I was fooled into thinking that I would get satisfaction after reading this steamy book...boy, was I wrong. Aside from being poorly written (organization and flow), the spelling and grammatical errors were frustrating to see. That being said, I really like reading books where the main characters connect with more than just their penis and vagina. I think if the author spent some time developing Rachel and Landon's emotional connection, the sex scenes would have been more enjoyable. I found Rachel to be an emotionally weak female who lives to torture herself with men she knows are bad for her (i.e. James). I liked Landon, for the most part, but the silence and lack of quality dialogue between he and Rachel got to me. The ending of the book was not satisfying at all (Spoiler alert) . Rachel takes a call from James, while in the car with Landon and agrees to meet him for drinks...why? because he's a friend she tells Landon. They have a small argument about their promise to be exclusive, the argument becomes child-like in discussion and they say goodbye to each other ...end of book. I would not recommend this to anyone. I finished this book because I wanted to rate it. I am not interested in paying for the follow up book to get an ending...it could have and should have been done in this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the first book I've read by this author and I am hooked on her! These characters have depth and the plot is well-developed. It's not one of those slapped together billionaire stories. The only thing I didn't expect was a CLIFFHANGER!!! I need book 2 ASAP. Poor Rachel got caught up with a non-commitment guy, Jack, 2 years ago. He said he loved her but he wanted to be friends and date other women so he kept her dangling, knowing she still loved him. Then he shows up now, engaged! Rachel is upset and angry and he has the gall to ask that she be happy for him! She leaves the party where she saw him again, gets in an elevator, gets stuck at the penthouse floor where an Adonis invites her in thinking she's his hooker for his birthday! Rachel says to herself,so what I'm going through with this and she has the best sex of her life and leaves thinking she'll never see this gorgeous guy again. Wrong-o! Find out who he is and what he wants from Rachel and well,.maybe what she wants from him in this captivating romance! Oh, yeah, by the way, watch out for Jack too. I've found a new favorite author!

Drawn to You has an interesting premise and an intriguing start. I felt for Rachel and her unrequited relationship with Jack--who hasn't been there?--and her stumbling into Landon definitely feels fortuitous. The "thought she was a hooker" part gave it all a different twist.
It was a definite plus is Rachel's favor that she doesn't keep her "pay" from him (she does take it, but she gives it away, at least), however, though she tells the reader that the feelings she develops for Landon are totally different from what she felt for Jack, the relationship doesn't feel all that different. In both, she's the one secretly hoping for more while letting the guy be the one in charge of defining their relationship. When she finally voices her opinion on the matter, the book's over--and her relationship might be as well. (Yeah--cliffhanger alert.)
We only see things from Rachel's point of view, which didn't really make Landon a terribly sympathetic character. Instead, he comes off as way too good to be true (powerful, gorgeous, rich, killer bod, nice clothes, no need for recovery time, and did I mention obscenely rich?). We're supposed to feel sorry for him given his tragic backstory, but it's hard to when he's cooler about it than a February in Buffalo and is constantly telling the heroine it's none of her business.
Ultimately this one just felt too fictional for me to really appreciate. I liked Rachel but wanted her to show more inner strength; I can see the outward appeal of Landon as a hero but he has a lot of ground to make up to really deserve her. Hopefully he'll make that his mission as the series continues.

: 3.75 stars-- DRAWN TO YOU is the first installment in Serena Grey’s contemporary adult SWANSON COURT erotic, romance series focusing on billionaire hotelier Landon Court, and journalist Rachel Foster.
Told form first person point of view (Rachel) DRAWN TO YOU focuses on the building relationship between Rachel and Landon-a relationship that began with a case of mistaken identity when Landon believed Rachel was a hooker sent by his brother as a birthday present. Rachel plays along with the lie and walks away believing she will never hear from Landon again but Landon wants to know more about the woman who walked away, and pursues Rachel for something more.
DRAWN TO YOU follows Rachel and Landon through the push and pull of a relationship propositioned by Landon but becomes more of a challenge when Rachel is assigned to report on the Swanson Court Hotel acquisitions and remodeling of the classic rooms and business. When Landon asks Rachel to spend one week with him for business and pleasure, our couple begin to lose their hearts and their souls to a love that may never be.
Throughout the story Landon and Rachel are in a constant struggle with one another; neither one wants to admit their feelings but Landon is the first to reveal that he wants something more. But our heroine Rachel, seems to be hung up on her cheating ex, and Jack becomes the elephant in the room several times over. Rachel has had a difficult time recovering from her break up with a man who refused to give her something more; and Landon’s tormented past is shrouded in secrets and the death of his mother.
We are introduced to Rachel’s best friend Laurie and her boyfriend Brett, as well as Landon’s brother Aiden-an actor who may or may not have a thing for his leading starlet. Rachel’s family is supportive of our heroine’s choices although Rachel refuses to admit that Landon is anything more than friends with benefits kind of relationship.
The world building focuses on the Swanson Court Hotel chain and the remodeling of some of the older buildings but we also get up close and personal with Landon as he is unable to promise anything more than the present. In this the struggle between Landon and Rachel is full of anxiety, angst and uncertainty; and for Rachel this means that to walk away is better than to be pushed away later on.
DRAWN TO YOU is the first of three installments that looks at one couple’s lack of communication as it pertains to their feelings, wants and needs. The original proposal was entirely based upon sex, but now that the heart has become involved, there is the possibility of heartbreak, pain and betrayal. The premise is intense; the characters are frustrating and energetic; the romance is provocative and intense. DRAWN TO YOU is imaginative and passionate although the characters are frustratingly dense when it comes to love.

We meet Rachel on the evening that her ex announces his engagement. Upset and trying to get away to from the situation she attempts to leave but ends up in the penthouse, face to face with Landon Court. For some reason he believes she is a hooker. Instead of clearing up the situation she allows him to believe it and plays along. Just for one night she tells herself. One night of desire and pleasure is all it will be.
Yet when the night is over and Rachel leaves without leaving her number, Landon tracks he down. See what Landon wants he usually gets and now he wants more of Rachel.
This is where their story begins. Once found an arrangement is agreed upon for one week together. A week that turns Rachel inside out. She never thought she would fall for him like she does. The author weaves their story with hints of their lives before they meet along with pieces of what made them into the people they are today. As an added level, we meet members of Rachel's family and lets just say they add a bit of humor and depth to who she is.
With Landon the author teases us with charisma but it is only scraping the surface. You get the feeling there is so much more to the person he is. The relationship with his brother and care takers. I'm eager to learn more about what makes him tick, what the author has not yet revealed about the story behind the man.
This promises to be a wonderful start to a series that I can see is much more than meets the eye. This first book is the building block to what I can only foresee as a very promising second book.

Honest review kindly provided for ARC.
Serena Grey drew me in and held my attention through the awakening series.
Knocked me out with her stand alone "Undeniable" and most recently has body slammed me with "Drawn to You".
If you were/are a fan of Sylvia Day you will like this book. There are some similarities (complimentary so) but the writing and voice of the author is what keeps it from being just another knock off.
Rachel's voice starts out strong and remains so until she begins to question what type of relationship she indeed has with Landon. At that point the questioning in her voice is valid and with that I felt her character still remained strong and brave. While juggling conflicting emotions and the knowledge that if she asks for more she could loose what she really wants seems to fit with the character's emotional state and all of that comes through in the writing.
Landon is some of the billionaire, alpha type we see a lot of in this genre however as I've come to expect from Grey's writing there are subtleties in Landon's character that make him feel different. He is broken in some way and it seems to be a theme with Grey that all of her men have some little sparkle inside that you have to dig deep to find but holy s*** when you do.......totally worth the broken nails and dirt!
Landon doesn't disappoint, he is hot, sexy, demanding, tortured, flippant, tender....pretty much everything you love and love to hate.
Rachel's bff/room mate/cousin and Landon's brother were a couple of the interesting side characters I'd like to see more of. They were funny and developed enough that I could imagine seeing more of them in the future (or hope to).
As with each book I've read by Grey I couldn't put it down. I took my kindle to bed with me and woke up at 3 am to finish the book. And then.....it freaking ended!!!!
WTF!!!!
Write fast S.G, Write Fast!
Still madly in love with David Preston (A Dangerous Man)

This book has been consuming me since I finished reading it. I can’t wait to see where Landon & Rachel go.
To just give you a synopsis of the story, Rachel is completely wrapped up in a guy, Jack, who doesn’t really want anything more than friendship. She can’t let go that maybe, just maybe, he’ll come around and want to be with her. It’s been two years and they are still in the friend zone. Her best friend/cousin Lauren convinces her to go to a birthday party for a friend….going as far as to say that Rachel should sleep with the birthday boy to get over Jack.
Jack surprisingly shows up at the party with devastating news for Rachel who runs off to try and compose herself ending up in the Penthouse apartment of Landon Court. He thinks she’s a hooker his brother hired to entertain him for his birthday. She thinks he’s going to be a one night stand. They are both so wrong.
I felt like Rachel didn’t really ever grow as a character in the book. She went from being co-dependant on Jack to being co-dependent on Landon. She isn’t a very strong female, BUT the story was plenty hot (as in great sex scenes) to help you forget that she wasn’t a strong enough person.
Landon is the typical millionaire boyfriend denying his true feelings, though in this case, he thinks it’s what Rachel wants to hear. The story is definitely full of ups and downs, drama and lots of great erotic scenes.
As an erotic romance, it doesn’t disappoint. I am eager to continue the story in Addicted to You which the author promises will have a release date soon.
I give Drawn to You four out of five stars.

I adore this book. The story is told from Rachel’s POV and I liked all the characters from the beginning. We get to know a little bit of every character but the adventure of Rachel and Landon takes in all of the pages because they are constantly hot for each other. A lot of sex scenes are included. The story lets you yearn for more. It’s an enjoyable read and I am eager to jump right into the next book.
Finding herself accidentally in sexy hotelier Landon Court's suite, Rachel gets mistaken as a hooker, presumably booked for his birthday from Landon’s younger brother Aidan.
Both seem unable to forget this night and Rachel is sure she won’t see him again until she gets assigned to write an article for a new Lounge, where she will find herself drowning in those beautiful eyes of Landon Court.
Rachel can’t ignore the strong attraction she feels towards Landon and it seems as if he can feel it too but Landon doesn't seem to be a guy that does love and Rachel has to prepare herself for a heartbreak. How will she manage to survive this? Her feelings for her ex-boyfriend Jake were nothing in comparison to her feelings for Landon.
What a great story. I enjoyed every bit of it even though I doubt that any woman would agree to do anything a stranger wants in bed without further explanation. It doesn't matter how hot this guy is, you don't know him. He could be a perverse for all she knows.

* Received free copy through Librarything in exchange for honest review * I did not read any reviews prior to reading this book so I was completely in the dark when I began this book. I have not read anything previously by Serena Grey and, after reading this one, I will definitely be rectifying that in the future. I really enjoyed this book. My main frustration was the fact that it is simply Book 1 (something I did not realize till the last 10 pages) which means I will have to languish in suspense until the next two books are released. The characters in this book are equal parts confusing, hilarious and frustrating at times. I agree with previous reviewers that the chemistry between the two main characters is electric and jumps right off the page. This book literally had the perfect combination of plot and action both in and out of the sheets. There is the (somewhat formulaic) gay best friend and wise cracking sister that offer the perfect foil for the main character. There is also the male competition who stands in between the HEA of the main character. My only gripe is that I felt that after everything the two had been through in the book, it seemed a bit silly for either of them to let the male "villian" to come between their relationship. I felt this was more on the female lead. It was clear that she had no interest anymore in her ex, which made why she kept falling into old habits of dancing to her ex's tune even more confusing. Hopefully this gets addressed quickly in the next book. If you are like me, you will find yourself hurrying to finish this at 1 in the morning until you realize that there are two more books, and then you are reading slower so you can savor it.

This series has great potential. Rachel has been in love with Jack for years. He isn't going to commit to one woman or so he says. So sh goes on taking what little friendship she can from him. She is at a friends birthday party and Jack shows up with his fiancé. Rachel is upset and runs off. She is so upset that she can't leave the elevator crying so she hits the top floor button and ends up at the penthouse. Landon thinks she is a hooker sent by his younger brother as a birthday present. Rachel figures that one night of no strings attached sex is just what the doctor ordered. She leaves and doesn't give her number or anything. He finds her and hires her to write a story about a hotel he is renovating in California. The Sparks fly but will he run away if he knew her real feelings? I can't wait to read what happens next.

Loved the complexities in the characters. Rachel’s mind going between what she thought was the love of her life and nursing a broken heart, to discovering strong feeling to which she is not sure how to cope with.
How she understands she was never IN love, and how she is afraid to show her love to Landon just fearing his reaction and risking shattering her hearT yet again.
It’s almost hypnotizing how she was always lost in thoughts (hot ones) every time Landon around or having thoughts of him when he is not. Chemistry was above and beyond. It’s no mystery Laurie asked if she can still walk at some point.
Landon remains an enigma, a very tall and handsome one. I’ll be looking forward to know more about him.

I really enjoyed this book. The sex scenes were hot, but there was also genuine emotion. The book was well-written, with only a minimum of typos. What prevented me from giving it five stars is that it ends leaving the reader COMPLETELY HANGING. Everything is unresolved. I was not expecting that, and I absolutely HATE IT when authors do this. Hate it.

4 stars! Good storyline, interesting twist on the way that the couple meets: he mistakes her for a hooker sent by his brother. She is in it for the night or so she thought. As a wealthy hotelier, Landon, pulls out all the stops to track down Rachel and they agree on spending 1 week together of no-strings, amazing, commitment-free sex. But as they spend more time together it’s easy to see that they both want more, but are both afraid of commitment. As Rachel walks away from Landon, it’s too late for her heart and she’s fallen for him, but her week with him is up. This book is hot, sexy, and very erotic. The author has done a good job writing this story.

Wow this book was great.. Couldn't stop turning the pages.Rachel couldn't stop thinking of her Ex Jack. He told her that he can't stay with one girl. Then she found out that he was engaged. She mistaken got off the wrong floor at the hotel and was mistaken to be a hooker. Could a one night stand with sexy Landon will make her forget Jack? Loved the story. Can't wait to read book 2.

Landon Court, hotel owner, thinks Rachel Foster is a hooker when he first meets her. From the beginning, there is lots of heat between the main couple. I was also drawn in by the relationship between Laurie and Brett. This was my first book by the author, and it was a well written story. Although I much prefer standalone books ending in a happy ever after, I look forward to reading more of Landon and Rachel's story, and hopefully Laurie and Brett's as well.

A chance meeting between Landon and Rachel turns into something passionate and all consuming. Both have issues from the past and Rachel sets the pace of the relationship. Would love to hear from Landon's POV. Great characters that you instantly relate to and the story line is an easy paced gripping book. Looking forward to book 2 to understand where they go from here. Will a past boyfriend get in the way or will they show their true feelings. Well done!

Drawn To You is steamy from the beginning. The chemistry between Landon and Rachel is similar to 50 shades of grey, without the S&M. I would totally recommend it for those who appreciate a sexy romance novel. I had a hard time putting it down. My only complaint about this book is that I have to wait until book 2 to find out what really happens to Landon and Rachel!
