The courage it took to write this book is immense, but still not as great as the courage and tenacity to make the life changes the author made. I spent all day Saturday reading this book, then woke up at 5:00 am and read it to the end. I'm glad Rabbit followed her dream and found Pat.

The stories that this woman has and the ability to walk through her life’s teachable moments, is awesome. It’s like right as the light is coming on for Pat, it comes on for the reader as well. Some of the narrative portions didn’t always seem like something she would actually say herself but still it was written well!

This book is hilarious, honest, heartbreaking and eye-opening. It will tell you how things can really be in the hood. There are millions of people living in similar circumstances in America, but their stories probably won't make you laugh your ass off like this book will. Ms. Pat has a unique ability to turn the tragic into comedy.

Amazing story that gripped me till the very end. Ms. Pat is an inspiration to all women and those who weren’t born with a silver spoon. No matter what, never, ever, ever give up is a great motto for this riveting book! I couldn’t put it down and loved the various characters who influenced Ms. Pat. A true window to poverty on a whole new level.

The book shows you the trauma and family drama that followed children from generation to generation. When you know better do better ( Maya Angelou). It good to read a story like this that did not end in sadness to the point where there is no hope.

The author 's vivid description of her childhood gives a clear picture of her experience. Her voice spoke for millions of girls growing up in the inner city under unfortunate circumstances. Her story is relatable and offers hope for girls in similar situations

The best! Nothing like laughing through the tears. I love Ms. Pat! I am a teacher and have done a lot of reading about students living in trauma. The key to their success is having ONE caring adult. This book illustrates that perfectly!

Great book , so relatable and funny. Congratulations to Ms. Pat on all her success. I recommend this book to young women who are trying to find their way we’ve all been there before & it helps to hear from someone who made it through.

Wow. This book makes you think and rethink all you've known about living in poverty. It makes you think and rethink your own life decisions. This is a must read. Especially for teachers who teach in Title I and poverty stricken schools. Especially for anyone who grew up lucky enough to have a stable life.

What a crazy and harrowing story. Patricia Williams is an inspiration to keep going when you just want to give up. I read this book in two days non stop. I felt so committed and interested in her life from a child to an adult and everything she had endured while constantly having these moments of self actualization and having to survive.

I saw Ms. Pat in Spokane last month and immediately ordered the book. Do not read this book on a plane. Or anywhere public. You’ll be laughing and crying and getting all sorts of strange looks. Entertaining, inspiring, and sometimes sad; this book will make you think.

I started reading Rabbit yesterday evening and finished this morning. I couldn't put it down. Ms. Pat's ability to share the raw truth of her journey with dry humor is a thing of beauty. I could hear her voice sharing her story with every page.

What a harrowing story of survival and overcoming! Pat infuses it with humor, as that was one of her survival techniques, but her stories are real, vivid, powerful, horrific and hilarious....all in one!
