It's a read with so much depth, there is so much emotion packed into this Stunning, Sexy, Devastating read. You can't help but feel and fall in love with these characters.

**I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review by the author**

First of all, Sierra Simone is the bomb. Point blank. Period. She writes fan-freaking-tastic romance novels that not only have great characters, plot, and just general vibe but also great sex. I have loved everything she has ever written and this book is no exception.

I had previously read Priest and the subsequent novella and absolutely loved them. So I was super freaking excited to get my hands on this copy.

One of the great things I liked about this particular novel was the fact that Simone still kept it taboo and forbidden. I mean, homegirl is a nun! All the raunchy things that the main hero were saying were so wrong in the best way. The hero and heroine even get busy in a nun-run shelter and the heroine is in her uniform! So wrong, but so right.

I also liked how the heroine was black. Usually books that have couples that are interracial or feature a black character get those really bad publishing labels saying that a book is only for black readers. You know the ones. They're usually in Target and they have their own special shelf. But this one didn't focus on race in a way that distracted from the overall message. The main character was black and she wanted to become a nun. No big deal. <--- Which was awesome because everything about everything is a big deal nowadays.

The one thing I didn't feel was right was the ending. I know romance novels are supposed to have the traditional Happily Ever After or else it isn't a romance novel. However, I felt as if the heroine should have stuck with her gut and still went through with the decision she was fighting with the whole damn time. I feel as if the heroine changed herself and what she wanted for herself for a guy was just wrong. I understand what Simone was trying to pull off here but I think, creatively, it would have been a more interesting and "real" story if the heroine and the hero didn't get together in the end. I think they could have rocked the bittersweet love angle for the rest of their lives - the one that got away, except one belongs to God.

All in all, an EXCELLENT story and I was so happy to be back with these characters after what felt like a gazillion years.

On to the next!

Everyone knows Sierrra Simone is the queen of smut, so it's unsurprising that this book is insane levels of dirty nasty sexy, she never ever disappoints when it comes to bringing the heat. Maybe more surprising to some (but not to me) is that a book called Sinner, that's all about a taboo age gap and a nun having sex, has so much soul and depth.

This book took me through a journey, it brought all the good dirty stuff I was looking for and then it made me think about my life, it made me question societal norms (which I do anyway but that's beside the point) and it made me question my own views and relationship with religion. In the long run I think this book strengthen my spirituality and really broaden my understanding of ways to worship and be close to God, which I was not expecting at all.

Sean and Zenny are two very refreshing characters. Sierra took the age gap/ best friend's little sister taboo and turned it on it's head. The way it is written is totally unique. Yes Sean is this crazy wealthy sexy rich playboy, but he is also kind of a romantic and he has this crazy depth to him, he does all he can to take care of those he loves and gives so selflessly. He is so nasty in the bedroom but so thoughtful and caring all the time. And Zenny is young and feisty and she knows what she wants, she doesn't let family or society get in her way, and her faith is rock solid. They took my heart and are two of my favorite characters.

It may be crazy to think that this book that contains all this filthy, toe curling, delicious sex also contains a beautiful journey about spirituality, death, family and being true to yourself/making your own path but it does. Sinner is an amazing book that ties it all together in a perfect package. I could go on forever about how great this book is but really all I need to say is just read the book!

Oh, Sean Bell, you were a hot mess of contradiction, but you had me praying with you at the end of this one.

Sierra Simone found my line with Priest.  You know, the line I didn't think I had but clearly did when it came to Father Bell and his attentiveness to a certain parishioner.  So with nervous excitement, I started Sean's story and fell under Sean's spell.

Sean, oldest of the Bell children, is the family fixer.  And he's in full fixer mode in this book.  Determined to fight his mother's cancer, keep his father moving and his younger brothers on the right path, he doesn't leave a lot of time for himself.  But that changes when he runs into a beautiful woman at a gala.  A woman he's known his entire life.  A woman whose faith will make he re-evaluate long-held beliefs.

I loved that it was a woman who was on the cusp of devoting herself to her beliefs that brought Sean to his knees.  His relationship with religion was fraught with pain and he couldn't reconcile his families biggest loss to what Zenny believed and what she was willing to walk away from.  But I think it was his relationship with Zenny and his understanding of why she was doing what she was that helped him come to term with what was happening with his mother.  Otherwise, I think we would have had a very different Sean Bell and the sinner label he wore would have had a much different meaning.

Sierra Simone has a knack for crafting these beautifully flawed characters who stay with you well after you finish the book.  Sean's struggle with his faith and wanting to make sure everyone his loves is happy will stay with me for a long time.

Oh holy book!! Wait let me finish fanning myself. This book was sooooo dirty but yet so damn good!!! ?????

Sean Bell was just panty melting delicious. He doesn’t believe in God, never been in a relationship and is all about power and money. Until Zenny. His best friend little sister that is completely off limits and 15 years younger than him and the topping, she’s going to be a nun. He hasn’t seen her in 14 years and he didn’t know that she grew up to be so damn gorgeous.

Zenny was a postulant and had a month left before taking her vows. She wanted to know what would she be missing and almost gave up on finding out until she ran into her childhood crush, Sean Bell. As in her brother best friend and much older man. But she didn’t care. She wanted to explore everything with Sean.

I must say she was bold and knew what she wanted. The scripts were flipped in this story because Sean was the one with a conscience and saying no. But Zenny was persistent and he can only hold off so much longer. They gave into a one month exploration which turned into much more.

This story wasn’t only about their love affair but also showed how Sean was in general. He was a fixer and he tried everything in his power to make his family comfortable. He always put his mom’s health above his job no matter what.

This book had lots of emotions, lots of wondering about the church and god and what is right and wrong. This book had lots of eye openers and the ending could’ve gone either way. These two love story wasn’t the normal type that’s why you’ll be glued from beginning to end which will leave you wanting more.

Sinner is another gift that Sierra Simone has given us! This book was much lighter in comparison to Simone’s other works (I’m still reeling from The New Camelot trilogy to be honest!) but I really loved it. Sean is the classical older bad boy that every romance reader wants and dreams about but I really enjoyed him because one he is absolutely hilarious and two, very relatable. Faith is a very tricky thing and I think everyone tends to struggle with their own faith at some point in their lives. So what would happen if you brought someone who didn’t believe in a God with someone who does believe in God and wants to devote their life to that God? The Nun and the Sinner.

Zenny is a college study who is solely focused on her goals: becoming a nun and helping others, whereas Sean is an older playboy billionaire dealing with his mother dying of cancer and this insane attraction for someone much, MUCH younger than him. But of course there are complications: Sean shares a small past with her, Zenny is his best friend’s little sister, the age difference and most of all…Zenny is about to become a nun.

The story of the Nun and the Sinner just got a bit more complicated. Zenny and Sean are a wonderful couple and their intimacy and chemistry leaps off the pages as you read. Simone has a such a way of words that I’m either blushing scarlet or re-reading the sentence several times because it was that beautiful and powerful. Sinner is a standalone (part of The Priest series) but I honestly wish there were several more books about Sean and Zenny. One of my favorite reads of 2018 so far!

Sierra Simone’s writing is flawless and somewhat intimidating to me. It’s sexy and so very intelligent. She can take an ordinary scene and add nuances and details that put you right there. The depth she gives her characters allows for a clear picture of exactly who they are - flaws and all. Everything has a deeper meaning. This isn’t scratch-the-surface writing. Sean Bell is an angry, lost, over-achieving, dirty-talking, gorgeous man who lives life without a care. Or so it seems. His inner thoughts are telling. Mad at so many things beyond his control he lives by what he thinks he can control - money, emotions, sex. He’s the older brother, the fixer, the protector and what he deems as failure weighs heavily on him. Enter Zenny Iverson. A beautiful woman, wise beyond her years, but with an innocence and vulnerability that intrigues him and a mission, that when complete, will take her away from him. Is Zenny his voice in the darkness - pulling him back, making him question everything? And is Sean the fix she needs to move forward? Their relationship may be forbidden but the chemistry and connection are hard to deny. Together they are on a completely different level. Religious undertones, questions of faith, love and loss, good and bad all swirl together to make a thought provoking read. And let me just warn you - do not read this in public or at work because this story is hot AF and Sean is the ultimate dirty talker. But there is no doubt that you should definitely read it.

Stunning! Sexy! Devastating!

Sierra Simone writes such beautiful stories and it definitely holds true with this books. I’m blown away! The words grabbed me from the first page to the end.

If you loved Tyler Bell you are definitely going to love Sean Bell for sure. The theme of sex and god that was explored in Priest are explored also in Sinner; in different way and with different characters.

Sean Bell is a sexy millionaire playboy with an appetite for multiple women. He as it all, so he thought till he runs into then one person he wasn’t expecting to change it all.

Zenny Iberian isn’t your typical 21 year old that’s for sure. She’s a searching to become a nun but she’s also his best friends baby sister. We wants to have one night of freedom when she runs into Sean who doesn’t recognize her.

Zenny and Sean have an unbelievable connection from the start. He tries not to do any bc of her age and the fact that she’s his best friends sister. She just want his help before she gives herself over to God. Their journey in hot, steamy and sexy. Its also emotional with the things Sean is dealing with in his family.

I felt for the Bell family, I have been there and it still hurts to this day. I loved this story as much as I did Priest. I definitely would like to now more on the other Bell boys Ryan and Aiden for sure.

Definitely recommend this book. Sierra Simone as another hit on her hands with Sinner!!

I never expected to have a religious experience while reading a romance novel...but this story was EVERYTHING! There was so much depth to the story and these characters- and I felt so much from every moment.

I loved Tyler and Poppy’s story in Priest and Midnight Mass and didn’t expect that a more original, thought provoking story could follow those two books...I was so wrong. Sinner touched on so many social issues as well as continued with the religious theme that fits the Bell family perfectly.

Not only was this a love story, but Sierra Simone managed bring me back to my own religious roots. Like the Bell family, my Catholic beliefs were left behind me after my own bouts of disbelief. This helped me to connect with Sean Bell on such a deeper level that any character I’ve come across.

The author did an outstanding job of touching on how the characters felt conflict between faith and kink, on the everyday struggles for someone with color and on self exploration. How do you differentiate a call to serve God in the church or serve him through your actions? How can you have faith in God at a time when you’re at your lowest? Is it possible to blame God for the bad in your life and still believe he can bring the good?

Not only did this story exceed Priest in the “HOT” factor, but it exceeded all my other expectations.

Sinner is another for my Best of 2018 list!

Holy WOW!!! What a fantastic story this is.

Yes, Sean Bell is a womanizer, he loves his job and money is a big part of his present as well as having his favorite drink every once in a while, but he is also a man hunted by his own thoughts, feelings and beliefs, as well as a past that won't let go and a present that is shaking his faith once again. Don't judge a book by his cover should be his tagline. Zenobia, aka Zenny Iverson is a young woman who has a beautiful soul and so much strength, she's been living most of her life under her parents umbrella, but now that she's on her own she knows what she wants and how to get it. Sean and her have history and that's why she seeks him to fulfill her wishes and desires before she becomes a nun.

We all struggle with situations in life and Sierra Simone has written an amazing tale of the internal battle that we sometimes encounter as human beings. I loved Sean, he has a good heart but his faith has been rocked way too many times and he is a troubled soul trying to navigate through life, that is until Zenny reenters his life. Their chemistry is out of this world, and the fact that they understood each other without judgement made their relationship more meaningful.

This is not a story for the faint of heart, it's erotic, it's poignant, with characters that have many layers to them, sweet and very touching. Ms. Simone outdid herself, simply phenomenal!

Sierra Simone takes her characters and turns then inside out and then takes her readers on a journey that is unexpected with them. To say that she did that with Sinner would not only be the case but so much more.

Sean Bell is a Sinner - at least he believes so. The tragedy his family has faced in the hands of the church has made him the man he is now. All Sean is looking for is to make money, sleep with women and take care of his family by any means necessary. All that changes however when he meets Zenny - not his best friends little sister that use to follow them around, no this is the grown-up version who makes Sean reevaluate all his life choices and look at himself in a different light.

Told completely from Sean's POV we can see why he believes he is a Sinner, we also get to see why maybe he isnt. Zenny (who happens to be 15 years younger) is the purity and feistiness all rolled up into one. Sean wants her and will do anything to get her, even if it is just for one month. The story is complex, with a dirty talking alpha male that you will absolutely fall in love with and a girl that opens up a whole new world for him. Ms Simone not only tells a dirty story she tells a heartbreaking one as well and the combination of the two is fantastic. This is a story I havent stopped thinking about since I finished it and wont forget anytime soon.

Wow, this forbidden romance was so poignant, raw and dirty, yet had some very sweet and funny moments as well. This story explores so many emotional and religious concepts along with heartbreaking personal struggles that make the deliciously dirty moments even more necessary and meaningful. Sean feels so angry at God and the church, after the death of his sister. He always loved the church and now tries to control everything in his life, himself. He shows the world how cocky, vain, selfish, and sinful he is. He actually loves his family fiercely, and will do whatever it takes to protect them. But then Zenny enters his life, asking for something so forbidden, he starts to question everything. Their relationship is surprisingly sweet, and very passionate and raw. The power exchange between them is poignant and beautiful. Sean is so complex, multifaceted, and intriguing. I really cared for him and loved watching his evolution. I also loved Zenny and how smart, caring and passionate she is. They balance each other and are perfect together.
Ms Simone expertly weaved a tale of love and loss, passion and heartache, and ultimately of hope and faith, so beautifully. It is so alluring, seductive, and raw that you will definitely feel every emotion. This story has a little of everything that will test you to your very core and keep you fully invested from start to finish.

"I received a complimentary copy of this book and have volunteered to leave a review."

Sinner is the first book I have read by Sierra Simone and I finally understood why readers are so fond of her work. What I found is that Sierra Simone is indescribable talented and has an extraordinary way of creativity; always delivering the best stories to date. Also that, she loves to interlace fiction with non-fiction. To reveal through her storylines the cold hard facts of reality. And she does a great job using a sinner's life this time.

Wild. Hedonistic. Heart wrenching. Cathartic. An imperfect man who calls himself a sinner yet he had always had the light inside him. I loved Sean and Zenny together. Like Yin and Yang, dark and light, Sean and Zenny are two very opposite characters that are interrelate one another. She challenge him to understand the meaning of faith and he teaches her the power of love. An immensely deep and life altering love. Moreover, I was hooked by the expanse of Sean's personal life. The author, here, deals with very important themes, loss, grief, guilt, anger, faith, approaching each one of them with delicacy and authenticity. For any sinful scene there is a turn in Sean's beliefs and that is priceless. This story is priceless! Never before I have seen myself so engrossed in a book. This is a first!

Wow. Sinner was hot, dirty, and swoon-worthy.

Sean Bell, oh my. He has a deliciously filthy mouth but such a sweet side as well. He's both gentle and rough and he took things painstakingly slow with Zenny. She was the virgin and he was the teacher after all.

Zenny is the best friend's little sister. She's forward but slightly shy. Not afraid to ask for what she wants. And she could care less about Sean's money or possessions. She's on a mission to help the world and has already decided to become a nun when the two meet in the beginning of the book.  She has a plan for her life but she's a virgin and wants to experience everything before she commits.

The emotional journey, ugh.  Sean's relationship with his mom. His deeper feelings. The ending at the church. And that epilogue. Ahhh, the feels!

A downfall for me was that I didn't really connect with Zenny or feel invested in their feelings for each other. I mean, sure, their interactions were hot! But for the most part it felt more physical than emotional.  It was a tortuous slow journey to get them to the main event. And although taboo, it didn't feel as sinful as Priest did.  So basically Sierra, you ruined me with Priest ?

It's still a great book nonetheless and if you're a fan of Sierra Simone's then you'll most likely love Sinner as well!
