This collection I have been reading non-stop, you get lost in the multiple story's going on, and your mind is blown by the end of queen of the damned. Worth staying up late to read, and getting places early to have 15 minutes of reading time.

These three books are fantastic! However I wish Kindle would divide the book into three on my device so I can keep track of where I am in each of the books (Kindle lumps all three together making it one long book with no way to tell how far you are in each one)

This book was a great price for 3 hardcover novels put together, the edge of the paper is gold trim and the cover material is thick and embossed. One of the nicest looking book in my collection. The books themselves were amazing, just like the rest of the vampire series.
Interview with the Vampire (Vampire Chronicles) by Anne Rice (1997-03-18) :: The Queen of the Damned (The Vampire Chronicles - No. 3) :: The Vampire Lestat: The Vampire Chronicles, Book 2 :: Interview with the Vampire: Claudia's Story :: Complete Vampire Chronicles (Interview with the Vampire

Finally read The Vampire Chronicles after having seen IWAV a dozen times. I like how Anne writes the books to appear as though Lestat wrote them knowing he wouldn't be believed. I've read the twilight series and all Charlaine Harris's Sookie series books, but had never read the "mother" of Vampire writers material. She writes darker obviously, but in a way that a person would think it really is to live as a vampire. She also has a philosophical and spiritual depth to her writing which I liked. If you've never read Anne Rice before, start here. I'll be reading more!

I like vampire stuff, I liked the movie. Now that I'm retired, I can't find enough to read. But I'm not immortal like a vampire and I can't spend eternity trying to get through these Chronicles. It's a great story, enjoyable to read, but jeez that vampire loves the sound of his voice. Cut out 20% or so, move it along a little faster, a little quicker pace, and it might hold my attention. As it is, I got about half way through Interview with the Vampire and then had to move on to other books.

The Chronicles are a perfect marriage of historical fiction and vampire fantasy. The expansive vocabulary used to perfectly describe every fantastical event is not for the faint of heart, but you will feel smarter and more clever when you close these books!

This is a compilation of the first thee Vampire Chronicle Stories in one volume. It contains the text from Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, and The Queen of the Damned. Without going into details, Anne Rice writes with great depth, which can make the book difficult to read sometimes. Her prose and flair for story telling create complex narratives and sometimes it seems to go on for a long time. However, this depth is necessary for the story, and is what (in my opinion) characterizes an Anne Rice novel. Her later works evolve from these, but her style only gets better. I you haven't read these books, and have any sort of interest in Vampire lore, you should read these books. Don't let the complex reading turn you off, and stick with it. The story is worth the trip.

I have always loved Anne Rice . The Vampire Chronicles are my favorite and now I can read them over and over no matter where I go and do not have to worry about losing them and having to buy them again

I have just recently read , "The Mayfair Witch Chronicles" by Anne Rice and can't believe I waited so long to read her work! I can clearly see why she is so very popular and criticized. Her books are not for those with a weak constitution or mind. If you love this genre, then these are the novels to read and the author to bring them to life for you.

Fantastic price for three fantastic novels. A collection 'must have' if you are any kind of vampire fan. These are classic examples of when books are better than movies and lets face it, the movies were awesome! So you know what that says about the books. Buy with confidence.
