Written in My Own Heart's Blood - A Breath of Snow and Ashes

History, suspense, romance, spiritual insight, and great characters. So many pages, but every page worth your time. After the last television episode of the season, had to get the next book to find out what happens to Clair and Jamie. I'm on my 5th book of the series!!

I loved the first four novels and am loving these next four. I will be at a loss when I finish them. Diana Gabadon brings her characters to life in every book. Following the adventures of Jamie and Clare has given me many, many hours of enjoyment.

Loved the eight books about this family but, would have liked to read more about what happened when Brianna returned with her family ...I feel like the story needs to go on and not stop abruptly. Is there more story somewhere??

Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series of books have been filled with a good balance of history, suspense, passion, and romance. She gives the readers a creative insight into how life was lived so many centuries ago in Europe as well as America. Each book in this series ties into each other seamlessly. I am glad a made for tv version has been created that follows her books as closely as they can. Her books of course are far better to read with lots more detail, so sure to read the books before watching the tv series. Some parts may be confusing without some prior knowledge. Also try using the closed caption while viewing as well. The Scottish broag and Gaelic sections are a little hard to understand while viewing. This series is very popular. Each season revolves around her books in sequential order (i.e. Season 1 book 1, etc) and is offered through STARZ first then the store videos. Get the books and read them first, then kick back, relax, and enjoy the movie version too!

I think my heart alternately breaks or is joyous throughout this series. I love so many of these characters, and I hated to see "Written In My Own Heart's Blood" end. I wait anxiously for the upcoming next book so I can learn what happens to all these people! It is especially intriguing to watch Claire take her modern day medical training and apply it as best she can when she has to improvise with what is available to her during the Revolutionary war. I highly recommend this whole series.

I have been using the audible version so I can listen while painting in my studio. This version doesn't seem to have that option so disappointed. I expect I have to order individually to get audible capability for Kindle?

I am into the books, there is just too much descriptions, it makes the books too long. It could have been condensed a bit and it would have been a good read . I will read it ,it just gets boring sometimes.

Fascinating. Written in 1st person for the most part, but some from second person. A good historical time travel fantasy, between 18th and 20th centuries. Well defined characters, rich full views of different cultural contexts, especially Scottish Highland culture and Colonial American

available. Therefore I deleted it. Please issue a credit for the Kindle Edition and I
will reorder the paperback set which is what I intended to order initially.

If I could give this more stars I would. I received this for Christmas. The whole series of eight books. I read quite a lot and I am just coming to the end of book eight. All I can say is wow. I have thouroughly enjoyed it all. I will miss it.

My problem is with the display to purchase from the store - It showed, as does this bundle a group of volumes, when I tried to order them they were only available on an e type reader, not in printed copy. I was very displeased to have to go to Barnes & Noble to get my copies.

why is this not available in paperback set? I bought the first four and a set of paperbacks in a box. Very nicely done, however; I know now find that there is no way to get a box set of five, six, seven, eight. So I had to buy them separately.
