Please follow me on my blog :) Review originally posted on Vellum Voyages

Cute re-visit to the sa-khui planet and our favourite horned aliens :) . Stemming from a hot pool gathering, all the girls missed holidays and decided to start one of their own! "Not Poison Day" was hatched (wait till you get to the part of how the name came about! HAHA!) and both caves get together for the celebrations :) .

This is sorta like a "Not Poison Day" novella but with some focus on Claire and Ereven as the main couple duo. You get to read from many POVs which was nice but beware of whining Georgie! Holy crap she whinged a lot in this, it was quite irritating and really grated on my nerves >_<.

Claire had shacked up with Bek in the newer caves in a pseudo mating arrangement and now she is having second thoughts due to his controlling nature. They never resonated for each other and she wants to end things with him, but Bek is not the easiest person to break up with. When everyone gets together in the older caves to celebrate "Not Poison Day", Claire ends things with Bek and stays with the single women despite his protests. He doesn't give up easily on Claire and this is where Ereven steps in and "fakes" an interest in Claire with her blessing to make Bek back off.

Didn't relate much to Claire or Everen, maybe because their relationship was too short and there was so much other stuff happening? It felt bland in comparison to the other novels and Everen was very sweet but I didn't feel like I knew much about him. There was no background story to him, which was a shame as I might have been able to understand him more. Claire is one of the wimpier girls in the group, and I guess I probably want a bit more oomph from my heroines so that I can relate to them. She did grow as a character through this experience with Bek. I also liked the way Ruby Dixon, redeems Bek at the end and doesn't portray him as a bad guy, just misunderstood. Hopefully he also gets a happy ending!

Not one of my favorites but it was a fun, shorter read! You can skip it and not feel like you missed out too much. Guess that's the reason its a half book!

I thought this would be a boring introduction to a Christmas holiday for aliens by human women. Instead the author juxtapositioned everyone getting excited about the upcoming holiday with the story of Claire, a human woman, who is in an abusive relationship with the sa-khui, Bek. They aren't mates, but she is living with him and so scared and unhappy with Bek's abuse toward her. I'm glad the author shows another side of sa-khui and just doesn't stereotype them as all these hunky, wonderful men, but just like humans , have different personalities good and bad. Bek is the classic abuser where Claire can do no right, subjected to constant verbal abuse, isolated from her friends and treated like a possession instead of a living being. Claire is plotting how to get away from Bek and the story draws me into her predicament besides the entertainment of the sa-khui turning the holiday into a version of their own and the drama of another baby's birth.

"Ice Planet Holiday" was such a fun read! The girls bring Christmas to the Blue Aliens!! In this one we get two stories in one!! I was so freaking happy that we get to read from Georgie's POV again epically since she is pregnant! I have missed Georgie and Vektal so much!! We also get to meet Claire and we get to see her finally meet her mate! It was such a cute love story!! This holiday Novella was so perfect! We also get so to see a lot of little blue alien/ Human babies!!! I can’t stop smiling thinking about this one! Such a cute and fun read!

Ice Holiday was a nice addition to Ice planet. I like the family feel it gave and the baby births. It was interesting to see to if the baby would look more human or barbarian. Would they have tails or horns & what would their hair color be.
I hated that Claire was too scared to stand up to Bek. But their drama added the perfect conflict. One of my favorite kind. Bek needed to be put in his place I'm glad Ereven did. Couldn't have been me because with my personality, I would a gutted him like a fish in his sleep.
Claire & Ereven's courtship was cute. I just wish it could've been longer.
This story has also piqued my interest with what will happen in the next book with the beautiful black Tiffany. Can't wait to see what that's about.

I love, love, love the way that Claire and Ereven’s resonance happened! I’m also glad that Georgie and Vektal finally birthed their baby. Her pregnancy was 3 stories long, lol! With the sa-khui learning how to kiss and liking it so much, I wasn’t surprised that Vektal filled his cave with flowers for Georgie after she told him about mistletoe. These characters keep me laughing and the close bond they share, as well as wanting to be loved and start families, keeps me smiling!

Georgie manages to convine Vektal her mate and leader of the tribe to declare a holiday. They have everyone rounded up to come to the main cave for the holiday. Claire is really looking forward to it to try to get away from the overbearing Bek, she made a mistake by moving in with him because she was scared when they first arrived on the planet. She manages to get away from him with help from Ereven. She thinks Ereven is just pretending to court her to scare off Bek but then they resonate. The already pregnant mates start to have their babies and the new holiday is a success.

This is a no spoilers review.

This novella was great. All of the books in the series have been. Even though they are a bit short (the books & the novella), they don't really feel like it because they are successfully wrapped up by the end. Of course, they all leave you wanting more because the author's writing is so good and the world she's created is so compelling. Loved it :)

I read this using Kindle Unlimited.

RECOMMENDATION: For some really great Dragon shifter romance, you should read the "Emerging Queens" series by Jamie K. Schmidt. It is SO good that I gave all books a 5 just like this series (not usual for me).

Ruby Dixon has done amazing job continuing the storyline with a holiday twist. I absolutely love the series and I was so excited to read the new book. If you are looking for an alien romance with a sexy and satisfying alien with amazing alien anatomy, this is it. It is full of passion and drama. The story makes you want more so you can see what happens to the characters.

Holidays, babies, resonance, and humor, what more can a girl ask for? This was a really fun, totally upbeat entry in the series, something light and sweet with a celebratory flair. It so fun to see how the big, strong barbarians get totally freaked out over the births. I love finding out how each of the babies turn out--tail/no tail, hair color, number of digits--so cool. The humor was really in play over the holidays and the sa-khui introduction to sports. The scene was set for the next two romances and I'm looking forward to the next one, Tiffany's story.

I thought this was very sweet addition to the series. I very much like Claire's romance. I like how she stays herself and the hero is a wonderful beta hero who just wants her happiness.

The birth of Nora's babies was great and Georgie's. I do wish for Nora's story. I love that the holiday that was invinted bought Jewish traditions in as well.

The holiday stuff was fun as the soccer game. Fun holdiday read!

Great addition to a fantastic series! This was actually much more substantial than I expected. It reads as another novel as opposed to a holiday add-on, which was a nice surprise. Updates on familiar couples (Vektal and Georgie..) and a nice new romantic pairing too. And roasted seeds that taste like toffee! Definitely fun.

A brief but enjoyable read. I think the author should do some research on Internal Cephalic Version (a procedure that is fraught with hazards) before using it as part of the book. I did quite a bit of eye-rolling when I read that part.

Claire and Ereven - this is more of a general book, and it’s the first one without the hero’s POV. I think that affected my enjoyment of it overall. Claire’s kinda wimpy and Ereven seems nice. Got alot of POVs of the heroines like Georgie. It’s definitely the first to make this feel like an alien soap opera. Still fun, just not as much fun as earlier entries.

It was cute, reminded me of how excited people get during the actual holidays. Too hyper. No. Stop it. Ha ha. I think Ruby nailed it though. When you're somewhere that doesn't celebrate holidays, or any you're familiar with, nostalgia kicks in. This book was good for that.

Awe, so sweet and steamy! I really love the progression I get to read about from past couples as each new relationship blossoms in each new book. This one was exciting for many reasons but I won't be giving away spoilers.

We got sheorshie again! I really love any and all Georgie time honestly. Her and her mate remain my favorites! Claire was so interesting and I may or may not have chewed my nails to bits wondering what was gonna happen. Kept me on edge but had some comedic relief as well as a bit of drama. Love it.

Excellent little short read to hold me over until the next ice planet book comes out. Since I read this out of order, I Now understand why Beck is so grumpy toward most of the humans. It seems like in every book he's such a jerk. But I am very glad that Claire didn't end up with him. Looking forward to the next set of ice Planet barbarians books.

I would definitely recommend reading this book after reading at least one book before it from this series. This is one of the absolutely best alien/sci-fi romance series I have ever read and absolutely recommend you read them all! You won't be disappointed!

Great story tied to human holiday traditions and another resonance. I always think I've read the best book of the series and then the next one comes out and it's even better than the last. Ms Dixon is an awesome storyteller and her dialogue is side splitting hilarious at times.

This was a nice little interlude and a clever way to throw in a mating for Claire. I am very happy to see her away from Bek, although he behaved honorably in the end. I love how humor and fun are such a big part of this series and that it's not just straight erotica. I love this world.

Again, another great story!! All I can say is READ THIS SERIES IF YOU LIKE ALPHA ALIENS!! This current story won't mean much if you haven't read the other stories in the series. All the stories have conflict, fun, romance and sex! There's no spelling or grammar mistakes either. SO WORTH YOUR TIME!

This was another enjoyable addition to the series. It made for a short but satisfying read. I love that this series and this writer consistently offers her work as kindleunlimited. I will definitely check out the next book available.

I just loved this story. Great addition to your series. Unhappy for Claire and for Georgia and Vektal. I certainly hope you come out with not books. I am still strong in hoping Josie an Garden hook up. He needs her and she needs him. Seen that little move in this Book he did.. hint hint... Ruby you are an amazing story writer!

All of the females are homesick for Earth and some of their traditions.
So they suggest celebrating a holiday as a pickmeup.
They all agree on going for Christmas because of the temperature on Not Both
The sakui translate Christmas as a.k.a. No Poison Day.
We catch up with Georgie, Liz, Josie, Tiffany, and Claire, their mates, and would be suitors.
A great catch up novella!

Love the holiday and all the pregnancy and half-human half-alien babies. Plus, Claire finally gets her happily ever after, when she takes a risk, gives up security, and soon finds love. Happy ero sci-fi reading~*

Well, this was fun!

I loved this short interlude where we can see the tribe have fun, all while having a resonance thrown in.

Because what's a blue alien-smut book without the resonance?

Get your khui ready! You're in for a fun treat!
