A Novel (Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro Series)

I love Stone Barrington, but Patrick is everything stone is and more. I haven't finished this book and I am already hooked. It is a great story wrapped up in some incredibly subtle humor. I was cracking up all the way to and from work. I am glad I bought all of the other unabridged Lehane books on tape.

Intriguing problems dissected and solved to satisfaction. I enjoy the thought processes which lead to conclusions and actions. A bit of a stretch at times, but entirely forgiveable. Another page turner.

I do enjoy this series. This the third or fourth one I have read and once again enjoyed it. Some of LeHane's novels are a little dark but they always leave you satisfied. I have recommended LeHane's books to several other friends.

Started reading the authors mentioned in books by other authors - Dennis Lehane was one mentioned a lot.
"Sacred" is the fourth book in this series and I think the best. I have held off reading the last one because I don't want to finish the series. Sigh. Of course he has many more "Mystic River" "Shutter Island" to name two

A really good read.

Lehane never disappoints me. The main characters are immediately engrossing. You really become involved in wanting to know the outcome. Lehane's sense of humour shines through intermittently. Highly recommended.

DENNIS LEHANE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS.HE DOESN'T DISAPPOINT WITH SACRED.PATRICK AND ANGELA HAVE GREAT CHEMISTRY. I HOPE HE WRITES A LOT MORE. WE ARE ALL LUCKY TO HAVE HIS EXCELLENT WRITING TO ENTERTAIN US.

This story was typical of Dennis Lehane's writing. The characters are believable, the locations equally so. I recommend Sacred wholeheartedly. It is a 5 star read. But.. I felt I had to downgrade it to 4 stars because of the dreadful spelling/typo errors in the Kindle eddition. It looks like somebody ran a spellcheck and just accepted the default spelling suggestions en-bloc without actually checking. This is just not good enough. The publisher is treating us as 2nd class readers. They would never allow a printed novel to go to print with so many blatant errors.
