The beginning caught my attention, but very soon after the story began to unfold, it was completely transparent.

It seemed that about 90% of the dialog was mundane and repetitious. So many wasted words on diaper bags, meals, etc.
There was no mystery about how the book would end. The idea and Christian theme were sweet, but the book was too predictable to be interesting.

A sweet story but extremely predictable with very little character developement. I worked hard to form mental pictures while reading and normally this takes minimal effort from me. I would have liked to see a lot more strength demonstrated by the main characters. I feel like I know the dead characters who never appeared, more than the main characters.

I loved this story and how much both people loved both children. heartwarming and worth the read. It is definitely a fantasy as it is unlikely that a baby switched at birth would have two widowed single parents of the opposite gender and that the families and friends would totally embrace the other party. However, it is beautifully written and holds your interest throughout even thought you are sure from the beginning what the outcome will be.

The first chapter did not inspire my literary curiosity. However, the author has a unique way getting your attention with the drama of life's realities. It is a rare book that can bring tears to the reader. A real tribute to Mildred Colvin.
