A perfect little Christmas story from Lisa Wingate! A great story in this season of Miracles set in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. When a military widow seeks to run from the sadness of loss, she instead finds a reason to return to living.

Another absolute hit by Lisa Wingate. An extremely powerful, magical, outstanding, and wonderful story. So well told the reader feels not only that they are present in the story, but can totally envision every scene and every feeling of every character on the novella. A true gift -- the story, the cause it represents, the representation via the characters, and the writer. Absolutely magical.

Do yourself and everyone else you know a favor and read this book and support this cause...you will be so very glad that you did.
And though Lisa's books are written more with the female audience in mind, this story is one I believe most men would appreciate as well.

A true must read for anyone and everyone...

I would give this book 5 stars if it had been longer. But it is what it is. Wonderful writing and a heart warming story. Perfect for the season. And the price is right. Thank you Lisa Wingate for your gift!

Another moving story by Lisa which put me into the holiday spirit. I enjoyed reading this very much, and my only wish is that it would have been longer. Hopefully, there will be a continuance or part two.

This a wonderful book about a young war widow and her young son. They have come to the Outer Banks, the place her husband loved so much, to spend Christmas. This is a great Lisa Wingate book written right from her heart. I highly recommend this book even though it is way too short!

A woman and her child endure sad circumstances to end up on the outer banks the woman and child team band together to begin a new life and maybe even a new romance but that is not the main goal
The book is lovely. You can watch the development of hE baby while you watch the development of the woman. Nice read

I love Lisa Wingate's books when I am just reading to relax and this was a good one to read just before Christmas but would be interesting at any time of the year. You don't have to work on her books, just relax and enjoy.

I just love Lisa and her stories.....they are always so significant and touching. A tear jerker, profound and touching. I was not expecting anything from Lisa for a while, but this was a most pleasant surprise. Thanks again for another great one.

How does Lisa Wingate pack so much story into just forty pages? I love this! The first time I read it, I was touched by its poignancy. The second time I read it (just now), I realized that this story could be a lesson in “Show, don’t tell.” The author’s prose seems to vibrate with life and emotion. It pulls me into the setting, the struggles of this young widow, and I, too, find myself searching for her lost love – and hoping for a better future.
If I could award more than five stars, I would. I absolutely love this e-short story.

A lovely Christmas short story about a family of a fallen solider. I wanted the story to continue. The author was very good at not only having you feel the widow' s pain, but also her need to go forward. The way she described the little boy was great. You could picture him so easily. A great quick read with a lot of emotion.

Beautiful short story about love, healing and hope. An Army widow takes their 3 year old son to the beach - a place that his father loved. Because of the Magic that is Christmas, healing, hope and love can begin...highly recommend! And, proceeds go to Operation Military Kids!

I've just stormed my way through this lovely story in one sitting. If I tell you that it's charming, or sweet, or (the ultimate candy-coated adjective) heart-warming I might put you all off. Don't be. It's a great story, sympathetically told, and if the ending was pretty well sign-posted, well, that's what Christmas stories are all about.

It's not perfect, but it's getting five stars, because this is the first Sandy's Seashell Shop story I've read, and Lisa Wingate's series is now absolutely on my wishlist. I'm dying to know more. Lisa, can you just let me know if Jason appears again? Don't worry - I won't tell anyone.
