When potty training my daughter she picked up the pee pee part first but was having trouble going poop in the potty. She would wait until she had her pull up or just go in her pants. I was so frustrated because she had gone 1 or 2 times without issue and then a week without 1 poop in the potty. Out of desperation I ordered this book and also 'Everyone poops' but this was BY FAR her favorite (she wasn't even interested in the other book). She loves the flaps and at the end we clap and make a big deal out of the little boy that pooped in the potty. The very NEXT DAY she started pooping on the potty. So happy that I got this book!

Great book for potty problems! My sons both reach for this book. Helps explain things in kid friendly way. I wonder if the side story about the man who needed to take control of his messy house and be the boss of his mess was clear but they didn't complain and continue to ask for this book!

Great book to help show children that going #2 is a very natural thing and that every person and animal "does it." I used this book to help train my 3 year old grandson but the best and most helpful book that helped my grandson stop having poop accidents in his pants was the book "Super Pooper." We would read both books together while he had his "potty time."

Great book for potty training! Lots of fun with little doors that open to reveal where various animals poop. The last page shows an ordinary toilet bowl so that the child begins to get the idea. It's working well for my granddaughter!

Great concept but if your potty training tot is bright like mine they'll get bored with this book quickly. Looking for the poop from each animal is no challenge at all as it's in the same spot on every page.

My kids love this book. Although, they haven't yet been completely potty trained, but this book is helpful in giving them an idea of where the poop should go. I thought that they would be confused with the animals illustrations, but the little boy and girl examples in the end made it all worth it.

My grandson's absolute fav for potty-sitting times!
We read it .. and re-read it ... and read it again.... and yes ... (you-get-where-this-is-going...)
the illustrations are WONDERFUL, rich with details for a small child to explore with his eyes.
The peek-a-boo flaps where we "find" the poop is always a thrill . . .
Well done!

My 4-year-old son has considered his favorite book since we first read it to him years ago. He still loves to lift the flaps and have his mommy or daddy saw, "Ewwwwww!" We first bought it for potty-training, but, here we are, still being asked to read it nightly. I could almost read it without looking. Big, big hit with the little guy.

What a fantastic book! I love it! I was pleasantly surprised at the length of the book, it has a good variety of animals and nice detail, my son (he just turned 2) really gets into the book-
the book really is a favorite of ours and I hope is cementing potty training concepts as we begin our attempt-AGAIN.

My daughter loves the book. She immediately picked up the idea that everyone poops and that human poop should go into the toilet. She loves knocking on the door and finding a girl sitting on the potty.

hilarious book, you have to "help" the animal moms and dads find the poop from their babies. the end of the book has you finding a poop in the potty from a little one. don't know if this helped, but it didn't hurt at all, and we had a few laughs and giggles with the tigers, penguins and other animals. potty training is best when kept light and fun, and it's a graphic topic no matter what. what a fun book for my resistant 3 y/o!

oh, and penguin poop is pink. go figure! =)

I rarely write reviews and since this isn't going to be long and there are so many other positive review, it may even never be read by anyone. But I definitely wanted to say that after years of back and forth potty training issues we finally have gotten my 3 year old son trained because of this book. If you really put a spin on it and just keep saying things like "Do the animals go in the potty?" No. "Does the little boy go in the potty" Yes. "Do you go in the woods or on the ice or in the dirt"? No. "Should you go in the potty like the little boy" Yes. You should be all set as well. I received the book and immediately read it to him and never had an issue again. I will definitely pass this book on to the next person I hear having the same issue.

Cute book, lovely illustrations and lift-the-flap sections, which my toddler loves best. It's really surreal for an adult to to read it through, what with talking about pooping, encouraging your son to look under the flaps and then "great job!" he found the poop! LOL But it does depict natural settings, family closeness and does not go into anything more detailed than a simple pile of poop on the forest floor.

A nice addition to the potty training book collection. The illustrations are a big outdated for me but the message is good. I had a good giggle when I realized the flip-the-tabs were where the animals hid the poop. My son loves animals so they animals def caught his attention.

My twin daughters are having a hard time with potty training so I bought them this fun book so that hopefully they'd finally start pooping in the toilet. While they still haven't successfully pooped in the toilet, they do enjoy searching for the poop and now when they're trying to poop in the toilet they recite the line from the last page of the book "excuse me, i'm making a poop".

Knowing potty training was ahead, I purchased this to read to my granddaughter. My granddaughter loved it at 2 & 3 when we read a lot of books, liked it a lot at 4 when we were reading less, & still asks to hear it occasionally at 5 when we seldom make time for books. She loved lifting the flaps & she thought some of the words were humorous as well. The writer obviously understood what little kids would enjoy. If I'm allowed to say this, the subject is tastefully handled. I believe this book helped to psychologically prepare her to handle the difficult task of being potty trained after being trained to go in diapers for so long. We had two other potty training books, but this was her favorite as well as mine. She loved the last page so much that she would want to do that one over & over. I loved how much she laughed every time she lifted that last flap & heard me read what the little girl in the book says. The words don't strike me as very funny, though I try to make it sound funny. I think part of it is that my granddaughter loved that the little girl can tell a grown up very politely that she is being disturbed while doing something important. Also, children just love doors & the flap is the bathroom door. The 2nd best book was called Everyone Poops. It didn't make her laugh, but had other benefits. I'll try to review it on the store also.

I bought this to try and help my daughter understand that it's ok to poop on the potty (she's afraid too) She ripped out almost all the flip up's, so I need to re-glue them in. Otherwise the book is nice

Pretty cute book. I changed the words, "Make a poop," to "Take a poop." My daughter now wants to talk about poop all day, so I might have to warn her friends' parents and pre-school teachers...or buy them a copy.

This book looked a little dated to me, however this is by far one of my sons favorite potty books. He just loves to lift the flaps, and we have read this over and over. Great addition to any potty book library. There is a girl at the end, so it is not just a "boy" book.
