The Boudreaux series is truly an amazing series about the love family and over coming life trials stronger and more dedicated than before. This book is magic, it has romance, sacrifice and heart. I love their family saying, in life you just need to adjust your sails. Can't wait to see what is next.

Easy Magic left me disappointed. I was looking forward to Beau's story, too. The book felt rushed, in all the worst ways. The relationship of Mal and Beau was barebones and not very compelling. The dark force was barely mentioned and vague, then was hurriedly solved and finished before it even really got started. So much potential, but it was squandered.
I'm hoping Ben and Van's story is better in the next book of this series.

Beau Boudreaux is the oldest sibling and co-CEO of Bayou Enterprises. He is serious, smart, hard working, responsible, and protective. He can seem stoic and even intimidating. And he really has not taken time away from his busy schedule for romantic pursuits.
Mallory Adams is his tenant below his company flat in the French Quarter. She runs an herbal oils and lotions shop. Some people think she is a bit odd or quirky. She also happens to have some unusual skills...as in psychic skills. She has not really embraced her full talents and tends to guard herself. Sometimes touch is overwhelming to her. She finds it refreshing that with Beau's touch she cannot feel his emotions--just a calm, grounding effect. And of course, some sizzling chemistry.
Beau pursues her, but she has concerns about her secrets that she has kept hidden to everyone but her best friend and pseudo-family. But if she wants a chance with Beau and to be part of his family, she will have to learn to trust and be honest about her abilities...and run the risk of rejection.
And some of the issues pertaining to her gifts can be a blessing while others could be a curse. There are some new things happening to her that cause anxiety and some drama. Sometimes her life is interrupted by dreams, nightmares, and psychic pull.
Can the analytical Beau be able to handle her differences and quirks? And what kind of danger might be lurking?
Most of the gang is present and accounted for: Eli, Kate, Declan, Callie, Charly, Simon, Van, Ben, Gaby, and Rhys. I love the dynamics of this ever growing group. Her best friend, Lena and Lena's Grandmother, Sophia add more to the paranormal element. Some other important people in their lives also make appearances.
This one was definitely different than the other books--it takes a step outside the box with the psychic elements. But I honestly didn't feel like it was too far fetched to keep me from enjoying it.
I really loved Beau and Mallory. I enjoyed getting both of their points of view They had great chemistry and rapport. Beau's stoic countenance gave him a reputation of being no fun, but he really had a good sense of humor. I loved how caring, generous, attentive, and protective he could be and seeing his happier, more easy-going side. Mallory was a good match for him to let is guard down and to bring out his more playful side. And he grounded and calmed her in a way that no one else could. It was unique, sexy, romantic, humorous, and magical.
I am still impatiently waiting for Ben and Van's story. They have been mooning over each other for so long!
