After Anna

Just bad. Bad writing, not believable dialogue. Uncomfortable use of jargon and no real sense of reason. The dialogue is the worst though. No one talks or acts or reacts like this. Had i not paid 15 bucks i would have stopped 3 chapters in

The story started out interesting and got really exciting; then it made me mad that Anna was so manipulative and Maggie took her side every time! Near the end, it was completely unbelievable that she could conduct her own investigation and then insist on going with the police chief in a dangerous SWAT mission and no one said she couldn’t! Found the end hard to believe, even with poetic license.

Overall, I liked the storyline and the writing was good, but as alluded to in the other reviews, I was not fond of the jumping around. The in-sequential order of the storyline was tedious. It’s worth reading, but certainly not worth the price I paid for it.

I loved this book. I really identified with the characters. The story was well written and called to mind many experiences with adolescents, both having been one and having raised one. For the first time in a long time, I was surprised. You won’t regret this read!

The last few chapters were suspenseful. Until then I thought this book plodded along. Maggie is weak and naive until the end. Noah is too accepting of his fate. But they both shine in the end. This story is worth sticking with until the last page.
