I enjoyed reading this romance novel. Keith was an adorable child that was easily lovable. The relationship between Logan and Poppy was cut short when she was forced to move to New York, but little did they know that someone they both loved was forever plotting to keep them apart.

Can't wait to read the next book.

This is a sweet, but fairly predictable and simple romance. What I love most about reading is becoming emotionally invested in the characters and places. I just did not experience that with this book.

Would you give up your childhood sweetheart for your best friend? She did. Now he best friend was dead and Poppy came bak home to claim the only man she ever loved. However she wasn't welcomed back with open arms and found herself wondering about her decision. If you truly love someone, stumbling blocks only make your love grow fonder.Patience and determination make the acceptance only sweeter. Extremely good, clean reading.

Logan McKinnon and Poppy Ericksen had been in love but Logan married their friend, Kelly, who told him she was pregnant. Logan is a single parent when Poppy comes back into his life and a flood has devastated the area and his ranch. Wonderful read about a good Dad and his family who support each other through thick and thin.

For me, this was a heart wrenching story. The path to love isn't always an easy one. What happens when 2 people love the same man? It can lead to sadness, bitterness, loss of friendship or all of the above, can you forgive your best friend if she is the one who 'won' the guy?

Every lifetime has it's share of tragedy...This book certainly has this. Am I big enough to still love and forgive someone who has lied to me for years? I'm not so sure. I rarely have tears with the many books I read...This book was the exception. Read this story and you'll see what I'm saying here. Enjoy!

This was a quick Sunday afternoon read. it's not a full 5 star, but it's 4.5. Smart characters and a good plot. I enjoyed the read. I would read other books but this author, but I'm not ready to pay $2.99 per book for the rest of the series.

First book I have read by Lisa Mondello and absolutely loved it!!! I hate when people feel the need to give a book review and spoil the story for me, so I will just tell you the chemistry between Logan and Poppy was pure electricity! I couldn't put it down!

Started out as a classic girl seduces BFF boyfriend and does it show she gets caught causes BF to leave town til years down the road. Ended that way to but it was much better then most of the ones with this plot line that I read. A story of forgiveness, redemption, and being totally played.

I really enjoyed this story. Being a true friend takes a lot of give and take. It seemed that Poppy and Logan let Kelly manipulate them and cost them a lot of heartache. It is wonderful that true love does win out in the end. I look forward to reading more of Lisa Mondello's books.

Lisa Mondello is a great author. Loved this book. It was a bit predictable in the fact that you knew what you wanted to happen and it did. Still it was fun to read. Looking forward to the rest of the Dakota Hearts Books.

Overall a quick, fun read, but I could not believe how easily they forgave Kelly. She lied and cheated to steal her best friend's boyfriend, kept lying to her husband and her best friend for the next ten years to keep her best friend away from her hometown, but that's all forgiven, for she was not a bad person. So please, how do you define a bad person? She might not have deserved to get cancer, but she certainly did not deserve a HEA either.

I think I am being generous with giving this book two stars. I really wanted to like this book. The synopsis was what pulled me in. And Lisa Mondello could have done so much with a storyline like that. And I did want to like the characters. I think in someone else's hands, I would have. I feel bad for them because they just didn't get the chance to really let people see who they were. They were flat two dimensional caricatures of what they could have been. There was no depth, no feeling. I didn't believe, nor feel, anything they were going through or how they were feeling.
And everything was so repetitive. I don't know how many times I read about one thing or another. This book could have done with some serious editing, IMO. I don't even want to know about the supporting characters in the books to follow, although they seem like they would have good stories to tell.
I could go on, but I am not going to. Doesn't seem to be a reason to.
I am not usually so harsh in a review... but I just so much wanted to like this book, that I just feel so disappointed.

Nice story love lost love found, betrayal and forgiveness .The book hits about all feelings. Think it could have been a little more in-depth than it was but that may just be me. . All in all it is a good afternoon read.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Well someone said it was a clean book I would say it's not necessarily as clean as what I would say clean is. But it was a very well-done book and not raunchy. I love the story between these two and how it turned out . I can't wait to reconnect

A really sad great story. Tragically sad and disappointed story of a love triangle and unsaid feelings. A very heart warming of life coming together. A few editing errors here and there. Otherwise a great read.
