I Wish You More
I Wish You More

Review:If you like books that grab at your heartstrings, then this one is for you. I initially bought one for my son, and then I bought one for my grandma (his great grandma). For my toddler son, it brings hope to his long life ahead. For my 93 year old grandma, it is my message to her that I wish she had 50 more years to live because she had such a beautiful life. She is the one person I look up to most, and it pains me to see her life slowly decline. This isn't meant to be a sad review, but more as a... Read more

I Wear My Tutu Everywhere! (All Aboard Books (Paperback))
I Wear My Tutu Everywhere! (All Aboard Books (Paperback))

Review:My niece is kind of obsessed with ballerinas at the moment and when I saw this book I couldn't pass it up. It is a cute story of a girl who gets a tutu and wants to wear it wherever she goes, even if it causes a little bit of inconvenience. When it gets ripped, she decides that maybe tutus are good to wear sometimes, but the rest of the time play clothes are a good idea and more comfortable. It's a cute tale of a little girl that is sure to resonate with the little girls in your life. Read more

The Snowy Day
The Snowy Day

Review:My children, now adults, enjoyed this book.
Now, my daughter lives where there is no snow so I bought this when she brought my almost-3 year old grandson to visit us in the north. He didn't connect too well with it but I believe it will come clear as he reflects on his time in the snow.
Big fan.
Simple delightful pictures, sweet story. Read more

Seven Wonders Book 3: The Tomb of Shadows
Seven Wonders Book 3: The Tomb of Shadows

Review:We have enjoyed this series except for this book. The kids go to the underworld which is creepy with skin and eyeballs falling off, and Beghad loses his soul, and all for nothing! They should have asked more questions before entering such a horrible place. I stopped reading it to my son because it was too creepy for bedtime, and then just read him the end. But the rest of the books are great! Read more

Seven Wonders Book 1: The Colossus Rises
Seven Wonders Book 1: The Colossus Rises

Review:Uninteresting tale for pre-teens. Boy is kidnapped, taken to mysterious island where he is told he has special powers and then joins 3 other kids in an adventure to recover old artifacts connected to the 7 Wonders. Unremarkable, poorly written novel. Read more

From Head to Toe Board Book
From Head to Toe Board Book

Review:I have a four year old son with speech delay. His speech teacher told us that they were working on labeling and identifying actions at school. Based on reviews, I thought this book would help him practice labeling and identifying actions at home.

As soon as I opened this book, I knew I made the right decision. He was very responsive and enjoying every single page. (Maybe the teacher is already using this book at the school. I should've asked..)

Overall, this is very good for connec... Read more

Where's Spot?
Where's Spot?

Review:This classic book is perfect for infants through preschool. From about six months old, babies enjoy the cause-and-effect experience of opening the flaps. The bold, simple pictures capture their attention. Toddlers love the repetition of the question and the feeling of success they get from discovering the answer. Preschoolers learn prepositions (in, under, etc.) and can add to the story by acting it out with you. They can also begin to read the simple words on each page, giving them a wonde... Read more
