“Lots of Knock-Knock Jokes for Kids” was sent to me by Zonderkidz – a division of Zondervan Publishing – free of charge, in exchange for my honest opinion and review of it.
“Lots of Knock-Knock Jokes for Kids” was written by Whee Winn. It is filled with hundreds of cute knock-knock jokes and even some bonus riddles. Kids love to tell jokes like these, and therefore, I would recommend this book for little ones…I’m thinking my grandson (7 years old) will love it.

Lots of Knock-knock Jokes for Kids is a paperback book written by Whee Winn. This book includes more than 250 short and simple jokes for kids of all ages (which of course includes dads and grandpas) to tell one another.

The jokes in this book are easy to remember, which is great for kids like my 5 year old son who seem to forget what they're talking about 2/3 of the way through whatever it is that they are saying. These jokes are also clean and do not use any gross or graphic humor. This would be a fun book for a rainy or snowy day or to include in a child's Christmas stocking or Easter basket. It would also be fun as part of a birthday gift that might also include some funny stuff like a whoopee cushion or a Minions Fart Blaster toy (ask me how I know about these things).

Normally I tend to review more serious books, but have gown up in the USA, the knock knock jokes were something I only learned about in college. And just I like I really never do well in the nursery rhyme categories on Jeopardy!, I am not really very good at telling these jokes. I simply have not heard enough to be able to come with even a lame version of a knock knock joke. So I considered this book have remedial joke education for me and half just reading a book for fun that was easy to read and entertaining. The book scored high in all these categories. These jokes are clean, appropriate for young kids, but also entertaining for adults that just want a chuckle here or there.
There are more than 200 jokes in the book and they are all fun, easy to read and will keep your kids entertained. But to be honest, they are also fun for some adults like me, that just enjoy a silly joke from time to time that does not live off some double entendre and can be safely told in mixed company.
If you have kids starting around the age of 7 or so, this book will probably be really fun and entertaining for them. Just be prepared to listen to a lot of knock knock jokes after that. Not that that is a bad thing!

No matter how corny or groan worthy a knock-knock joke is, I will always have a soft spot for it. Many years ago my youngest son was a struggling reader. This is devastating to a momma that thinks of reading like breathing. No matter what I did it just didn't seem to help.

And then along came our first knock-knock joke book.

It was as if a light had come on. That little boy would follow all of us around reading us joke after joke. They never got old to him. He'd read the silly lines and then fall to the floor in fits of laughter. His siblings would try hiding the book to no avail. He could sniff that thing out like chocolate.

Lots Of Knock-Knock Jokes For Kids reminds me so much of that original book. The jokes are corny and eye-rolling but your kids will love them. Whether your kiddo is a struggling reader or not this book is sure to delight them. In my opinion no car trip would be complete without it.

As a grandparent I say if it is driving you nuts just send them to granny's house. I can pretty much guarantee that she'll play along. And who knows the book may get left over there. Either way it is a great investment for the wonderful memories that you all will have years from now.

My daughter absolutely loves knock knock jokes. So of course I knew she would love this book and I was right. She immediately started telling me a ton of silly jokes from the books pages and sometimes couldn't stop laughing enough to get the whole joke out. She thought they were very funny and really clever. I loved seeing her smile so big and hearing her wonderful laugh while going through this book together. It is easy for young readers to read and comprehend and the jokes are good for children grades 2-5 to enjoy. I really liked that the jokes were not crude or vulgar ( you'd be surprised how many kids joke books include those things ) but clean and fun. It was also neat that they had the jokes divided into a few different types and that there were some bonus riddles and Q&A jokes included as well. I know we will continue to enjoy reading this book for quite sometime and am really happy that we came across it.

After this book, "Lots of Knock-Knock Jokes for Kids" by Whee Winn, arrived at my house, I immediately opened the package and started testing a few jokes out on my kids. They both love knock-knock jokes and this book does the trick of infusing fresh life into their joke-telling repertoire. My oldest has enjoyed using this book to provide some easy entertainment while I'm getting dinner ready.

The book contains over 250 jokes and is laid out in several sections, with jokes sorted by name, place, holidays, or objects. This has been a fun addition in our house, especially for two boys who absolutely love knock-knock jokes!

(I’ve received this complimentary book through the BookLook program in exchange for a review. A positive review was not required and the views expressed in my review are strictly my own.)
