I LOVED this book! This had everything I could possibly want in a book - humor, an athlete, great romance, sexy times and really likeable characters. Ronan was hot. I loved his humor and his dirty mouth. He also had an incredibly sweet side to him. I loved Annie as well. I love a smart female heroine. This is probably one of my favorite author collaborations ever - this book was total perfection!

On a side note: I'd love it if Lucy would get her own book -I would really love to read her story.

Good but frustrating book. I never truly felt invested and kept getting thrown out of the story. A number of editing errors and some things that were lacking in basic research. Just annoying to me. Like they seemed to think that the University of Pennsylvania and Wharton School of Business are two different entities which they're not. Ugh. Will check out book 2 anyway hopefully I'll enjoy it more.

I really enjoyed this romance, especially since the heroine is quirky and introverted. Even though the strong male sportsman trope is used, Ronan is portrayed as sensitive and caring. There are many humorous moments and Joan reminds me of the Incredibles character Edna Mode ?

This book turned out to be somewhat different from what I thought. I wasn't sure expecting the super smexy sex scenes, but it definitely had a lot of that. In the beginning -maybe the first 20%- I felt something missing from the characters. I didn't feel any depth. As the book progressed that changed and I started to love the H&H. Annie is very funny. Loved her blog! Ronan was a sexy, protective, alpha male. Storyline was interesting enough. I enjoyed Ronan's Irish friends and good humored ribbing. . There was a lot of focus on the H&H relationship, which is an aspect I particularly like.

Cosway + Reid = Serendipity
These two authors were meant to write together. Together, they are greater than the sum of their parts.
I love LH Cosway's books (Hearts of Fire series) and very much enjoyed Penny Reid's chem and knitting series.

This book is incredible. The hero and heroine are incredibly unlikely and yet the perfect mesh to make each other whole ... hmm, kind of like our authors. :D

Also love how they knit (author joke, get it?) the perilous yarns of modern media and communication tech into a quirky, raw and beautiful garment.

Wow, what a ride! I loved seeing how Lucy evolved and how Ronan brought out the best in her, and nurtured her. I laughed really loud at a lot of points and not just about what was happening with the main storyline - the peripheral characters are also so finely drawn and have their funny moments - I particularly loved Joan. What a gal. Lucy and Ronan have their personal demons and while these move the story on they don't get too annoying or make you want to slap them. You know how sometimes a hero or heroine does something so completely stupid that you want to flounce on the whole book? Well, that doesn't happen here. Yes there's some drama and the protagonist makes some decisions coloured by emotional scars but I found I sympathised with her and it made the story more gritty, more real. The writers handled this plot device so well that it didn't feel like a plot device at all. I liked the POV changes, it was great to be in both if their heads. I just loved these guys. I hope we get to see more of these characters - maybe a book about Lucy and Tom? I'd take anything. You get the picture? Loved it! Do yourself a favour and read this book! Oh and it's, erm, hot. These puppies really know how to write a love scene. I'm talk in' H-O-T HOT. And so, so sweet your heart wants so burst with the hotness and the sweetness.

I liked this collaboration between Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway a lot. You could tell each had a distinctive style and voice that was used to good effect for Annie and Ronan, and yet it seemed to blend into one story really well. I'm a sucker for humor and snarky dialog, so I was really happy with the writing. Ronan and Annie definitely had chemistry and I enjoyed the story line up to a point. What takes this book down to 4 stars instead of 5 stars for me is the bondage sex situations. While I'm not a prude, and would never judge anyone for their preference, I just don't care to read about it.

A wonderful book! I love Penny Reid's writing but I was a little bit worried of the two author book, sometimes I think they're a little disjointed and not as well written. Not so this book, I loved it! Such a great story, can't wait to dig into the next book in the series. I know I love anything written by Penny Reid, now I have to look up LH Cosway's books too.

Funny, sexy, and such a great story! Loved the angsty hermit type meeting the outgoing moody type. Having such a dichotomy of characters falling in love was what kept me turning pages and wanting to see how it turned out. Definitely recommend this book!

I know sometimes the reviews are really flowery and over the top, but good means good! I liked how it made the discussion real when there was the whole secret blogging. A good read and I will look for more by this author - thanks for a good book! ?

Well, I admit I was just wrong about not learning the rules, leagues and the players (*wink*) that are this fascinating sport.
These and the 3 other books by these fantastic writers are my absolute favorite sports stories. Enjoy!

I've been sorely missing more stories, about Janie and Quinn in the Knitting In The City series and this fills that need. I love the neurotic introvert finding her worth theme; between finding love and realizing she has friends who love her, these books sing to my soul and the characters are all so loveable!

I get that Annie is more comfortable living like a hermit because I'm a bit of a recluse myself, but the extreme reactions she had to being in public and around people were just overdone, agoraphobic even. She compounded that with hypocrisy, which made me lose much of any sympathy I had for her. Ronan is much less of a problem character. Despite the kink and sexual aggression, I liked him. He's honest and real, if too handsome for real life.

I loved this book. At times hilarious, then emotional it unfolds in layers. Annie and Ronan don't give up heir secrets easily. But their instant attraction, his filthy flirting, and her dirty recriminations take your heartstrings from he word go.

I really enjoyed this book. There was the usual nasty ex-girlfriend, but when she tried her best to do her worst there was a cute little plot twist. The main characters did their own damage of course. There has to be some conflict before you can get to the HEA. But even the minor characters were well done and a few more surprises thrown in. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Then there's the fact that the heroine, whatever her name was, oh yeah, little orphan Annie.....literally in this case....I have to wonder, was that done on purpose? Anyway, this chick drove me nuts, so much so, that ANYONE falling in love with her would be a streeeeetch of the imagination, especially the hot-as-hell rugby player. I wanted this book over so badly, I quit reading about six pages from the ending......I didn't care anymore.

This was a fun, sweet steamy romance with two very likable MCs. Ronan was in all his alpha maleness very relatable and I like how he came across with his heart on his sleeve. You could say he possessed all the good parts of being alpha. Annie was a bit harder because she frustrated me. I really felt she made the wrong choice too many times. However, she struggled with it herself and that was redeeming to me. She never tried to justfy her actions but got as frustrated with herself as me. I liked this read. And it made me giddy and happy.

This book is funny, quirky, and well-developed. Ronan is awesome. I love his character so much! The story follows him and Annie as he helps her overcome her insecurities and blossom into the outgoing gal I knew she could be. Great read!

Wow. The Hooker and the Hermit is an extraordinary read. The story was not at all what I expected and even better than I could have imagined. It's delightful, intelligent and entertaining. The concept was unique and interesting. I fell in love with Annie and Ronan and cheered them on all along the way, even though it seemed as if they were they own worst enemies.

This standalone, complete with HEA, contains witty, sexy banter in both the "real" and virtual worlds. The writing is excellent, exactly what I have learned to expect from author L.H. Cosway and I suspect I can now expect the same from co-author Penny Reid. This is the first book I've read from Ms. Reid and I am sure it will not be the last. This is the second collaborative work I've read this year and second collaborative work this year I have added to my favorites shelf. I think what I'm saying is that I need more collaborative works! Bravo, ladies!

Pretty good book. I enjoyed the story. It's about a rugby player and a reputation fixer/secret blogger. Lots of fun, hijinks and sex. It was much better than I expected and will probably read the next in the series

I was so excited when this book finally came out. I'll admit, I was tricked in the beginning because I thought the story was going to be about Kurt. I thought "is HE the hooker and how is THAT going to work"?? The joke was on me. I got a little frustrated at times with Annie because she kept running away. I just wanted to slap her upside the head. Ronan was hunky and delicious and all things manly. Yum! I love the way Penny Reid thinks. It makes me want to be her best friend!

I loved the book and the characters!!! The only thing I did not appreciate was the two derogatory statements made toward rappers. I love Penny but these under hand comments made me question her a bit and rubbed me the wrong way especially as there were no mentioned persons of color in this book.

Loved it! Annie is the epitome of an introvert, Ronan in his own way is too...but together they have to bring out each other's insecurities, secrets, and heal old wounds without creating new ones!

Hot and sexy with all the feels and true laugh out loud moments make this book simply charming and lovely! I can't wait to read the next one!!

I purposely avoid books with Dom/Submissive/BDSM behavior. This is personal taste and I'm just a bit more sensitive. "THatH" had only light elements of those behaviors, but it made it a struggle for me to really embrace the romance 100%. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the story line. It would have been a 4.5 star read for me otherwise.

This Tory was fun, funny, witty, romantic and had just the right level of frustration to get to the HEA. I love Annie is just a little shy of crazy and quite damaged, while Ronan is strong and determined to always get what he wants.

Great writing team and great story.

I really enjoyed the banter and the light heartedness of the story. I had no idea about Rugby and after this book I am rethinking my view on it. A blogger who sets up this guy and she doesn't even know who he is. I thought that was funny because she is so not in the know about sports players and he thinks everyone knows who he is. Ronan seems so stuck on himself especially after the drama he is trying to get away from. I thought he would be more humble but he is far from that. Overall I think Annie was a perfect balance for him and I am glad I read this.

Holy hell in a hand basket! I just finished this book. My cheeks ache from smiling, my abs but from laughing, and for some strange reason I want an éclair and a cup of tea.

What a seamless and lovely hybrid novel. It is evident as a reader that these two authors had a blast writing this novel. And that joy is incredibly contagious. This story is a much needed breath of fresh air! ♡♡♡♡♡

So much fun! Ronan and Annie are the perfect match! Annie is witty and strong even though she doesn't realize it and Ronan is the perfect combo of alpha male and gentleman! Loved every second of this book!

Five stars for being witty, funny, sweet, and lovely. I easily fall for stories with funny and quirky heroines and that is Annie. And "lumbersexuals" such as Ronan..... Well sign. Me. Up. I felt they worked well together and their banter back and forth was funny, sweet, and hot all at once. So..... next question.... when do we get Lucy and Tom's story.....?? ( hint, hint, wink, wink)

I loved this book. I first read the sequel/spinoff around a year ago and how I missed this one, I am not sure. I read this book in about a day and a half and every time that I picked it up, I could not and did not want to put it down. I am looking forward to reading the third book!

Another entertaining outing by these authors. I liked the characters of Annie and Ronan and thought they had great chemistry together. Their interactions had me laughing and pulled on my heartstrings, sometimes at the same time. It was the perfect combination of funny and sweet. Ronan struck a nice balance between alpha male and sincere person. His understanding with Annie made me like him more and I liked the way they were together.

I read this book in less than a day and would definitely pick up the next book by these authors.

Loved this story! I've read nothing from Penny Reid that wasn't funny, heartwarming, and memorable...and this is no exception. L. H. Cosway is new to me, but apparently on the same vein...I can forsee another favorite author on the horizon.
