Very similar to Gregory Maguire's series of fairytale books (Wicked, Confessions of an Ugly Step Sister, etc) we learn what made made the Evil Queen evil. Additions of a few characters flesh out the book to approximately 250 pages. And portions of the Disney film, Snow White, pop up and help it all fit together. It's was an enjoyable read though a few scenes may make it a little too scary or unsuitable for younger kids. I finished the book in a few hours while waiting in the airport so it is not a lengthy novel.

I started reading this book and was impressed. After a certain point in the book, things started to sound like Disney's version of Snow White and in the end, that's how it turned out. Quote from quote from the Evil Queen was thrown into the book, which made me want to stop reading because I knew what would happen. Good quality pages and hardcover. The design on the front is cool; at first I didn't really "see" who it was on the front cover, and after reading the book I realized it looks like the Evil Queen off the Disney version.

Just coming back from Disney, I was curious about the Queen's side of the story. You can't help but feel sorry for her. It all goes back to childhood. I really liked the book. Well written and would recommend for those of us that can't get enough of Fairy Tales.

This book brought such a well needed back story to the evil queen, which was both enlightening and sad to read... Overall I cannot recommend this book enough if you love Disney stories, and villains.

I went into Fairest of All a bit skeptical. Gregory Maguire has pretty much set the standard with Wicked in writing stories of the misunderstood villains from beloved fables. I must say I was very pleased! The book is a quick read, but a fairly deep one. The insight given from the Queens POV provides a glimpse of her upbringing and the life that hardened her. I will admit the gorgeous cover drew me in. I'm also a huge Disney buff. Very nice tie in to the animated masterpiece. Highly recommended!

I have read another series by Serena called Nightmares & Fairy Tales and I love it! I was hoping that her Disney take would be decent and I couldn't put it down. She definitely knows how to get your imagination going. The story she weaved worked so beautifully, hope Disney will continue these types of books.

This was a purchase for a Snow White story collector. The product itself was a good fit. The book jacket held up to Windex and paper towel that was used to clean up the greasy finger marks (think greasy chip, food) as received. There was no fix for the smashed corner (dropped book damage), it was packaged well so I assume this happened prior to shipping.

I read "Fairest of All", with the anticipation of being entertained, which I was. The book is a very quick read, more like a short story. I did find the book to be slight on plot, and a tad repetitious at times, but any fan of the Disney movie will embrace this book, I'm sure.
