Mosley continues to take you deep inside an LA that was largely invisible to the greater society - in this case, the black community of the 1960s. His Easy Rawlins series provides so much insight into the development of LA that it ought to be cross-referenced under sociology.

The author waste little time immersing you back into the familiar locations and characters. The mystery although compelling plays second fiddle to the new realities faced by a people during the tumultuous time of the late sixties. The climax is refreshing because it doesn't climax as a customary whodunit novel, but it recognizes the limitations of the characters situations and provides a solution that leaves you believing that when life isn't fair the best solution is not fair but the one that makes waking up tomorrow possible.

Thank you for letting Easy survive the crash! I don't know why I am so intrigued with this character, but I have been a fan from the very beginning. Maybe because this world is so foreign to this White middle aged woman!

Walter Mosley has a unique gift of collecting seemingly abstract and unconnected ideas together in a way that makes you think about them well after you put the book down. His Easy Rawlins character is an ideal hero; A good but flawed man trying to make his way in the world around him. I eagerly look forward to reading more of his work!

As good as ever, Walter Mosley weaves a complicated tapestry of intrigue that brings in all elements of that volatile time in America's history. Easy's race and the problems of all people of color exhibited in his writings especially hits home for us who also experienced it but contains no malice as it was what it was.

I was so disappointed when I thought Walter Mosley had let the character go, and I feared that bringing Easy "back from the dead" would be a good thing. How believable could it be? Never fear and Mosley never disappoints.

I am sooo glad my fictional husband, Easy Rawlins, is back. Little Green is a great book. Mr. Mosley did it again. I only wish more of his books were made into movies. I don't understand wny we haven't seen more put to film.

Mosley comes through again, some of the best characters, being further developed as these books progress. Reading an Easy Rawlins Mystery is like visiting and catching up with an old friend. Here's hoping for many more of these mysteries!

The return of Easy Rawlings was, quite frankly, an unexpected delight. Full disclosure: I am an unabashed Mosley disciple. "Little Green" is validation of that commitment. Mosley is at the top of his game, weaving cultural commentary throughout a thrilling mystery. Bravo, sir. Bravo.

"Devil in a blue dress" with Montel Washington has been a long time favorite movie. Discovering "Easy" in a series of books has been a real gift. And then to find what a wonderful writer Mosley is more than a person could ask for.

Great story with character development and new interesting situations. Makes you think and wonder what you might do in similar situations. And while the decisions may or may not be different you cannot find fault in the end results and the calm at the end of each trial and tribulation. Have been a fan of Walter Mosley for going on 2 decades now.

The thrill of seeing Easy and Mouse in action was dampened by the author's habit of introducing new characters, detouring to give their back-stories and then trying to get the narrative moving again. It's painful.
It's like wading through mud. If Walter Mosley could take a lesson from Elmore Leonard, the novel would be a quantum leap better.

I've read ever Easy Rawlins Mystery I remember when a young Mouse killed his step father and step brother. I remember the first time Easy met Mama Jo. I can recall how Easy became Juice' s dad and then later Feather' s dad as well. During those years Easy was a flawed man with all kinds of problems. And then there's the genius Jackson Blue whose massive intellect was only matched by his overwhelming cowardice. I remember how worried I was for Easy when he fell in love with Mouse's women Etta Mae. Then I can still fell the pain and sadness as Easy watch guilt stricken as a heartbroken Etta Mae carried a dying Mouse away in her powerful arms. I was crushed but in six easy pieces when a dapper Mouse walked through the door I couldn't contain my joy. Thanks to Walter Mosley I once again couldn't contain my joy after reading Little Green : An Easy Rawlins Mystery....especially after he drove his car over the Pacific cost in the last novel! Well done I feel me and the family is all back together.

So glad to have Easy back. Great to have "recalls' woven into the story to provide sufficient history of characters and events of previous stories. Although have read a few other Mosley books, look forward to more Easy stories.

After we thought that Easy Rawlins had been killed off six years ago, it's great to see the indefatigable Private detective resurface, although a bit worse for wear. His criminal side-kick Mouse is back and this time he wants a favor. The series and characters are addictive.
