I absolutely loved this book!!! I was intrigued by the characters and I love the time period in which the story took place. Margaret and and Camden were made for each other and I couldn't put this book down until the end!

A delightful regency romance by one of my favorite authors. I thoroughly enjoyed the interactions between Maggie and Camden and found their characters to be more complex than I expected. I'm anxiously awaiting the next romance in the Scandalous series.

I really enjoyed this first book. Camden's role is so sexy and likeable. There was a blend of light-heartedness and deepness. Margaret followed her own rules when what she wanted wasn't approved of at the time. I loved reading on to the very end. I look forward to reading more by Victoria!

In a time period where women had no say over their own bodies or whom they would marry, we find young and innocent Maggie drawn into an illicit liaison with Camden.

While they burn for each other, Maggie is being prepared for a match to a nice man who draws no feeling of desire from her.

I enjoyed the story immensely. The tension, passion and intrigue kept me reading. I was caught up and did not want to stop until the end.

This was an extremely entertaining, well-written erotic romance. The couple's passion scorched almost every page. Recommended for those romantics who enjoy graphic descriptions of passionate encounters. Only slightly disappointed with poor editing here & there. Perhaps the relationship between Maggie & Sheridan could have been spiced up for added drama? Nevertheless well worth the read.

I liked this book very much! I liked the fact that Maggie was bold enough to approach Camden and self confident enough to tell him exactly what she wanted! I think that's what made him fall in love with her. Very well written erotica.

Sorry, not for me. I'm not interested in the hero having a three some with a couple of prostitutes right in the beginning. He has no positive thoughts of them either.
So then he's supposed to be a great catch for the virginal heroine who also has no other thought on her mind than sex.
And that's just the first few pages. Nothing for me. Not going to read more of it.

This will get your heart racing, and you won't be able to think or do anything else but finish this book.

It's a cute story of the perfect debutante playing the perfect part to attract an advantageous marriage. What Maggie really wants is to experience the Duke and all the pleasures he's been rumored to unleash in in his bedmates. A masquerade is her opportunity to do just that, and after a chance encounter, they begin a pseudo affair. Maggie is still being courted by eligible men in the meantime, so the Duke must decide if he can live with the time they've already spent together, or if he can't live the rest of his life without her.

I thoroughly enjoyed the sex, but there was not much else. A few conversations about her feigning to be a prude and a couple about his feelings for a lost brother. This type of interchange would marry well with a mystery of some sort.

Such a great book! Love this genre set in this time. Society was so prim and proper with so many rules you had to follow in order to "belong" in the elite circles. That makes it all the more fun to watch the characters give in to their human nature. This author grabs you from the beginning and keeps you intrigued til the end. I thought the length was perfect as well.

I did not read this book.
I wish faces were kept out of the cover photos, or at least shadowed well. I want to envision the looks of the characters I read about. This is awful to say, but If I do not find the male model attractive, I cannot buy the book. I have bought books that show the cover model’s face that I was not attracted to, and I just could not get past it. In real life it is not all about looks, but it is in the romance genre.
I gave the book 3 stars because I liked the summary and the-Look Inside.

I, of course, guessed the plot and ending...nothing different there....but the characters were written a bit better than the norm. So bored with the same old plot, but loved the characters. Nothing special that would make me think to recommend this book, though.

I really enjoyed this first book in the Scandalous Ballroom Encounter Series. It is a bold and thrilling tale of finding one’s own way through life and not allowing anyone to make decisions for them. Maggie is a fierce and sassy heroine I liked a lot. Camden endeared himself to me with his rakish and charming ways. I loved these characters together, the smoldering passion that leapt off the pages and the excitement that there will be more to this series soon!!
