Review:This is unlike any dystopian I've ever read. Not only does Joel Ohman manage to keep the tension amped througout the book, he adds to this with amazing drawings at the beginning of each chapter. Ohman knows how to use foreshadowing. This series is definitely one for the collector's library. It just doesn't get much better than this. Read more
Review:This book should be made into a movie!! These people in the story became so real to me. It was just heart wrenching to read about their trials they went through! And how strong they were! I highly recommend this book! Read more

Review:Another great read from Mark Goodwin!
I enjoyed Book 1 very much. Book 2 was even better. The realism was rather frightening at times, and I grimaced many times while listening. Some of the books in this genre are so out there that it is hard to imagine yourself in the protagonists' position - not this book. I tend to read very critically, even when I read for pleasure. In reference to the previous comment about misspellings, the only misspelled words I saw were in the slave dialogue. The comma issue, which I noticed as well, is grammatically correct. The author inserted commas according to proper grammar. It is personal preference to add commas for pauses and ... Read more

Review:I picked up this book because it was free. I am glad I found it. The story pulled me in. The religious lessons didn't feel preachy or forced. The romance between husband and wife blossomed in spite of their brokenness. I see myself re-reading this book many times. Read more
Review:It is hard for most of us to really understand a life so filled with tragic times but I know that it happens to many people. Sheryl’s life was filled with both physical and emotional abuse. I can understand why she found it hard to forgive her stepfather and step-brother. Homecoming is a very moving story of loss, anger, bitterness, forgiveness, reconciliation and LOVE.
I loved the story of Sheryl and Mark. Through the love shown by Mark and his family Sheryl found her way back to God. I ... Read more
