Caden Cocker (Cocker Brothers - The Cocky Series Book 18)

Wow!  I am floored.  This book was amazing.  Faleena Hopkins is sure making it really hard to choose just one favorite.  

In this story Caden, Jason and Sarah's son, is working hard to become a surgeon at the Atlanta hospital to be close to family.  Because hey!  Family is everything to the Cocker family.    He works hard and puts in long hours to prove to his attending Elizabeth, that he has what it takes.  But his rival blocks him at every turn.  What will he do if he has to leave everyone he loves?

I have to say that this book made me cry.  Cry a lot.  Throughout most of the book I cried.  It was so sad at times.  This book just shows even more that the bond between family is everything that the Cocker family stands for.  Love, Loyalty and Protectiveness.  The family really does come together to be there for Caden.  

Caden is a great guy.  Much like his father Jason, Caden is cocky, fine and serious all rolled into one big package.  Hint on the BIG package.  ;)  Not only is this man a sex god, he is caring, kind and selfless.  I still can't decide if he is my favorite, but he is damn near close.  

Faleena Hopkins is an amazing romance author, actress and photographer.  She recently took over on taking the photos for her book covers and I got to say they are amazing.  She really gets to know the models and really involves them into her world of characters for the Cocker series.  Not only does her models get involved, her fans are too.  From helping with names and picking cover photos, to live video chats.  She is an amazing and wonderful person as well as great writer.  Her books flow smoothly, never feeling rushed.  Her characters are developed and her world continues to grow.  All giving her fans a book series that is highly addicting and anticipated.  If you have not read any of this series, then I suggest you start.  You will be hooked from the very first one.  You will become the part of the Cocker family and find yourself yelling "Language".

Why is this book so good? Why does this wonderfully talented author have to be such an addiction like that famous ginger ale and chili from Grandma Nance? These Cockers are my unicorn...you just can't tell me these magical creatures don't exist! Caden is no different and I truly enjoyed his story. I enjoyed the buildup, I enjoyed revisiting events from other books in the series. I love his empathy and drive and how he not only depends on himself, but, knows he must depend on others symbioticly to achieve his greatness and push others to attain it as well. I love the just desserts! (I must be hungry) I am going on and on because I am trying my best not to give spoilers! Bottom line: I wasn't disappointed, I am proud of Faleena and how she can keep the series going by intermingling the books, but, still focus on the main Cocker of that particular book, the realism is still awesome, the fantasy is still stellar, it was the perfect length for his story, Grams is still kickin' and LOVE WINS!

I just adore the way Faleena always pairs her male characters with incredibly strong women. Elizabeth and Caden push each other to greater heights. It is always great re-connecting with the older Cockers too, like seeing family you haven’t seen in a while!

Caden Cocker has always been competitive and that applies to work. He's fought hard to try and stay in Atlanta, but falling for his superior could complicate things. Elizabeth Myers likes to do what is right. Falling for a subordinate is wrongbbut feels so right. Obstacles will try to divide them. Can they over come all thrown at them? A great read and emotional rollercoaster.

Ms. Hopkins has another winner!!! Caden Cocker has it all...looks, intelligence and a heart of gold. All these attributes make him an amazing doctor!! Now he only has to win the heart of one very special woman...his boss, Elizabeth Meyers. Hospital drama, hidden agendas and misunderstandings abound in their rocky road to a forever future. Love and closeness of family is a Cocker trait and each member strives to find their one perfect match...their partner for life. Wonderfully written book with such real life characters and a faithful, lasting love most only dream about. I love this series but each book can also be read as a stand alone.

Another great installment to the Cocky Bros. Series. Caden is very motivated and career focused. His determination to out do Janet so he can stay with his family in Atlanta keeps him pushing his limits.

It just gets better. So many emotions. His one to me is the most emotional of the series. Caden is not as much of an Alpha as the others, but he is just as controlling. Elizabeth is Caden superior in the hospital but love always find a way in the most difficult places. Love the games, the banter, romance and hot steamy scences. Love the cousins but nothing compares to the original 6.

This is another beautiful story of one of the members of the Cocker family. I started reading and couldn’t put it down. I’ve read all of the books in this series and bought some of the memorabilia about the Cocky family. Highly recommended! Faleena is one of my favorite authors. Now I can’t wait for the next book of this series.

Cade fell hard for his attending resident Elizabeth. They both share a need to be in control but they both know when to relinquish that control. Loved the characters and story line. I would have loved getting Janet's reaction to being caught with the Chief and being fired.

Faleena has done it again! Other authors would start to get predictable this far into a series yet Faleena keeps every book fresh and exciting! Even though you know there will be a HEA sometimes I found myself questioning whether it would happen out not!

Oh Caden Cocker, you swoony man you. I adored the chemistry between him and Elizabeth. I LOVED the relationships between all of the Cockers, and I love how it's still heavily shown in each book. This book was filled with lots of hear, humor, some angst, and plenty of throwbacks to previous books in the series. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Every book in this series is great! A special love story, with characters that you grow closer to as the story goes forward. It makes you smile and believe in true love even if getting there isn't easy. A must read!

Faleena has done it again! Wrote an amazing story that you don't want to stop reading. There's a bit of a plot twist that shocked me so bad I woke my husband from my scream. (And I normally call whats going to happen in stories pretty easily). I love stepping into Faleena's Cocky world and I highly recommend becoming part of the obsession, you'll never look back.

Caden's story was beautiful and the love he had for his family was completely humbling.

What can I say. Another awesome fun filled loving Cocker story. I save my Cocker books for a day when I can just read. Don't want to put it down and many times I'll read it again. Caden, a sexy, smart, fun loving, one woman man. Must read!!

He had my heart when it was revealed that he became a Dr. after his Grandpa Michael's heart attack so that his Grandma Nance would have her doctor on the inside. From there he just kept getting better. He's the sexy, hard-working, ethical doctor that I wish we had more of. Dr. Elizabeth Myers is a force. She's two years older than Caden but years ahead since she graduated at sixteen. As Caden's supervisor, it's her job to keep him in line and to report on him to the chief. She's not supposed to fall for him. Throw in Caden's nemesis, Dr. Janet Gilroy who also reports to Dr. Myers and who will do ANYTHING to best Caden and it's a recipe for disaster. I'm not giving you any spoilers but just take my word that you don't want to miss this one. Just remember, Caden is mine. :-)

Seriously I am usually rushing to the next cocker book and forget to leave a review. I fell in love with Jet in cocky biker, and I absolutely love Caden. The story is warm, sweet, spicy and hungry. I have enjoyed every one of the cocker books I think only one out of 17 now didn't hold my total attention. That's ok cuz I got to meet Caren and Elizabeth. This book I read non-stop and enjoyed it all. Even the little twist. Faleena thanks for this series I like to escape my crappy life and this is how I choose to. I look forward to the movie you are working on.

Like all the family that has come before, Caden's book is sexy, funny and filled will just a dose of heart tugging drama. My tears for this though felt different because it wasn't so much from sadness from the storyline. Though it was sad. I realized my tears were more for the Cockers themselves and what they were feeling. I'm so invested and connected to this family after following and reading for so long. Faleena has done an amazing job of bringing this family to life on the page and more recently on social media. That is why this has continued to be one of my absolute favorite series and I look forward to more. Thank you for this amazing family and letting me feel like I'm really a part of it.

Faleena Hopkins continues to write the best family series I have ever read. Each book is like coming home. Each brother of the Cocker family and now their children, also known as the cousins, have their stories being told. Each of the brothers, sisters and cousins are so different, yet the love and respect of family keeps them coming home as they persue their dreams. Caden Cocker has no time for love, he is interning to be a heart surgeon, but love has a way to find you. Elizabeth Myers is the attending trauma surgeon, she isn't to sure of Caden Cocker, he is an excellent doctor but a bit to cocky (aren't they all). As they come together it seems outside forces are against them, but they are meant to be together and when a Cocker knows what they want, watch out.....Or maybe it is Elizabeth to watch out for. Again an amazing book that never fails to bring you in as part of the family.

There is something about an author who can continually expand her writings to encompass a multifaceted family while drawing her readers in to new stories and adventures. Faleena does just that! Cocky Heart Surgeon incorporates love and some sexy steam, and it was a great story and had me captivated from beginning to end. I’ve read all of the “Cocky” books and look forward to reading more!

Another hit for Faleena Hopkins, I loved Caden and Elizabeth! Elizabeth is Caden’s attending physician and she must decide between him and his rival about who gets to stay at the hospital in Atlanta. She must stay impartial, but how can she stay away from this magnetic pull she feels to Caden Cocker? Caden is so sweet and caring, I loved him with his family and his patients. Elizabeth is a another strong female lead, she has no problem being in charge, and she is a caring and dedicated doctor. I laughed out loud and cried at a certain point (no spoilers ?). This can be read as a stand-alone but the entire series in interconnected, I would recommend them all.

OMG!!! Faleena knows how to bring the heat to her characters. The Cocker family has become like a part of my family. With each new Cocker they just get better and better or maybe hotter and hotter. Caden quickly became one of my favorite guys. His huge heart & compassionate nature was such a turn on & the chemistry between him & Elizabeth was off the charts. I can’t wait to see who’s next in line to fall head over heels in love. If you’ve not read this series you are totally missing out. Faleena Hopkins is a fabulous writer with a wonderful & creative imagination.

Faleena Hopkins writes another amazing book. Cocky Heart Surgeon is book #18 in the Cocker Family series. If you haven't read the other books, I highly recommend starting with the first book and continuing to read the rest. This book flows, is well written and the characters are funny. I love, love this book.

I feel like I'm an honorary Cocker cousin reading through this entire series and being so emotionally immersed in the character's stories. This was yet another read I couldn't put down! Can't wait for the next book in the series!

LOVED it! No surprise really, this author does it to me every single time. She just has the right formula down for these books, the right about of steam, laughter, and sweetness to make you fall in love. This family is amazing, it both reminds me of my family (the good memories) and makes me jealous of them lol. Its safe to say I loved Caden and Elizabeth's story and can't wait to see what she comes out with next. Grams is always great but I gotta say she was exceptionally funny in this one as well. Keep lining them up and knocking them out of the park lady!

Faleena has done it again. Reading these Cocker books is like getting an update on your extended family. I feel like they are a part of my family. For almost 2 years I’ve been spending time with the Cocker family, and I just love it! Caden is awesome. I love how strong Elizabeth is, but at the same time I love how she gives in to her to Caden. This book is excellent and a must read in this amazing series!

First, I volunteered to read this book for an honest review. I was so excited when this book arrived, but I was a quarter way through another book and thought I should finish reading that first. I tried to wait, I really did, but a Cocker book by Faleena, I have no will power. This was so good! I could feel all the emotions, became invested in the drama, the heart ache, the humor, and the romance. (Sigh). Did I mention this was so good. If you haven’t read this series of stand-a-lone stories yet, I envy you for you have such a treat in store.

Elizabeth Myers is his female resident doctor that he is training under. Problem is that they are attracted to each other. Can she remain fair and impartial when it comes to Caden? Is Caden willing to break the rules and make Elizabeth his? Faleena develops these characters so well that you really feel the attraction, you feel the tension and the heartache. Awesome book!

I was hooked from the start. This installment of the series not only updates a few characters, ties a few more links in the upcoming books, but is an inspiring story all on it's own. The characters in this book are so relatable you feel like you are reading about your cousin. My favorite part of the entire series is the family bond, this book is no different. Family strong.

Caden the sexy surgeon has been busting his cocky self to be the strong loving surgeon in this wonderful family. He does have a bit of a rough patch. A little heart breaking at one point. As with all the Cockers he does find love along the way.
Faleena has once again written a page turner that we simple can't put done until the end.

You did it again Faleena. When you think that you can’t top the last book you do it every time. This book had it all I had every emotion. I was happy, pissed, cried everything. Loved this book and loved that everything worked out the way it should for Caden and Elizabeth. Keep on writing can’t wait to see who is next

Caden takes his role as a doctor seriously and wants to stay in Atlanta to be near his family. Elizabeth wants to promote the right person and can't help but be impressed by Caden's dedication and devotion to his patients. Their chemistry is hot and a relationship frowned upon.
