Hot Stuff kicks off one of my favorite Carly Phillips series. This story has definitely stood up to the times, since it was released the first time in 2004. It introduces us to Annabelle, Sophie & Micki Jordan, who were orphaned at an early age and sent to live with their Uncle Yank, a sports-lawyer bachelor, and Lola, Yank’s Assistant and his conscious.

This is Annabelle’s story… Annabelle is the oldest of the Jordan sisters. She’s the one who felt that she needed to keep her sisters in line while growing up, so that Uncle Yank would keep them and not have them separated by the system. As adults, all 3 girls work with their Uncle as publicists in his firm, The Hot Zone.

Annabelle’s newest client, Brandon Vaughn, is an ex-football legend and a businessman, who is too sexy for his own good. Since Annabelle has been burned by a famous athlete once before, she’s going (to try) to keep her distance from Brandon and just do her job.

Brandon Vaughan is a returning client of Yank’s, who’s now ex-wife basically fired while Brandon was laid up in the hospital with a career-ending injury. Brandon needs Hot Zone’s help. He has returned to his hometown to open a lodge, which will also double as a camp in the summer to help kids with learning disabilities. Someone is out to sabotage the lodge. Brandon needs PR help and fast.

Annabelle relocates to Brandon’s hometown for the duration of this project and starts to see Brandon is much more than your typical jock. Since Annabelle’s firm is in NYC and Brandon’s lodge is in update NY, she knows there’s a time limit on their attraction. But their chemistry has other ideas.

Annabelle Jordan lost her parents at the age of twelve. Her and her sisters were left were their bachelor uncle who did his best. She loves her job within her uncle's sports agency where she and her sisters work side by side with their uncle.

For Annabelle, men only see the outside, so that is what she gives them. She is determined to not get her heart involved with a man again. Until she has to work with Brandon Vaughn. She had meet him a few years before and the attraction was instant and she knew she needed to be guarded so she didn't get her heart involved again.

Brandon Vaughn or "Vaughn" as everyone calls him is going back to Hank Jordan and he was going to be eating crow. When an knee injury ends his career, he lets his wife convince him that he needs to leave Hank's agency. A decision he regrets which is why back and he will do whatever it takes to save his current project and he needs Hank's agency to do it.

I loved this story. The instant chemistry between Vaughn and Annabelle is almost its own character in the story. I enjoy the banter between them and how they learn about each other while working together and both trying to ignore the chemistry they have with each other. The other elements of the story make the whole book a page turner. I am huge Carly Phillips fan and will always one click any of her books.

Annabelle and her sisters were orphaned when they were young and their Uncle Yank took them in. Annabelle, the oldest, grew up being afraid her family were going to be separated, so she did what she could to make her sisters behave. Her fear of abandonment continued into her adulthood, even after college, when she went to work for her Uncle's PR firm.

Brandon Vaughn is a football player on forced retirement because of a knee injury. All he wants is to give back to his community and help disadvantaged kids who might be slipping through the system. When his lodge keeps getting hit with setbacks, he has to scramble around trying to figure out who is behind the sabotage, so he goes to Yank to ask for some PR help. Yank sends Annabelle in.

Annabelle gets under Brandon's skin. Even her stray animals wiggle their ways into his heart. Can he convince Annabelle he's worth taking a chance on, or will their working relationship be the only thing between them? And what happens if Yank finds out about what's going on at Brandon's house?

This was my first series by Carly Phillips, and I fell in love with her writing. It's been a crazy ride since then, and I have loved re reading these books. Anyone who loves sports romances will like these. The characters are deep and believable. I highly recommend the whole series!

This is a Re-released series that has been updated to not show its age...It was the first series I read of this author and the reason I kept looking for her next books/series...it is light hearted and fast but then again is a romance novel. I am providing an honest review as I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Hot Stuff is the first book in the Hot Zone Series. Hot Zone Sports in a Sports Agency/PR Firm owned and created by Yank Morgan, the patriarch of this series. Yank Morgan becomes guardians of his 3-nieces and with Lola, his personal assistant, they raise Annabelle, Sophie, and Michelle. Now the girls are fully capable women that run the PR side of the business.

Hot Stuff tells the story between Annabelle and Brandon, an old/new client, a once famous football player. Brandon has moved on from football and is not building a brand new resort, but when the resort is sabotaged Annabelle is the person given the assignment to work her PR magic and find out what is going on. Brandon has been burned before and Annabelle is unaware of the external forces throwing them together...their chemistry will keep you rooting for them even if you wish you could tell Yank to back off!!!

Three sisters are orphaned when little and sent to live with their uncle Yank. Yank is single and owns Hot Zone, a sports agency. Annabelle is the oldest and always worried her and her sisters would be separated. She heads up the PR side of the business.

Brandon Vaughn is a former football player and now is trying to get his lodge built. In the winter it'll be a vacation place and summer it'll be a football camp for kids. But he's having problems. Someone is sabotaging the work. He needs Hot Zone to help get out good publicity for it.

Annabelle goes there to stay with Vaughn and start working. She is a woman who isn't afraid to go after what she wants, as long as her heart stays out of it. She figures a fling while she's there and then she can go back home and have him out of her system. The more she gets to know him, the harder she falls.

Excellent story. Sex. A little suspense. Funny. But I wanted to smack Annabelle! Vaughn didn't call her when she left but she never called him either and she makes him grovel in the end. Can't wait to read the next one!

Annabelle Jordan is the oldest of the three Jordan sisters. They were orphaned at a young age and went to live with their Uncle Yank. He's a sports agent and doesn't know much about dealing with girls. Luckily he has his assistant Lola to help him out. Annabelle was the most aware of what was going on and just how close the girls came to being split up. That's transferred over into her adult life and causes some issues. Brandon Vaughn is a recently retired football player looking to move forward with his life. That includes building a lodge in the town where he grew up, about an hour outside of NYC. Someone does not want him to complete the lodge and keeps sabotaging the construction. Annabelle decides she needs to go onsite with Vaughn to put the proper PR spin onto everything that's happening. They also try to help the local police figure out who's behind everything. They also decide to give in to their growing attraction along the way. I loved this book and the introduction to all of these characters.

Carly Phillips is one of my favorite authors and is a one-click buyer for me. Once you begin reading her books, I am POSITIVE she will be for you as well!

This is a 4-part series of books surrounding 3 sisters and their uncle. At a young age, the girls' parents die and their uncle, a confirmed bachelor, raises them. Book 1, Hot Stuff, is about Annabelle, the oldest of the 3 siblings. Annabelle is a tough nut girlie-girl who is a PR specialist in the company her siblings and uncle run together. Brandon used to be a client of Uncle Yank; however, when he was injured, his now ex-wife switches him to a different PR firm. Following a series of troubles at a lodge he is trying to establish near his home town, he decides to come back to Yank. Annabelle is assigned as his publicist, and the sparks are flying.

In this book, you will laugh. You will get mad. You will definitely think this is a hot, sexy read!

I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

First in the Hot Zone series, Hot Stuff, immediately drew me in. We meet orphaned Annabelle (the oldest), Sophie (the middle child), and Michelle (goes by Micki - the youngest) Jordan as they are coming into their Uncle Yank's life (who has been willed the children after the death of their parents). Immediately we realize there will be antics as this carefree, has nothing to tie him down, womanizer sports writer is now adding three young girls to his life to be responsible for! As the girls are now older, we find out they work PR for their uncle's company for major athletes. Hot Zone is Annabelle's book and she is in charge of helping football star Brandon Vaughan with the opening of his Lodge. We immediately see that keeping the relationship between the two just business will NEVER happen! Helping Brandon with personal problems as well as business issues brings these two closer, causing steam to rise! Great start to this series!!

Carly Phillips amazes me with her ability to interweave characters with her book series. This series is about a trio of sisters which are orphaned at an early age and now live with their not so politically correct uncle. She got me to care about all of them in such a short time.
This book centers on the oldest of the girls Annabelle. She remembers all too well the fear of being separated from her sisters and it is still very present in her every day adult life. She is always expecting people to leave.
Her hero is Brandon Vaughn. He is a retired football player who used to be represented by her uncle. He also has trust issues although not about people leaving. His issues are about people not accepting who he is.
The two have similar issues to deal with and they support each other and lift each other up. I love how this was done in a not so obvious way.
The heat between them is incredible and that bounces off the page. They deny how much it affects them and that makes it so much sweeter when they finally do admit their feelings for one another.
I'm so looking foward for the rest of the girls' stories.

Oh yes! I loved Hot Stuff by Carly Phillips!!!

Brandon acts like he is confident, but deep down he has his doubts. I really wanted to be Annie at times and comfort him. But he is also tough and mostly in control. So we can not underestimate him. He has a dream, but it is being threatened. Do we know who it is? I had my theories, but when it was revealed who was making the mess, I was a little appalled. That is what I loved about this story! It is unexpected. Once you think you have things figured out, you really don't. Carly keeps us on out toes!

Uncle Yank! He did good raising 3 girls on his own. He had help with his assistant Lola...but that is another story to tell. We only get a glimpse of it.

Annie, Uncle York's eldest niece, is the one who kept her sisters together. She controlled her feelings, except when it came to Brandon.

You have love, you have uncertainly, but Hot Stuff will start bringing a family back together. I can not wait for the next book!!! I did not put this book down once I started to read it! You will love this new family!!

I love Carly's Billionaire Bad Boy series so when the opportunity came to read this book from the Hot Zone series I was definitely onboard. I loved this book and the family bond that these characters had. The family bond that these women had with their uncle who took them in when they lost their parents. It was a great story of how successful these women are in a male dominated industry and the no nonsense attitude they dish out. Their uncle is a laugh with his frank but gruff demeanor and the girls give it back just as much. I love that Annabelle (Annie) found the love and trust she so desperately wanted in a good man who needed and wanted those same attributes. Brandon Vaughn had been to hell and back with his parents and ex-wife, now he needed Annabelle's help to spin good publicity on a bad situation with his lodge. Little did they know they would find the love they both needed in each other. Such a great story that I couldn't put it down that I finished it in a day. If you are looking for a fun, sexy love story this is your book!

Yank Morgan inherits his sister's 3 daughters when she and her husband pass away in a plane crash. He's just as lost as these 3 little girls. What's a middle aged bachelor to do?!?

Fast forward a few years and Yanks's nieces are all grown up and following in his footsteps as sports agents. Hot Zone represents all the young and of course Hot sports stars.

Annabelle Jordan draws the short straw & must represent former football player, Brandon Vaughn. He's in need of some good PR for his new venture in upstate New York. Seems as if someone might be trying to sabotage the building & opening of the lodge.

Instant attraction from both parties & soon Annabelle & Vaughn are heating up the pages.

Brandon's past with his parents and their lack of faith or interest in him has him treading lightly and not believing he's good enough for Annie! She in turn fears rejection stemming from loosing her parents at a young age.

Great book.... Definitely deserves the title: Hot Stuff.
Very much looking forward to the next book.

What a Crazy Fun and Beautiful Family with a very real and touching Opposites attract Romance twist. This story will take you through all the emotions as each person involved revel yet another facet of this journey. The secondary romance of a couple that once was and may have found a way to have a second chance at happy Every After is also very touching and interesting I look forward to seeing what happens next to them hopefully in the next adventure..

Annie is the oldest sister of three and is so strong, witty and flawed all that the same time. Her fear of losing those closet to her and the way she deals with this is endearing and sweet. Vaughn is the strong silent type with a hidden heart of gold that he sees a weakness and tries so desperately to hide everything that makes him unique and special. Loved the way these two just are amazing in their own rights but still make each other stronger and better at the same time. Looking forward to the next Hot Zone Story.

Hot Stuff is a reissued book that Carly Phillips wrote several years ago and has been updated to reflect the current time period. Brandon is a retired football player and Annabelle is a publicist in a highly successful firm her uncle owns. Brandon's parent's were not supportive and did not show him love. Annabelle's parents died when she was 12 and she has abandonment issues. This is a story about how two smart, strong people help each other over come their fears. This is also a very sexy story with two other side relationships going on.
I enjoyed this book very much. it had mystery and some suspense which I love in books. Overall this book had a lot of my favorite elements, mystery, suspense, undeniable chemistry, humor and intelligent characters.

Hot Stuff sets up the series perfectly! We get insight into each of the sister's characters, as well as their uncle. The story isn't exactly what I thought it would be, but it was very entertaining.

I was particularly impressed with the main characters and secondary characters, as referenced above. Vaughn and Annabelle were so great together. There was just the right amount of push and pull. I loved the fact that Annabelle was open and honest about what she wanted. She didn't play the typical coy woman. That was very refreshing.

Overall, the story is entertaining and engaging. It has a hint of intrigue and as super sexy. I'd recommend it to readers who enjoy great character and sweet romances.

Brandon Vaughn is a former Football star. Annabelle Jordan is a publicist at The Hot Zone with her Uncle and 2 sisters (They get the next books in the series). Brandon wants to open a winter retreat for adults/summer camp for kids and needs some help with publicity. He's had some issues with workers not showing up, fake rumors of termites, etc. Annabelle is the one chosen, by her sisters, to be Brandon's publicist.
They work together to get it off the ground, and start dating as well.
The epilogue is 6 months that the lodge has been opened. We also get to hear from Uncle Yank about him and Lola, who are in the next books. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Carly Phillips know how to write hot, sexy romance books and this will make you want to read more of her books! ! !

The book is about three orphaned sisters, Annabelle, Sophie and Micki, (each gets their own book) and how they were raised by their uncle who owns a PR firm called The Hot Zone.

Hot Stuff is about Annabelle Jordan (now grown and a Publicist at The Hot Zone) and Brandon Vaughn a former football player and businessman who turned on her uncle and left the firm. Now he wants the firm's help to open up a camp for kids but it seems there are roadblock around every corner.

Can Annabelle help Brandon but keep her emotions locked up or will she fall for the man and all he stand for????

This series follows the women of Hot Zone agency, which is a PR firm for all arhletes. The owner of the agency, Yank took in his 3 nieces when they were orphaned as children. Due to this the oldest Annabelle has never felt safe and secure. Enter Brandon Vaughn who had his own difficult childhood. Annie is representing Vaughn and the opening of his resort house that will help the kids of his hometown. During this time they grow close as they try to figure out who is sabatoging the construction on the lodge. This book shows two people who have difficulties trusting anyone finding love together. I received an arc of this book from author for voluntarily reviewing, and like always with Carly, I highly recommend this book!

Annabelle was such a real character. She had abandonment issue stemming from her parents dying when she was young. She was one of the lucky ones and her uncle Yank took in her and her sisters instead of allowing them to go to foster care. One overheard conversation between Yank and a social worker caused Annabelle to become the woman she is and someone who will do anything for love. Brandon Vaughan has some issues of his own. He had two parents who had strong expectations for who he should be and he disappointed them at every turn because he followed his dreams instead of theirs. What happens when two people with abandonment issue try to have a fling and start falling for each other? Read this book to find out.

This was a very enjoyable read. I enjoyed the chemistry between Vaughn and Annabelle. Both characters had insecurities that drove them to do what they did, wrong or right, and it was those insecurities and their ability to overcome them that made them a perfect match for each other. I liked the interaction with the other characters in the book, and I look forward to reading more about Annabelle's sisters and her uncle.

Though I rarely read anything in the 3rd person, and find it difficult at times to get into 3rd person POV books, the author does a great job of making the story flow. I loved the little who-done-it mystery in the story, and I liked the way that it was concluded.

Annabelle, the oldest of three sisters, lost their parents at a young age, their uncle Yank Morgan raised them with the help of his assistant Lola. Annabelle is a publicist for the “Hot Zone” and is attracted to her client and former football legend Brandon Vaughn. Annabelle is a lady in every sense of the word and she is just what Brandon wants for himself. He is through with the fast one night stands and ready to think about settling down. I liked the description of the characters up front. You knew who they were immediately, before too much story. Same with the background: you were given a brief past history, and it was enough to get a gist, but not droning on and wasting story space. What an amazing family dynamic. Who wouldn't want an Uncle Yank? I feel his crassness and open honesty made him more loveable and the sisters more down to earth and likeable. The story had the space it needed to introduce characters, build the story, and really make the relationship feel real. You understood what the characters saw in each other and how they fell in love. Guaranteed HEA. Loved this story.

Review for HOT STUFF
Annabelle Jordan, a publicist and partner in THE HOT ZONE Agency, has her work cut out for her when she has to help former football star Brandon Vaughn. The chemistry between the two is the major problem. It has been simmering for years and this working together could force it to boil over. But there is plenty of trouble ahead for them. They have to contend with his parents, a saboteur at the lodge he is building and the crisis going on in her own family. Not to mention they both need to figure out what they want out of their lives. Will this be happy ever after or will they lose each other along the way ??

Annie sometimes likes to change the subject, especially if she thinks she's in trouble:
“I woke up with a cat staring me in the face.” Vaughn pushed himself back against the pillows and folded his arms across his chest.
“You did, huh?” She lowered her gaze and her stare landed on his chest. “Uh, Vaughn? Are you naked beneath that sheet?”
Vaughn's thoughtfulness when it comes to tear is...well different, "...she wiped her damp eyes with the back of her hands. “Here, use this.” He handed her the corner of his comforter to use and she dabbed at the moisture." I loved this book, the characters were well developed.

I love sports romances and Hot Stuff knew where to draw the line. I felt for Annabelle and Vaughn and rooted for them the entire time. I also enjoyed the secondary characters - Nick and Mara, and definitely Yank and Lola. I would have appreciated more of Nick and Mara actually. I know that we'll see Yank and Lola throughout the other sisters' books, but I liked the heat brewing between Nick and Mara.

Phillips also put a bit of intrigue into this one...keeping us wondering who was sabotaging the lodge. But at the center is a story with a lot of heart.

Looking forward to seeing what the other sisters get into.

Annabelle (Annie) is a publicist for her Uncle Yank's company, The Hot Zone. Brandon is a retired professional football player who is trying to open a retreat that will have business meetings in the winter support children's camp for learning challenged kids in the summer. He is having issues with sabotage as he builds the facility. Annie comes to spin PR for Brandon and his partner, Nick, about the delayed opening. Annie and Brandon are strongly attracted to one another. They think they can have a brief affair with no strings attached. It turns out, from past burns in both of their lives, neither wants a relationship at this time. Feelings do get involved and they have a lot to work out above and beyond the mystery of who is sabotaging the grand opening.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Due to this the oldest Annabelle has never felt safe and secure. Enter Brandon Vaughn who had his own difficult childhood.

This story sets up the series very well and has humor, romance and just plain fun throughout. Looking forward to reading the other books in this series. "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book."
