Well all though it was quickly delivered and the quarters fit perfectly. I was a little disappointed that there were no pictures of which quarters go where like in the 50 states version. Then the covering in the book itself is like someone had put it on lazily, it's not bad but there are creases in the books cover.

What started out as a grandchild project morphed into a grandpa project. These books are very well made. Unlike other collector books with just the date and a cut out for the coin, these books have a nice map of the United States and each coin in inserted in its state picture. The smaller states on the east coast have a line leading from the state to the coin. Not only are all 50 states represented, but also US territories like Guam, Puerto Rico and American Samoa. Unless you travel to those parts of the world, this book may be a challenge to complete. Finally, there is a separate section of the book for adding additional quarters of a different mint. It appears the Denver mint is the most popular and I have chosen to add the Denver coins to the main map while using the additional section for the Philadelphia mint. Overall, an excellent project for the kids or for yourself

Unlike the earlier edition, this one does not have the coin pictures in the slots. They simply say "national monument' or something like that. The 1999-2001 edition has an actual picture that matches the back of the coin which helps you to make sure you're in the right slot since some of the states are close together.

Quarters don't easily fit into the openings. DEFINITELY do not purchase this you're getting it for a child because they will be challenged to get the quarters into the openings. I returned this item and intend to purchase a different style.

Nice book. The quarters go in eadily and stay put. They can be removed easily also. My only complaint is the quarter slots don't identify any information from the quarter. It would have been a nice touch. However, the back flap does list the states and identifying information. It's still a good book gor the price! Happy with my purchase.

Oversized and sturdy! Perfect for the hands of a 9 year old! These books have been so much fun for me to do with my son. I like how it holds the coins for both mints and the illustrations are easy to read and colorful.
