Another incredible addition to this series. Way to go Kylie-- you ROCK!

Amazing characters, riveting storyline. The witty and clever dialogue, the emotional banter back-and-forth between the characters was just phenomenal. I was drawn in and held captive til the end. I have truly fallen in love with this series and would be hard pressed if forced to name my favorite. Each couple has been funny, sincere, compassionate, and captured my heart. Although they have so much in common, they also differ in such ways that each book has been truly unique and not reiterated the same elements that could lead to boredom or predictability.
I am SO not the type of reader who when reviewing a book decides to tell you all of the details. I prefer to not give you spoilers and just tell you my honest opinion. You should enjoy each fantastic and delicious element on your own as they unfold. And TRUST ME , you will if you give this one the chance!

This third book of the author's Stage Dive Series is another win. As the troubled front man of the group, Jimmy is difficult, moody and cantankerous at times. Lena does an amazing job keeping up with his sometimes difficult to understand personality.
The banter between the two characters keeps the story entertaining. Jimmy's flashes of vulnerability just make the reader want to reach into the pages of the book and give the man a hug. Lena, handles him with a straight forward attitude that doesn't let him get away with acting like the king of the mountain. The characters nicely balance each other, both being strong yet able to communicate vulnerabilities without seeming to be weak.
If you loved the author's first two books in the series - Lick and Play, you will not be disappointed in this story.

I love the Stage Dive series and the characters' antics. After Play, I was a tad nervous. It was so good, I didn't know if it could be bested. The biting comments from Lena were awesome. I didn't think they lived up to Mal and Anne, but I giggled throughout the book. I love witty characters and verbal sparring, and Scott delivered it again in Lead. I really like seeing the interaction of the band members in the book, it's so fun and written so well, making Stage Dive my favorite band of the rock star series I've read. Jimmy was an interesting character, and a lot more complex than the first books hinted, which came as a welcome surprise. The only thing keeping me from giving the full 5 stars was the editorial errors. It surprised me as they increased in frequency toward the end, especially since I don't remember seeing that many in Lick or Play. Regardless, I'm looking forward to Deep and hoping that doesn't mean the series is over.

I wanted to read other reviews before I wrote mine because I was interested in what others had to say. For me, Jimmy and Lena are my favorite couple so far. Yes, it took Jimmy forever to realize what he had but that's what makes it an even more interesting read. He has gone through so much and therefore is very guarded and closed off. I can relate to that so it made sense to me that he did not recognize or admit to his feeling for so long. After Mal and Anne's story I did not believe the author could continue to make the Stage Dive novels any better but I am happy to say she certainly did for me. I am really looking forward to Ben's story but at the same time sad to know that it will be the last in the series.

One last note, I would give this book a 5 star but the grammatical error (missing words, etc) really bug me. For the enjoyment and flow of the read it would be nice if authors were more careful about this.

Lead ... wow! I absolutely loved Jimmy and Lena. As much as I never thought someone could dethrone Mal, I am perilously close to handing the crown over to Jimmy. No one can beat Mal in the humor department, but there is something to be said for the strong, flawed, and emotional Jimmy. I cannot say enough how much I loved Lena. Thank you, Kylie, for writing a heroine that so many of us can relate to (hatred of jogging, love of pie, strong in wit and character, curvy).

I love how Jimmy and Lena's relationship takes it's time, progresses in a way that you would expect from two people in their positions. As a reader, it allows you to become emotionally invested in them, loving them for their quirks and flaws and the possibilities that they fight against. If you didn't think it was possible for the Stage Dive books to get better, it happened! Looking forward to seeing what Ben has in store for us!

I really enjoyed Jimmy and Lena's story. Jimmy has so many issues, and he really is a supreme jerk. Yet, you can't help but love him. I loved the dynamic between these two. She could handle him in any situation. It was very entertaining and emotional too. Things grew slowly between them, which was great. I liked that they developed a friendship first. It was a constant up and down with Jimmy and Lena. They fight and make up all the time, which adds that rollercoaster of emotions to the story. I am really loving this series.

BEST book in the series (honestly, the others were just meh...). Shocking I know, considering the Jimmy we met in previous books. But, I LOVED this couple. I really liked that this one wasn't insta love within a week like Lick and Play. The characters knew each other and interacted for months before a relationship developed. The dialogue between these two was outstanding. I also liked that the female lead was in her mid twenties unlike the female leads in the rest of the series. My only complaint was the ending. It wasn't enough for me. I felt like the Jimmy we grew to know as an emotional wreck would have needed more than just two days away from Lena to realize he loved her. Also, Lena forgave Jimmy way too easily and there just wasn't enough emotional angst attached to their reconciliation. Oh, if I could just have the author re-write the ending of this book. Lena would have been in some kind of accident that landed her in the hospital during the time they were separated and we would have gotten to read about the emotional torture Jimmy goes through at the possibility of losing Lena forever. But other than that, this book is great!

I avoided buying this book, thinking I couldn't possibly find anything about cranky self-absorbed Jimmy to swoon over. Was I wrong (thankfully, didn't waste my time)! Lena personifies my ideal heroine, strong, witty, real. She is no whiny wilting flower immobilized by her impossible love, but instead accepts her feelings and moves forward despite the brick wall that is Jimmy's stunted emotion. I won't go into plot specifics, there are many reviews here that delve (and maybe quote) beyond enough. My reading joy was found in the wonderfully detailed story that unfolds slowly of Lena and Jimmy's friendship turned romance. Lena has a engaging hilarious voice rivaled only by my fav SD drummer. Jimmy, the ultimate Peter Pan, is a wonder to watch evolve into a wonderful, if a bit thorny and sharpish, adult. Kylie Scott has a lot to live up to for Ben; each Stage Dive story is successively better.

In the past few months, I've read some disappointing books by authors I usually love. I'm sad to say that I prepared myself for the same with this latest Stage Dive novel. How very, very wrong I was! This is, hands down, my favorite of a great series. Jimmy just stole my heart, the grumpy darling. The development of their relationship was spot on and very real. Their interactions were funny, touching, and absolutely perfect. Jimmy is a lost soul, and he knows it. Lena manages to be assertive without being bitchy. Together, they fill up all the holes inside of each others' souls. The humor is there, but the author doesn't try too hard and none of it feels forced. This is one I know I'll read over and over again. I both wanted to get to the end and dreaded it, because I didn't want it to be over. I can't give it much more of a recommendation than that!

I absolutely love the Stage Dive series! I think Jimmy & Lena's story is my favorite, though I adored Mal & Ann's as well. I think the only disappointment for me in this particular book, is when Lena slapped Jimmy, I thought that was a low blow considering his history, but I love how he just told her not to do that again and kept going. I read another readers review stating that she didn't like Jimmy's character, and this book didn't change her opinion of him. I must say that my view is totally opposite, and that I really enjoyed watching Jimmy's transformation, especially the first kiss, and thought Lena's spunky personality was just awesome. I hate to see the series end with the next book, I think seeing how the band would do with little munchkin stage divers running around (especially Mal given his attitude with Killer) would be hilarious.

For the last couple weeks, I have been reading reviews from everyone who was lucky enough to get an arc of this one. I was so excited to read this that I took a nap so I could stay up reading when this showed up on my kindle at midnight. I have loved this series and could not wait to get to Jimmy's story. I LOVED this book! I LOVE Jimmy! I love Jimmy and Lena's relationship and how honest they are with each other. Lena is fantastic - strong, funny, snarky, honest and loyal. This series just keeps getting better and better. The only thing that could've made this book better is if there were a couple chapters told in Jimmy's POV. I highly recommend this book and this series! Can't wait for Ben's book next!

Jimmy is 'moody rock God' yum.... Lena is so cute and sassy and devoted. Their romance is sweet sexy and at times, heartbreaking. Would have liked a little more of Jimmy 's pov, especially when Lena left. Also, in 1 day's time could have sooooooo done without Jimmy flying to L.A. and taking liv out. Really???? More mal was great!!! Love mal...hilarious sweet hot guy. So ready for Ben's story. Wish it wasn't almost a year between stories. Had to reread the first 3 while waiting and hated finishing each one. Some of the most enjoyable books I've read and I've read alot. Gave it 4stars instead of five because we didnt get enough feeling from jimmys pic and that made his trip to L.A. unacceptable. But overall, awesome. Gave lick 5stars because mal is such an adorable character.

I loved the in your face candid banter between Lena and Jimmy. the wild and crazy thoughts of Mal continue throughout. there is no filter when these guys talk and that's just hilarious. it takes a special woman to stay with them.
Dave and Ev are still the quiet ones in the background while Mal pulls Anne right along with his mouth.
Lena's sister is scrum in my book since she is marrying her ex and whom put Lena down on occasion. where's family loyalty?
mal's mother's funeral broke my heart. since she pretty much adopted Jimmy and David it was very difficult for them also. their mother is a piece of carp and doesn't deserve a penny of their success but she tries to get money any way she can.....even at the cost of her own kids.
rockers have a special place in my heart......I look forward to more.

I rarely review books, only when they are exceptional or terrible...but this has to be said - WELL DONE Kylie Scott. Like most reviews here, I have read the other two books first in this series, and refreshingly, each book gets better. More complex. She is able to bring to the surface all of your emotions as you lose yourself in this rock and roll world she's created. I was never bored, never tempted to skip a word or page, and she always kept my mind engaged. I am not at all certain the less than 4 star reviewers have read this book or even like books about rock stars?? This is a FANTASTIC book, a BEAUTIFUL story and a truly great author.

Jimmy and Lena are complicated. She is responsible to keep Jim in line and sober, a job she takes seriously and does well. Jim is sarcastic, mean, and grumpy...but he has a good soul under there that shines out from time to time. Lena is strong and Jim needs her, though he'd never admit it. I love the conflict in this story. Its messy and hard and they don't fall into bed or love on page 5 like so many authors' stories these days. Give this one a try, and I highly recommend starting with Lick first because you will have so much more information for this one and Play.

This series. It just gets better and better. First David stole me heart. Then Mal filled my soul with light and happiness. Now Jimmy, he has completely shattered it all and stolen both, heart and soul. What the heck is Ben going to do to me?

Jimmy is the quintessential bad boy rocker, recovering addict. Brooding, moody, and gruff. Never letting anyone in. Then in comes Lena with all her witty banter and killer curves, bringing Jimmy to his knees. Although it took him time to admit. Reading about their relationship blossoming into undying love was both heart breaking and heart warming. With all of Jimmy's issues, you couldn't help but love him and want to help him heal.

Pick up this book and fall head over heels for yet another bad boy rocker of Stage Dive!

I have become more than a little emotionally invested in these characters. Jimmy is the hard man of the Stage Dive, a front man with model good looks and a history of self destruction. Lena has been employed to be his sobriety buddy and has her work cut out for her. However, she is sassy and determined, just a perfect match for his closed and brutal sarcasm. This story could have had a lot of predictable moments in it but because Kylie writes with such pithy dialogue and humour, there is nothing run of the mill about this story. Watching Lena teach Jimmy a few lessons on how to be a better human being is priceless.

Kylie Scott did it again!!! This was a great story about the lead singer of Stage Dive, Jimmy. He wasn't very likable in the first 2 books at all. He was rude, obnoxious, and in general I thought pretty unlikable. However, in this book she pretty much changed my opinion of him completely. She was able to make him likable and she was able to explain why he was the way that he was so that you could sympathize with him as a person. Lena was his equal and I loved the way she was written. She matched him blow for blow pretty much the entire book. She seemed to be the only one that didn't shy away or back down from him and it was great to see a "plus sized" character being written in such a way. I LOVED this book! I can't wait for the next one :)

This was good. Jimmy was a complex character. A dried out addict, a scarred soul from a damaging childhood and horrid mother. A man whom thought himself incapable of love, whom really didn't know what it looked like, or felt like. Lena shows up and gives constants behavior therapy and happens to fall in love. She shows him little by little what it is like to really care about someone other thAn yourself. This is really good. Addicts and damaged souls alike have to learn how to be human again. This is almost a commuting of age book. Jimmy is learning acceptable behaviors and how to express himself and that it's ok to love. That other people can love him. This was well done. I am looking forward to Ben's book next.

This book quickly became my favorite book of the series....an believe me that's sayin a lot bc I absolutely loved mal and Anne and Dave and the child bride ev lol
This book was Jimmy and Lena after reading the urge novels I knew enough about Jimmy to expect certain things from this book but as I began reading this story it surprised me in the best way possible and I love Kylie Scott for that SPOILER ish.....

He wasn't a big drunk the whole story or a high mess of druggie life that I expected!! He was so strong trying so hard and trying to cope with his demons sober with the help of Lena I don't wish to give anything else away so I will just end with how much I loved this story can't wait for Ben's!!!!!!

Just like all KS Stage Dive series, the story draws you in from the beginning due to the H's chemistry. Unlike a lot of romance novels, this one was completely realistic while being hilariously heartwarming as the plot progressed with Jimmy trying to get Lena to get over her feelings for him. Jimmy attempts this with a magazine article he finds in Lena's room about " 4 ways to get over him " . Obviously his attempts have a reverse effect that ultimately just draws them closer together. Their love story is just so dang adorable! I highly recommend this book if your in the mood for a feel good read that is hard to put down. Happy reading.

I love the Stage Dive series. They are the series that have amused me the most, especially Mal. You never know what's going to come out of his mouth.

Both characters have extremely strong personalities and traits, which I loved. Jimmy always seemed to be struggling with something, and to see him slowing open up, was really good. I liked how honest Lena was. I would have never had the guts she did to admit her feels like that. I was surprised that Jimmy kept her around and tried to get her to keep the relationship as professional. The struggles and situations they weren't through built up the story. I really enjoyed this.

This series is spectacular! Kylie has such a gift for writing characters who are so real you are not reading a book, you are living another life as her leading lady. In this novel of the Stage Dive series I got to be the curvy, smart, and smart mouth Lena. I got to "babysit" the lead singer of Stage Dive and fall in love with after many trails and errors. But will my love Jimmy stop being the typical arrogant rock star jerk and love me back? Well buy the flipping book and find out! You will you love this book even if you haven't read the others in the series, but I am not going to lie...buy the others and be all of Kylie's Stage Dive leading ladies. You will not regret it!

Unfortunately this book was very disappointing! I was really looking forward to Jimmy's story, but this really was mostly about Lena! The entire book was from her POV. We know Jimmy has a LOT going on in his brain, but we did not get a single one of those thoughts...that was the most disappointing thing. There were also a number of grammatical errors, and although it started off good, the story did not get rolling until about 70% through. If you were hoping for a story about Jimmy, the Lead of Stage Dive, this will certainly fall short for you, as it did for me! If you are looking for a story about the woman who literally drools over Jimmy, then this is it.

Great read and worth the time. Held my interest from start to finish. Great story line, interesting characters, you could feel the love and experience the heat. I wanted more when the book was finished. Sexy and entertaining; I truly enjoyed the book very much. I look forward to reading this author’s other books. Hot and steamy sex scenes, loved the main characters and their relationship, entertaining and the chemistry is on fire! I loved them together both romantically and for the emotional bond that they both shared. Great character development along with story and it all wrapped up well.

Kylie Scott has done it again. Among a plethora of so-so to downright bad books out there, Kylie Scott's Stage Dive novels are fantastically enjoyable, well-written page turners. My only complaint is that there is too much time between books. I'm definitely going to re-read the first two now to catch up. And Ben's story isn't due out till next year. Sigh. But she never disappoints, so it's already been pre-ordered.

Thank you, Ms. Scott, for being that increasingly rare breed of author who is worthy of my buying your books, just because your name is on the cover. Keep writing so I can keep reading!

After reading the first 2 in the series I thought that there was no way possible that I could like anything about Jimmy.....WRONG!!!! Lena was a perfect fit for Jimmy. The way she protects him and shows him how to love through her actions melted my heart. Kylie, as usual, had me laughing and crying throughout this story. The dirty talk and chemistry between Lena and Jimmy is perfect! I would recommend reading the Stage Dive novels in order as the other characters are a big part of the story. It will also help the reader understand how Jimmy has come full circle.

So bummed I have to wait until January to read Ben's story but without a doubt all good things come to those who wait!

This is one of my favorite books ever. Hilarious, moving, sweet - I adored the two main characters and loved getting to visit with the characters from the previous two books. Other reviewers did a great job describing the plot and what makes the novel and series so outstanding. I just can't abide seeing reviews other than five stars; I don't see any basis for the critical reviews at all. Absolutely top-notch - this is not a book to get from the library. You need to own it to be able to read it again and again.

I thought Mal was my favorite. But, man, Jimmy might have just taken his spot! I felt his struggle with his addiction, with his expression of thoughts and feelings. And could their be anyone more perfect for him than Lena? Doubt it! An was amazing, and totally owned who she was. Side note, I've hear there was discussion that people had issues with how Lena'sSize was handled, and I say ridiculous! I hate that authors feel they have to justify their writing choices. Jimmy didn't degrade Lena at all, what nonsense. I love this series, and am going to preorder Ben's story!!!

Jimmy and Lena's story was exquisite! It was really good to see since in Lick I pretty much detested Jimmy the jerk. And although in Play he was more human and reserved, it's not until we read his story that we get the full gist of him. He's complicated beyond words and he's kind of an ass, but we get why he turned out to be an ass *Thank you so much mommy dearest*. I gotta say that I almost don't want to read Ben's story because then the series' finished and I'm enamored with my Stage Dive guys.

Wow! James takes the Moody, sexy, non-talkitive, hot headed, alpha to a whole new level. Lena is without a doubt an amazing woman. What she puts up with and accomplishes is nothing short of amazing. I love their story of friendship and love. How the author handled his recovery was perfect. Great story, look forward to reading more by Kylie Scott

I always knew there was more about Jimmy than his shallow portrayal. Bless his big heart he was hurt so bad by his mother, the bitch?! Lena was perfect for him. Taught him how to love and be loved. The only criticism, it took 70% of the book for them to get together and little time spent on them after they fell in love and I wanted to see Alyce seething with jealously. I love vengeance and just rewards. I love this series and you should read it if you love rock star romances that aren't fluffy but not dark.

David and Ev’s story is still the best. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed quite a few typos and grammar errors in this book. The series has gone slightly downhill. It was a cute story of a women falling for and fixing a broken man, but so many things could have been better about it.

This book was heart tugging emotionally amazingly good :-). In fact, I think this book was better written and had much more depth to it than the first two books in this series. I enjoyed the first two books and thought they were entertaining. The characters were better written and plot was a little more complex and profound than the first two books. Usually in series like these the 1st book sets the tone and pace of the series. Not so in this series. All this to say that this is a MUST read if you have read the first two books in this series.

I was hesitant about reading these due to some less than stellar reviews, but I am totally loving this series! Admittedly, I started with book 2 (Play) and so enjoyed Mal and Anne's story, I had to check out the next book...and it didn't disappoint! Jimmy and Alena's story was awesome...yes they bickered and fought, but that just allowed the passion to simmer until it combusted! I really enjoyed this and highly recommend it!

Lead singer Jimmy has an addiction issue and has to have a sober companion to help keep him in line. Lena is a struggling assistant with a mouth on her that doesn't quit. When she gets fired and Mal asks her to step up to the task of babysitting Jimmy she accepts the offer. The problem is, is eventually you get to comfortable with people lines get blurred and it becomes easy to cross them. When Lena allows her heart to over rule her mind she finds that it's easier to walk away than deal with the fact that Jimmy doesn't share her feelings.

Love, love, LOVE! Jimmy gave me all sorts of warm and fuzzy feels while pissing me the F off and man, does he do that A LOT.

Lena had her work cut out for her, but she could handle him. I kinda wanted to handle him myself *teehee*

Kylie Scott did a great job building up some delicious tension between Jimmy and Lena (and us! I feel your pain here, readers) but I loved it because once we finally explored that chemistry between the two - HOT DAAAMMMN was it worth it.

Another great read in the Stage Dive series!!

I love Jimmy! I really enjoyed reading the first two series. David is really likable and Mal is so funny and crazy that I thought that he would definitely be my favorite character. I really wasn't too excited to read about Jimmy since he comes across as an ass, however, he has become my favorite male in the this series. It would be difficult for Ben to top this. A majority of the time, Jimmy is mean and rude, but its just his hard outer shell. He does so many little things that proves that he isn't an ass that I ended up loving him more than Mal or Dave. The banter between Lena and Jimmy is very entertaining. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and this series. I can't wait for the last book.
