I’ve read several books written by River Laurent; she has done an excellent job at writing another great book. She is one of my favorite authors; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the characters.

This book is absolutely amazing. Being dumped sucks, but being dumped for another woman because she is slimmer than you just takes the p**s. The sweetest revenge happens when you pick yourself back up and meet a man who loves everyone of your curves and proves it over and over again.
This book is so sweet you will love it.

I loved this story. Dawn is determined to change her life around when her cheating ex dumps her on the eve of New Years Eve. The nerve! She goes to the gym determined to get back in shape and meets Ace not knowing the impact he is going to have on her life. Needless to say these two create a burning fire right from the start but will Dawn's insecurities get in the way of seeing the beauty that Ace does and give up before they start?

I really enjoyed reading this book another great story by River Laurent, Getting dumped isn't suppose to be a happy moment. For Dawn, it's the best thing that could have ever happened to her being dumped on New Year Eve. Dawn goes about reinventing herself but Ace likes her just the way she is. Loved reading this book.

OMG This book was totally amazing, Dawn has just been dumped by her ex-boyfriend of 2 years. Not only did he dump her, but he tore down her confidence. This leads Dawn to meeting Ace who runs a gym and oh boy he more than likes Dawn just the way she is! The attraction between Dawn and Ace was immediate and their chemistry was off the charts hot. Simply could not put this book down. Highly recommend!

Dawn is dumped by her boyfriend who has been cheating on her. Her also tells her that he has dumped her because of her weight. Dawn decides to take charge of her own life, and she goes to the gym she had previously joined. She meets Ace who owns the gym. The attraction is there and they start a relationship.

I really liked the fantastic, well written storyline and the lovely, engaging characters. Their chemistry and interaction had me hooked from the first chapter. I couldn’t put it down. This is a Must Read, Romance that I loved reading

This is easily one of my favourite books from this authour, I love her writing style and her characters pull you into their story and the brilliantly written storyline keeps you turning page after page until the very last word!, I would definitely recommend this book.

I honestly think that Dawn needed to seriously work on her self-esteem.
Like, work on herself and not do things out of a sense of revenge on her horrible, cheating ex.
Take the time to process, instead of jumping in way too fast with another, way hotter guy.
Just my two cents.
Still, well written. And hot.

Sweet Revenge by River Laurent is a short sweet simplistic story of a Dawn and Ace a couple who are both surprisingly struck by cupid's arrow when they meet at his gym. This is a light, quick read. The author did try to address body image, self love and outside influences but the lessons seemed to be rushed.

I didn’t hate this book. It wasn’t exceptional, but it was good for what it was. It was short, insta-love, with no serious problem or excitement. It was fun and flirty. Definitely a little dirty.

The writing was good. I would’ve loved to see this become a more well developed story. I really enjoyed the snippets of personality we got from the characters.

When Dawn's boyfriend breaks up with her she decides to head to the gym after some Champaign. Going there she meets Ace who is hot and has a perfect body. One thing leads to another with them and she can't believe he is with her because she thinks she is fat but he just keeps showing her that he wants to be with her. Sometimes revenge is a good thing.

This book was ok. Nothing spectacular or interest grabbing. It was extremely predictable and bland. There was no conflict or climax. It was just a bunch of descriptive sex scenes. There were several confusing errors. Character names misplaced ect...
If you have absolutely nothing better to do, this will kill time. That’s about as good as it gets.

I received an arc, and am voluntarily leaving this review. I have to say that I loved this book for more than one reason. I've had personal experience being dumped because I was overweight. It's not fun at all. But I loved this story because who hasn't wanted to show their ex that they've done better. It's a really great story and I highly recommend it.

Dawn's boyfriend breaks up with her because she's a big girl and tells her he's found someone else. Ready for a change, Dawn goes to the gym and meets Ace. Everyone needs an Ace. Where her ex always shamed her, Ace lifts her up. She's able to feel better about herself. Loved the part where she runs into her ex later with Ace on her arm. Great story.

Sweet Revenge is Ace and Dawns story. Dawn goes through a terrible break up in which her boyfriend was cheating and told her the women he was having the affair with was prettier and 50 lighter than Dawn. She decides to show him and join a gym where she has a chance meeting with the wonderful Hot Ace. It was a great storyline and I would recommend it.

The characters were interesting but a little flat in my opinion. I liked Ace better than Dawn. It’s not that I didn’t like Dawn it just got real tiresome hearing her constantly put herself down no matter how many times Ace encouraged her. It was a good book but not as good as Cherry Popper. I love the authors style so I’ll keep reading her books.

Fast paced, great characters with depth and snarky humor. Everyone has a few people that have made them feel less than stellar in their lives...it's the people that raise you up that make the journey worthwhile. Ace is a raise em up kind of hero...very sexy. This is a really fun read.

I couldn't have written a better revenge story in my life. This was a great book. I highly recommend it. If you've ever been in a relationship where the other person always puts you down then this is the book for you. It was a truly great read!

The minute he set eyes on her, he saw a woman whose appearance and beauty were exactly what he desired. The two of them click and, after a hot and steamy night, Ace doesn't want to let her leave. She was already in his heart. Dawn is still skeptical. How can a man who is so fit and attractive want to have someone like her in his life, let alone be seen in public with her. Even if it takes forever, Ace is determined to prove to her that she is beautiful inside and out. Slowly, Dawn is loses the false beliefs caused by James' criticism and disgust. How do I explain Ace? From the very beginning he is a warm, honest, supportive man and loyal boyfriend. He stands up for her and protects her when she faces a cruel person from his past. Together, they can handle any challenges that may confront them. A chance meeting with James is more than amusing. The ending is perfect and warms your heart. Once again, River Laurent has written a magnificent story!

This was a good story with likeable characters.

Dawn and Ace are a perfect couple. Dawn discovers herself through her relationship with Ace and gets her revenge against James who never deserves her. A great short read filled with humor, steam and a perfect HEA. I received an advanced readers copy of this book and am gladly leaving this review.

When Dawn reaches her lowest point and goes to work on her self-esteem she finds Ace willing to give her all the esteem she can handle. Ace has a secret he is keeping and will do anything to keep Dawn and help her get the confidence she deserves.

I absolutely loved this book. The characters and the storyline were relatable. The prose was descriptive and I found myself sympathizing with Dawn as she goes through the motions of reclaiming her life. A very cute and fun read. Another great story from this author.

The story was interesting, I am not going to lie. Honestly, the book was very quick and unrealistic. I know that it's just a story but literally meeting a man hours you broke up with a boyfriend was cringy to me.
I had fun reading this book, I really did. It is a really quick read.

While I’m all in support of empowering women, I feel like Dawn needed to work on her self esteem a bit more. This is Dawn’s story. She is “curvy” and has been recently dumped by a sorry excuse of a boyfriend. While it’s great that it motivates her, I feel like the message, while overall positive, was a bit twisted. It was because of a db she changed her outlook on herself and her life and then because of another guy, though much better in comparison, she is empowered for sweet revenge. Does that mean she still cares for the ex? Unfortunately, this book did not sit well with me.
