A favorite of all youngsters especially among those that have participated in the R.E.A.D. program. While, the subject may be funny the inderling theme at the end is you keep your dog no matter what,!!

Bought this for my great-nephew's 5th birthday. I love the story, kids think it's funny and gross at the same time. The bonus is I get to enjoy the kids begging their parents to read and re-read this book.

This series is about the greatest children's book series EVER. Get it and have a lot of laughs with your kids. It'll help them to ENJOY reading. And if you think it's a bad subject - lighten up. It's funny and you fart too. :)

Gave this book along with Walter the Farting Dog to my 6 year old grandson, he loves everything about it. The story is cute and tells of an unwanted dog who finds love and a home. If you're not offended by farts, you should like this book. I gave it 4 stars because the story is just cute not spectacular.

Our daughter is not always thrilled for the young ones to recieve yet another Walter book, especially as our grandson, now 8, delights in the 'f(art)' word... But there is always a lesson in the Walter books and this one is no exception. We have an adult friend who keeps the books in her bathroom...... so Walter is enjoyed by young and not so.....

Love love love this book. Every child I read this book to gets the biggest kick out of it. We just giggle so much when we read it. Also if you can manage to squeak one out during the book it makes it so much better.

Warning: Not all parents will like this book. But kids (and those adults who are forever kids) will absolutely love it. The illustrations are magical and add so much to the story as well. I buy this book for all of my friends under 10. :)

We didnt enjoy this book past the title. We thought it would be funny but it really wasnt written in a funny way. My kids did not request it the next night which is unusual for a new book in our house. Sorry to say it was kind of a dud...

Great, funny, uproariously hilarious story! Loved it! But not for children. Could not stop laughing! Read it with a few friends during a glass of wine and we laughed until we cried (hmm, maybe that was the wine):)
