Have you ever thought you should be somewhere else? When the question was posed to Miranda, she knew she'd like to be just about anywhere other than working at the rundown diner, living in the rundown trailer, in the rundown town. Little did she know she was going to get an answer to that question.

Corbin had better things to do, looking for his father the king who'd been missing for a year, then bind with the daughter of the king of an enemy dragon clan. But it was his duty, he just didn't have to like it or make it easy for her. However, when Miranda is transported to the meeting hall, in very interesting attire, he is attracted—but not ready to change his mind or actions.

I loved watching Corbin's astonishment when the woman he was to wed stood up to his obnoxious greeting. Miranda didn't know what was going on, where she was, or what would happen. She did know it was far better than where she had been.

Ms. Babineaux is a new author to me. When she asked if I'd read her book, I agreed and am I glad. It was a thoroughly enjoyable read, interesting land, dragon shifters, enemies, and couple. Throw in some heat, some intrigue, surprises, and I just had to keep reading. This is a series, but the book stands alone, although some interesting intrigue is set up for future books. I will be reading them all.
Thank you, Ms. Mabineaux I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy.

My Review: ✰✰✰✰⭒

A bit shallow, but fun, hot sex, sexy women, hot men, dragons, wizards, castles…just like in a fairytale!

Miranda had a pretty sad life, but she hopped on it when something better was offered, even though it was a lie. Corbin needed someone to bring him down a peg and make him a bit more humble and bearable and Miranda was just the woman to do that. He was a king, but he was careless of women, superior.

Siccora Wildfire had been a child sent away for her safety with a protector. She came to care about her protector and didn’t want to marry a stranger, so she offered up an alternative and the means to make it happen. No one had seen her in years. The two women looked so much alike. So why did she show up at the wedding to stop it and claim her place? Why almost get them all killed?

And what does Siccora’s brother know that he’s not sharing?

Who is Miranda really?

Well, I guess you’ll need to read the first book to get caught up on the first part, while I get the second book and find out what happens next, cause this looks to be one really fun series with lots happening. Recommended.

Miranda had grown up being self sufficient, as her mother had taken to drink, after her father had left, when she was merely five. Since her mother's death, she looked after herself. When the well to do woman walked into the diner , and asked if she felt that there was more to her life, than she knew, Miranda was to find out soon enough how much more there was to lif, all because she placed the necklace left by the women, around her neck and did up the clasp.
Corban was still chasing the mystery of his father's disappearance, over a year later. Then to be told that there had been developments in who was to become his bride, a thing he really did not want to be a part off. It was all for political gain and nothing to do with desires or love. Well, this is what he thought, until a certain dark haired, naked woman appeared in his hall.
I have given you a basic outline to the start of this book. There is drama and uncertainty in the chapters ahead, but a great read nevertheless.

Dragon Blue: A Lie That's True
The Dragonlords of Xandakar #1
by Macy Babineaux

This is a new author & new world for me… See Xandakar is in another Realm… Xandakar which is inhabited by dragons who can transform themselves into humans. This is a great introduction to this series! Part 1 of 5 books

Miranda Betts is in a boring, dead end job as a waitress at truck stop on Earth. When Miranda is left a strange necklace as a tip, she just thinks maybe she can sell it & make some cash. Instead when she puts it on she is transported to another world where magic & shifters are normal. She finds herself in Blue dragon’s lands. Miranda is expected to marry the newly opposed King… Miranda had no idea how she was going pull this off..

Corban Everfrost is the king of the blue dragons & he does not want a mate but prophecy dictates he is to wed with the Daughter of the Wildfires clan who has been hidden away on Earth most of her life, but will be arriving soon. His soon to be bride is only going to interfere with his search to find his father

Corban was real ass in the being of this book, & I wasn’t sure that he was the right match for Miranda.. But the man or should I rather say dragon… He show us he had heart hidden beneath all that leathery skin

Miranda I was hesitant about her & how her taste in appetite for sex how was portrayed in the being of this book.. I thought that it was going to be more sex then story line- I cant believe that I just said that out loud… Since I knew walking into this series that there was going to be 5 books, I wanted good storyline.. And trust me Macy Babineaux didn’t not disappoint

This is Standalone book with no Cliffhanger, even after saying that it had a good ending with you wanting more. Looking forward to book 2….
People who like paranormal romance will like this story.

I'm a sucker for a good paranormal romance, everyone knows this by now. Dragons have become one of my new favorite shifters to read about, so I was super excited when I got the opportunity to review this one! First off, look at that cover! *swoon* It's gorgeous! And I am happy to report that the story behind the cover is just as good.

One of the most important things for me in a paranormal romance tale is the way an author writes. It takes a special author to be able to weave a great story about mythical creatures and far-away lands and capture the reader completely. I was completely drawn into this story! This was the first novel I've ready by Macy, but it definitely will not be the last and a large part of that was her writing style. It's very unique and different than anything I've read before. There's a special something about it I can't quite put my finger on. It's risqué and humorous, yet the characters feel real at the same time. Dragon Blue is told in two alternating POVs that are distinctive. Normally I'm not a huge fan of alternating POVs, but it works with the plot. I enjoyed being able to get into both of the main character's heads and exploring them more as characters that way. Miranda was my favorite of the two. She's sassy, quirky, yet brave and a little bit dirty. She's more than your average cookie cutter heroine and that's why I like her.

The storyline is intriguing and this story was a great introduction to the series. Though the book doesn't end in a cliffhanger, which I enjoyed, it still left me anxious to continue reading about these characters and this exciting new world filled with rivaling dragon clans. The little bit we got to know and see of the different clans was fascinating and I'm hoping to learn more about them in future books.

The only thing stopping this book from being a 5 star instead of a 4 star rating was that the characters fell in love a little too quickly for my liking. It seemed like one page they went from not caring for one another to them being in love. I would have liked to see a little more build up in their relationship before that point. With that said, I was still a sucker for the romance. It's sweet, yet spicy. There is quite a bit of steam throughout the whole story, but is not too prevalent. I enjoyed that the sensual aspect of the story did not over shine the world building and character development. I think that balance is very important, especially in the first book of a series.

In short, I loved this world and cannot wait to visit again! If you're looking for an exciting new paranormal romance series to try out, definitely give this one a try. The writing and storyline are awesome!

This is a absolutely a fascinating story of a young human woman who pretends to be Sicocora Wildfire and her fiance Shifter King Corban Everfrost.
The young woman Miranda Betts who is a waitress at Benny's Restaurant right outside of Norman Oklahoma where she has been working since Benny took a chance on her she doesn't have anyone since her mother died other than her best friend who is also a waitress, she pretty much gets her kicks from her thriller books and the truckers that she spends time with when they come through but she never makes it anything but a one night stand. Today she is late for work and her whole life is about to change because of a rich customer that comes in and orders a rare choice steak she makes Miranda feel nervous but she thinks she doesn't like and then she feels sorry for her when she sees the sadness in her face but that is because she asks a question that Miranda wasn't sure who she was really asking the question to, Did you ever wonder if your life wasn't meant for something else? Miranda thought every damn day lady. Miranda was shocked when the woman left she left a bag on the table and the steak that was left over was charred she was trying to figure how the woman did that but most of all she wanted to know what was in the bag the woman left on the table she opened the bag and saw a necklace with big red stones all around it they were rubies she put it in her pocket and put $20 on the table. When she gets home she is drinking wine and looking at the necklace but she is so fascinated that she strips off her work clothes and puts on the necklace and is stirring at herself in the mirror when something starts to happen she is sitting on the floor she is scared but she can't do anything she cannot remove the necklace and she feels like she his being pulled through something when it all stops she finds herself in a castle a cold castle with the finest man she has ever seen and a old man standing in front of her,The man is Corban Everfrost King of Xandakar of he Blue Dragons and Wygard the Mage Owl. This begins Miranda (Sicocora) and Corban's wild and crazy sometimes hilarious and dangerous adventures. I received an ARC for an honest review. Great Story.

Dragon Blue: A Lie That’s True (The Dragonlords of Xandakar, Book 1) was written by Macy Babineaux. It is a science fiction that takes place in Xandakar which is inhabited by dragons who can transform themselves into humans. Xandakar has the Wildfire clan (red dragons), Moonglow (white dragons), Nightshadows (black dragons), Tanglevine (green dragons) and Everfrost (blue dragons). In the middle of the country is One Tree where the owl-mages live.
Miranda Betts lives in a trailer off Route 48 near Norman, Oklahoma. She works in Benny’s diner for a living. She had lived with her mother after her father abandoned them and had taken care of her drunken mother until her death. Now Miranda wanted something different, something better. How to get it she didn’t know. One day an elegant lady came in the diner. She just wanted a rare steak. Miranda was awed by her; but when she left, the lady didn’t leave any money; but she did leave a pouch with a necklace with an egg size red stone hanging from a gold chain. Miranda paid for the lady’s dinner but kept the necklace.
That night, she undressed and then felt compelled to put on the necklace. The next thing she knew, she was kneeling in some massive hall completely naked except for the necklace. Before her was the most gorgeous man she had ever seen who was dressed in a blue suit with what looked like scales on it. Beside him was a man all covered in a white cloak. They welcomed her as Siccora Wildfire. It seems they were expecting Siccora to arrive that day to marry Corban, the man in blue who was the leader of the Everfrosts. Dumbfounded, she let them think she was Siccora.
What will Miranda do when her Wildfire father turns up for the wedding? What will she do when she finds out she is in the land of dragons and more importantly is one? Then the real Siccora turns up!
I agreed to read and review this book because I had read another book by this author and she asked me to try this one. I was reluctant to try it because it was all about dragons and I am not a big science fiction fan. I had always told my students to try different genres and not give up on any one of them; so I felt I had to give it a shot. I am so glad I did. The book is really good and once you figure out you are no longer in Oklahoma, you are hooked. You must read on to find out what will happen to Miranda. I highly recommend this book.

Dragon Blue by Macy Babineaux is a book about a young woman by the name of Miranda Betts who is a waitress at a diner just living her life trying to get by. She has a strange encounter with a young woman who comes there in a limo who asks her…”Do you ever wonder if your life wasn’t meant for something else?” Of course Miranda feels that way…she wants more from her life than just working in the diner and having sex with random strangers when she feels like it. What she doesn’t know is that when the strange woman leaves behind a beautiful ruby necklace that it will thrust her into another world, another life that will change everything for her.
When I first started reading Dragon Blue I was quickly drawn in. Miranda is a waitress with a past of where she had to be the one who became the breadwinner for her family at a very young age. She doesn’t seem to have a lot going for her living out of a trailer, working a waitressing job and having sex with men when she feels like it but always moving on and easily so since they are all truckers. But when she finds a mysterious necklace left after a strange woman stops there all of that changes as she is transported to another world of where the people are shifters who shift into dragons and other creatures as well.
She meets a man named Corban who is looking to find out what happened to his father but has just been told that his wife to be will soon be coming from another world and that it will bind his dragon tribe and another together to help forge a stronger alliance of peace. But things go chaotic when the truth comes out with the appearance of the true woman. But there is more afoot as they will all find out. This book is really engaging and draws you in quickly. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series when it comes out. Overall I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

Dragons, fantasy, romance – those three things alone made me jump at the chance to read this book. And I’ve got to admit – I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the fantasy, magic, and world building the author created in the world of Xandakar. I always enjoy a story with well-paced action and suspense, and the political intrigue and deceptions that will reveal itself in books to come will keep me interested in continuing this series. With that being said, I was kind of disappointed with the romance aspect of this story. I liked our main characters well enough – Miranda is a strong, intelligent, spit-fire of a woman who doesn’t back down from anyone or from what she wants. Corban was the consummate alpha – loyal to those he loves, bound by duty, and of course freakishly hot. However, I was irritated by the “insta-love” problem I see in a lot of fast-paced romance stories. Although Miranda and Corban were instantly attracted to each other, they knew each other maybe a total of two days before proclamations of love were expressed. Sure – Miranda didn’t cower to Corban when he was trying to “set the rules” of their relationship, but to me that shouldn’t equate to love for him… and pretty much vice-versa for Miranda. Yes – Corban is a hot hunk of dragon, but love? He was a giant d-bag to you when you met. I wish we could’ve seen more interaction and banter between the two leads, as I feel the love would’ve revealed itself more organically. There were a few characters I found annoying, and I hope to see how they reveal themselves more in later books.

Overall, I was glad to pick up this book and I think it will be a series I will enjoy. I’d say 3.5 stars, but bumping up to 4 because I think it shows a lot of promise.

Miranda was a waitress at a truck stop called Bennys. When a rich women leaves a necklace behind instead of a tip. Taking it home she puts it on and is transported to Xandakar were she is mistaken for a someone else, a princess who was to marry corban everfrost ruler of the blue ice dragons.
The story is a wild ride from there and really a great tale of mystery, action and more. Fantastic and I am so glad I has the chance to read it.
The thing that seemed a little odd was how fast they went from hate to caring. The crap corban pulled? It would take more then one dinner. Lol but it's a book and the story was great and there is far more mystery building up! I can't wait for the next book. I am hooked
Dragon fans this one was different and unexpected she a new author to me and I highly recommend it.

Miranda has a spare existence in life and work; waitressing at Benny’s. She amuses herself by hooking up with the occasional trucker. Until a fancy lady arrives in a limo and leaves an ornate necklace in place of paying her bill. Miranda pays the bill herself and takes the necklace; changing her life forever.

Corban is a dragon prince being forced into a marriage which will solidify relations between two dragon clans. Siccora Wildfire of the Wildfire clan is to arrive soon according to the oracle. Corban is not really interested, and continues to investigate the disappearance of his father almost a year ago.

When Miranda tries on the necklace she is transported to Corban’s castle. As everyone calls her Siccora, she plays along until she can figure out what is going on. Let the adventures begin!!

Macy Babineaux is a fairly new author – a “new to me” author – and I am very pleased I accepted her ARC offer. The story has good pace, developed characters, and is well written with show me not “tell me” that many new authors fall into. The storyline is NOT predictable, and I look forward to reading more in this series.

I absolutely loved this "Happily Ever After" story, it was really a Fairy Tale come true!

Miranda Betts doesn't think things can get any worse for her working at a dive diner and living in a run down trailer until a customer leaves a pendant and she decides to put it on and dream a little. She does wake up from what she believes to be a wonderful dream, she is about to live every girls dream come true, or is it? She is literally thrown into a world she only read about in books and nothing could be better and scarier. The adventures that await her are mind blowing!

Corbin Everfrost is King of the Blue Dragons of Everfrost and he really doesn't want anything to do with an arranged mating to the daughter of the King of the Wildfire dragons in order to forge an aliance between the clans, but he must follow tradition. Then when he sees the perky and feisty Miranda aka Siccora Wildfire all those thoughts go flying out the window.

There is an evil lurking in the snow covered mountains of Everfrost, will they succeed in eiminating this evil and who is really responsible for it?

When a strange woman leaves an even stranger pendant as a “tip” waitress Miranda’s life becomes more interesting than she could have ever imagined. Magically pulled to another world and mistaken for a princess and about to be wed to the king, who happens to be a dragon. Corban, now king of the Everfrost clan (his father disappeared and he has been trying to solve where he was taken and by whom), does not want to be forced into marriage with the princess of a rival clan, but when Miranda shows up he feels a strange connection. When the real princess shows up all hell breaks out and it looks like Miranda is a goner. However, the magic in the pendant that pulled her to Xandakar has no intention of letting it’s chosen vessel be harmed. Wow! Exciting and entertaining start to a series! Loved the characters, especially Miranda and how she followed her heart with bravery.

Absolutely love this story! What happens when a waitress is given a time traveling necklace? She gets pulled into a realm complete with humans that become dragons!

The necklace is supposed to represent the true identity of the woman in an arranged marriage to bind two clans. Only problem is, Miranda is not the intended who she pretends to be.

Once it is revealed she has been lying, Miranda must face off with the dragon who blows her secret. How can a full blooded human survive a battle to the death with a dragon?

Jump in between the covers of this exciting adventure and learn what her fate becomes ~

I got this story in exchange for an honest review. Lately, I’ve been surprised by the number of new PNR shifter stories that have (what are for me) an original premise and this is also one of those stories. It starts out with a woman whose existing and through the machinations of others actually begins to live and learn about herself, that there are other realms or planes of existence and that anything really is possible. I enjoyed this story and I’m looking forward to the next part that will hopefully reveal more about the mystery that was the epilogue about the lead female protagonist and about a new female antagonist.

I was gifted this book for an honest review.

Dragon Blue: A Lie that is True takes place mainly in a world or maybe dimension called Xandakar. Magic portals can link Earth to Xandakar. I really like this mythology, Xandakar is ruled by five dragon families. Moderated by owl mages, who help keep the peace, barely. But underneath the peace is treachery and intrigue. And other magical and mystical things.

I really like Miranda, she's had a tough life but that's made her stronger not weaker. Corban is selfish, arrogant, and a reluctant dragon King. Can she survive in Xandakar? Is he worth her time?

Great read! Wonderfully written. Gritty, sexy, hot, and gripping. Miranda is a character that at first you feel slightly off about but soon you connect with her feelings and realize what she is about. Corbin comes across as an arrogant jerk who is cold and unfeeling but soon you see what's inside and what drives him. Can they connect? Will Miranda survive? Wow, I didn't want to put this one down. I definitely recommend this book!. I can't wait to read the next one.

Macy Babineaux has drawn me into a world of Dragons. Corban Everfrost, an obnoxious Alpha leads the clan of the blue dragons ever since his father has disappeared. Miranda is a waitress stuck in a small town in a run-down diner. A very elegant woman enters Miranda’s life one evening, leaving behind a beautiful necklace. Transported to a strange land and people believing she is the lost daughter of another Dragon clan Miranda is so confused. Corban is to marry Miranda and he realizes that she is a spitfire and not a weak woman. I cannot wait to see what happens in this series.

Macy Babineaux has crafted a fantastically written paranormal romance with touches of SciFi in it . Great characters, both primary and secondary. The world building, while not as complete as it could be, is done well, especially for such a new author and this being the first book of water looks to be a series, a series I plan to read !! I recommend this book to any lover of Space/time travel, Paranormal Romance and SciFi. 5☆'s I received a gifted copy and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.

Beginning of a series. Travel to a different world, dragons, owls, mistaken identity, villains, and a promise of more mayhem to come made this an interesting read. It took me a bit to like Miranda, but she is a spitfire and can take care of herself. Corban comes off as arrogant to begin with. They fall in love and fight side by side. This is a fun read.
