This book was wonderful I felt like it took forever to meet Jeremy in this series but wow was it worth the wait. I thought it was beautiful to watch Jeremy blossom from the secluded almost broken man into the hot, sexy, hilarious character that he was when he was learning to be himself again and the story that came out between him and his beautiful Meagan was heart crushing but it was a mayor part of the healing that helped him to become whole again. Freaking brilliant story. I have so much respect for this author that I will make it a personal mission to read everything she has written. I cannot give a better compliment than that and duh these books are highly recommended if you didn't catch on to that! Lol

This book is Cocky Soldier: Jeremy Cocker, of the Cocker Brothers of Atlanta series, written by Faleena Hopkins. I love each and every one of these tough alpha males with the soft centers. What lucky women that get to share their lives with this family. This book is about the last born son Jeremy. He is a marine that saw horrors aplenty and has become somewhat of a recluse due to that fact. What happens when some crazy woman almost runs over him and Asland out for their morning run? Lol! It's an amazing story! That's what!!

What a great book! The serious nature of Jeremy's PTSD was heart wrenching buy yet the author also included some levity. The way he and Meagan met was pretty funny and I found myself laughing out loud at her antics after waking up on his couch. I even liked his rescue dog and how it was able to sense when Jeremy was struggling. Their story was warm and funny and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the youngest of the Cocker brothers.

This Cocker brother series has been fantastic! I think this last one just might be my favorite. Loved the cocky and funny banter between Jeremy and Meagen. I do appreciate the little extra chapters after each book, if you join Ms. Faleena's website for this freebie. Looking forward to the novella on one of the brother's children and hoping for more.

Jeremy is the youngest of the Cocker brothers. After he came back from the Marines he was different. Now he spends his time running; form his past, from ghosts, and from the night terrors both bring. Then Meghan and her hot pink prius nearly run him and his dog over changing both their lives. What is about her that makes him keep coming back? Keep teasing her? Keep stepping out of the isolation he'd built?

For those not in the know, this books was originally called Cocky Soldier. Hopkins could have at least researched that marines (the hero of this story) are never referred to as soldiers. They ALWAYS refer to themselves as marines.

Now, amidst #cockygate scandal, Hopkins wanted people to change their book covers, but refused, at first, to change the title and cover of this one when it was brought to her attention that the use of soldier was wrong and inaccurate. Obviously, after all the bad press and when a certain photo circulated the web, she made the change.

As with all of her books, the characters act like immature preteens who need a dose of reality and need to grow up. Terrible writing with profanity in every sentence. The love scenes... well... calling them "meh" is a compliment.

Wow.

Just. Wow.

I've loved all the Cocker brothers stories but this one? I can't even begin to put into words how great this book is. We've heard bits and pieces about Jeremy in the other books, but he was a Marine. He was never really "there". And now we get all of him. It's like making a new friend, finding a new love, and never EVER wanting it to end.

Jeremy was in the Marines and he is tormented in a way only a former military man can be. PTSD, nightmares, grief, feelings of inadequacy, depression. And then he meets Meagan when she almost runs over him (and instead hits a tree head on). This isn't an instalove story. This isn't quick love either. This is two people with a mutual attraction who, over time, find one another and realize that their demons can be overcome with the other by their side.

And when they realize that they are more connected than they would have ever believed? They don't run from it. They embrace it so beautifully.

The other brothers weren't a major part of this story, but the parts they were in fit so well with their personalities and their lives.

I just love these brothers but Jeremy has now taken Jason's place as my favorite. I can't wait for the kids' stories now!

What a fab story to finish off the Cocker brothers series!

“I found someone who made me happy and woke me back up.”

Jeremy, the youngest brother, is back in Atlanta but keeping his distance from his family, as he deals with trauma from his Marine days. He’s pretty much existing day to day with Aslan, his faithful dog, by his side, and living in a shell of a house. Until one morning, a young woman wraps her car around a tree to avoid crashing into him and Aslan…and brings him back to life.

“Our hands are swinging as we walk and I have an insistent urge to hold his. There’s an electric current between our fingers like they shouldn’t be so separate.”

Meagan is an aspiring chef. She’s assistant/restaurant manager, rather than apprentice, and sometime lover to sought-after, temperamental chef and restaurant owner, Bryan Marchand. Jeremy crashes the restaurant’s opening night in search of Meagan, and ends up impressing some restaurant critics and the owner with his cocktail bartending skills, and ends up being hired.

“I wasn’t happy until I met you…I was lost.”

The initial attraction between them simmers as they try to stay in the friend zone, and also avoid detection by their boss for fear of losing their jobs. Meagan is desperate to progress to the kitchen, and Jeremy needs his job to help him get his life back on track. He hasn’t been happy in such a long time and he’s in his element behind the bar.

This was a great story. Meagan is a sassy, capable woman, who is being strung along by the egotistical Bryan. When Jeremy comes along, she starts to realise that she’s wasting her time and energy on Bryan. Jeremy has been greatly affected by his experiences in the Marines. However, underneath is the cocky, teasing man his worried family recognise. Their connection is tentative but electric, but they are later shocked to realise how close their connection actually is.

It was a humorous, sexy, and sometimes emotional read. Loved it!

I was given a copy by Faleena to voluntarily read and give my honest review. I think this was the perfect brother to end the Cocker series.

Jeremy is the youngest Cocker brother. He’s come home after years of being a Marine. He lives with his dog Aslan. As many men and woman who have served, Jeremy has nightmares. He needs to stay active to keep his memories at bay.

Meagan is a young chef. Her dream is to run her own kitchen. Her boss/lover won’t allow her in his kitchen. He’s opening a new restaurant and wants her to manage it.

One morning, Meagan is late for work; Jeremy is on a run with his dog. Their two worlds collide. From that minute he feels the need to protect her and help her. She feels the need to scream. He frustrates her. She makes him smile and laugh.

He has this urge to see her again. Her phone rings and he answers. When her boss asks who he is, he has a little fun with him.

From the moment Jeremy walks into the restaurant and sees her, he’s at peace. He can’t understand the need to be with her, to please her. The pull she has on him is amazing. And then, she starts to feel it too. She needs to be with him, all the time.

I was not expecting the twist regarding the photo he sees (no spoilers here). You’ll know the moment when you read it. My heart breaks for them, but at the same time I feel at peace.

Love the scene that plays out on Mother’s Day. I love the Cocker family. They are definitely not a bunch to mess with, including their mom.

Please get this book and enjoy. If you haven’t read the other Cocker brothers you are missing out on an amazing family. Thank you Faleena for an incredible series. I can’t wait for more.

The book might start annoying you within the first couple of pages. It might keep on doing so for the first few chapters. However, stick with it. It'll all be worth it, I promise.

It's a beautifully written story of growing love, of love for those we lost, and definitely of love unexpected. It's a story of empowerment. It's a story of taking life back from the demons our mind can create. It's a story of finding purpose, and a story of realizing that you have a certain purpose for a reason.

It's witty, well written, and surprising. Above all, it's REAL.It's sweet and yet steaming hot. It doesn't sugarcoat, it's not padded with fluff. I cannot recommend this book enough.

I was given this book as an ARC, yet I would gladly purchase in a heartbeat, and plan to do so.

by Faleena Hopkins

Jeremy is the youngest of six brothers & this is the last of the Cocker brothers find love..Jeremy has been having issues since returning from overseas, tormented by nightmares & just not feeling like himself. The whole Cocker family is worried about him

Meagan is mess, she recently graduated from culinary school she works for the most arrogant man that I've ever met in my life. For some reason she's also having some type of sexual relationship with this man God Knows Why in a mad rush due to the fact that she was late for work for this arrogant man she gets into a car accident wakes up in a stranger's house with a huge Rottweiler staying over her imagine her surprise… The story just gets more interesting after that. I believe Jeremy is one of the funniest of the cocker Brothers even with all his issues

Jeremy and Meagan are fun to read about. Jeremy needs to find a purpose in life, now that he is out of the marines. Meagan just wants to cook and be a chef and her boss keeps dangling hope in front of her, but won't let her cook.
Jeremy is having nightmares from his service days and Meagan keeps having reminders about her brother who killed himself. They both need something to make themselves smile. Maybe they can be that for each other.

The story opens with Meagan waking up on a stranger's couch and her trying to protect herself from someone who might have kidnapped her. Jeremy saved the crazy lady that almost hit him and his dog while they are out for a run. After the paramedics come and get her, he holds on to her phone and purse. Jokes and shenanigans ensure between the two. One thing leads to another and Jeremy ends up working with Meagan, where teasing leads to friendship and finally romance.

I really enjoyed this book and reading about the main characters. I loved how the story unfolded and how things end.

I highly recommend that you give this book and the rest of the series a try.

Excellently awesome contemporary seemingly bad boy, Cocker Brother romance. The main characters are fabulous and they alone draw the reader into the story. Jeremy is the youngest of the 5 Cocker Brother's who each found their niche. Jeremy wanted to find himself without the influence of his wealthy and powerful family. He joined the Marines, found his dedication, friends but also devastation. Meagan met Jeremy in a highly unusual way. At first she thought he was a kidnapper. They got to know one another. She was working for a well-known chef that she wanted to emulate. Unfortunate!y, he was a tyrant, her boss, occasional lover but she still wanted to work it out until she met Jeremy. Out of all the Cocker Brothers I think this was the most moving. There are unexpected twists and turns that keeps the reader glued to the book. I wish there were more Cocker Brothers for future books. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I very much look forward to reading future books by Ms. Hopkins.

This book was a little bit different from the previous five. Far less involvement with the rest of the family (not something I really liked) but much more introspective (something that was enjoyable to read.) The protagonists, Meaghan and Jeremy, are both holding in a lot of pain and frustration. They both have tragic loss in their lives and they are both trying to work their way out of their current situations. The progression of their journey makes for a great read. The story arc is well paced, the way the relationship gradually builds is well done. The climatic scene at the end is awesome! So much fun to read and I so wanted to be there in that restaurant in person!

I'm looking forward to the next generation of the Cocker family!

I have read and loved all of the Crocker brothers series! This book is written a little different than all the rest. I really liked how the book revolved mostly around Jeremy and Meagan. Jeremy is a very strong willed character with a past he feels like no-one in his family could understand. He doesn't know how to reconnect emotionally if not physically with his family. He is subconsciously pushing his family away. Meagan thanks she's got life figured out until she runs upon Jeremy. Then her lifes plan do not seem to be going accordingly. With some of her own emotional baggage she is just trying to keep her dreams afloat. They soon realize together they can help heal each other. I loved all the emotion and how bother characters used humor to connect with each other. I would recommend this book to anyone. This is my favourite of all the Crocker brothers. I received this book as an ARC. I would really like to say thank you for being allowed to read and review this wonderful book.

I have seriously loved every brothers story in this series. I keep thinking there's no way Faleena can top the last one, and each time she proves me wrong. If you haven't started this series, you should. They're all amazing, and all different. Each brother gets his own story, not a copy and paste with different names.
Jeremy is the last brother in the series (but not the last book!!). His story starts with his return to civilian life after the Marines. He is having trouble adjusting to "normal" life, and his family is worried about him. After a fated run in with Meagan, who nearly runs him down and then thinks he's a kidnapper, he begins to find a reason to start moving forward. The relationship that begins between them is a sort of teasing banter, but after a while becomes a friendship. They both are attracted to each other, but it's not an insta-love. They both have pasts that are hard to move on from, and they start to do that together.
There were definitely points in this story that were so poignant, they had me in tears. Faleena has a writing style that makes her characters seem so real. I absolutely recommend you read this story, it's so well written and touching.

This is a great addition to the Cocker Brothers series. It is not my favorite though and I mainly think that has to do with my lack of ability to connect to the heroine. I felt her to be too naive not only in her personal life, but her professional life as well.

Loved the banter between the main characters. I found myself laughing quite a few times.

Overall, an enjoyable read that is written well and I definitely would recommend. While technically a stand alone, I wouldn't start with this book.

I am addicted to the Cocker Family! The family lives in Georgia and that is the reason I was pulled in but the stories kept me coming back. Jeremy Cocker is the baby of the bunch and his desire to become his own man led him to the Marine Corps. Meagan Forrester had severe allergies which led her to become a chef. Two strong characters who meet by accident (literally) and through friendship fall in love. This is truly a love story that I can believe. Through their weakness they discover that together nothing can't be accomplished.

Happy Reading!

Holy Cow!!! What an amazing story!!! Ms. Hopkins has a gift of storytelling!! I believe Jeremy's story is my favorite! Loved the humor and banter between he and Meagan. I laughed and cried! Romance, sentimentality, frustration, sexiness, honor and humor...this story has it all in one great package!!! A fantastic read and a great ending to the Cocker brother's!

I voluntarily received an arc copy and this is my honest review x Omg I love this series and right from reading Jake's story I have been hooked if you haven't read these ones do you won't be disappointed, back to Jeremy we didn't really see much of him in the other books except a little in Cocky senator so I wasn't sure what to expect but wow he's now my fave and I'm going to have serious withdrawals from the cocker boys. Jeremy is strong funny sensitive with a great sense of humour and Megan had me in stitches . Megan with a description of her boss part time......lover calls him a God so loved when she asks Jeremy who are you ? Not a God that's who I am Jeremy answers , "who are you human ? She deadpan..... grab the snuggy, wine and a comfy chair lock the door and relax you will laugh, cry and on occasion shout out loud but you will love the next couple of hours so buckle up buttercup. And faleena please do a spin off with the Cocker cousins

Faleena once again has written a amazing story!!

Jeremy comes home from the Navy with a heavy heart. He's trying to find his way on how to become a civilian once again. One morning changes his life forever. Not only does he find love, he also finally finds peace in his heart and mind.
Definitely a page turner and will not disappoint. Read in a couple hours. Be prepared to have a few laughs and a few tears!!

I DONT WANT IT TO END!! lol Jeremy definately has a spunky, funny, and most importantly loving and protective quality . The latter is a huge plus. whom doesnt want a guy like that ? all the characters and their story lines roll together nicely and ps i totally wanted to punch Bryan! Meghan sure did tolerate a lot from him. as always Faleena was on spot, full of entertajning many reading hours and hot romance!

WOW! WOW! WOW! This book is so outstanding!! This is by far the best Cocker Brothers book and it is such an amazing end book for the series! I was caught in the book for page 1 and could not put it down till I was finished. This is a stand alone book, so you don't have to read the others before reading this one. Though I would recommend starting at the beginning with Jake's book, Cocky Roomie.
Jeremy is the youngest sexy Cocker brother, and because of traumatic things that have happened to him he is not his self anymore. Jeremy is lost and tormented by nightmares, until he meets the beautiful and feisty Meagan. Meagan is able to change everything and help heal him over time. There are parts of this book that are emotional, and I won't lie, there was a tear or two while reading. I would so recommend for everyone to read this book.

Cocky Soldier is the the final Cocker brother's story. Thankfully, there are going to be more books in this series. I know that books are planned for the brother's children. Hopefully, some of the Cocker cousins will get their stories told, too (please! please!)

Every one of the books in this series is a must read. Lots of laughter, interesting characters and super hot manly men!! I'm officially in love with all of the Cocker brothers.

I'm going to start re-reading the series. I loved them that much!

A bittersweet ending to the Cocker brothers series. This story was a doozy with the twists and so sweet at the same time. It was fun and easy going and felt like your almost every day love story that can happen to you. I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to read the next title from Faleena!

I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion of this title.

Such a deep story with deep seeded issues that affect everyone. The instant chemistry reminds you of a playground crush, where your bratty to the boy you really like. The bond between these two was emotional from the start. This isn't some one night stand that turned into more...

WOW!! Just WOW and tears because this is the last Cocker brother to find true love.
As you can expect from Faleena, this story certainly delivers in all aspects. The emotions that are involved in this book seriously bought tears to my eyes. I was completely blown away by this book.
I would highly recommend buying this novel and if you haven't read the other books in this series I would highly recommend doing so. It is a great series and you won't be disappointed.
