K. Webster has been my go to author for a long time! This was the first book that I ever read from her. She does such an excellent job writing from all angles of variety.

Andi is suffering from a broken heart. She has been wallowing in self pity for a couple of weeks. With the help of her friends, Andi decides it's time to get back out there in the dating world.

Jackson is a tall, dark and handsome man wrapped up with a lot of angst. He likes to go after what he wants but has a way of destruction too.

Andi and Jackson's worlds collide when they meet. There is fireworks, chemistry and more. They must work hard together to overcome past hurts, secrets and love.

Can these two broken souls put the pieces together to their puzzle? Will their love be strong enough to hold them together?

The only reason I read this book was because of the rave reviews, but boy was I shocked. The writing was mediocre at best. The story wasn't unique and the characters weren't developed. It was more tell than show.

If this story wasn't free I would be wanting a refund. I don't get all the 5 star reviews. In the beginning it held promise but quickly went down hill. I struggled to finish it. This is another story that reads like a 16 yr. old wrote it. I agree with another reader, this was a fifty shades wanna be. I don't like stories where the female is childish and Jackson was another issue. This was a complete train wreck.

My interest perked up in the first couple pages and held strong through the rest! I could not put the book down. Loved how we went back to the dark days so as to catch glimpses as why we were where we were in the story! Can't wait for the next 2 books!

Maybe it isn't fair to only give this two stars, simply because I didn't like the portrayal of the characters. The protagonist, Andi, is a spineless, quivering mess who has "a tear leak down her cheek" every chapter. But she solves everything by having sex with everyone. Woohoo, score one for feminism! No alpha male or female here, and not much to recommend this book or this author.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE romance books. By far my favorite genre. But, from the first chapter all the way through the bonus chapters, I did not like this book. I understand the main characters are "broken" but Piper reads more as an insecure alcoholic and Jackson sounds abusive/posessive (I will admit that he got better towards the end from the emotional abuse standpoint). Not once did I root for this relationship. In fact, I wish they had taken time apart, jumped forward 5 years, got their acts together, and only then end up together. Neither of them had any business trolling the streets and had no business pursuing a relationship in their current mental states. The drama felt very manufactured and overall the whole book gave a vibe of trying too hard while putting in the most minimal amount of effort possible. Definitely not a book I will read again.

Hmmm.... Had potential to be like a "holy hell this book is sooooo damn good", but i stopped & started it cause it frustrated me a little.

The writing was good but too wordy.,.. Like the way these people spoke to one another its like, ummm no way as if.
If they were thoughts then yes... I dunno it just wasent consistant in some character development ways that peeved me a little.

Otherwise the hubba hubba scenes were fab & really detailed ;)

Why didn't I like this book? I felt like a psychic sometimes as I read this because it was so predictable and cliche. Andi caught her fiancee cheating, tried to kill herself with pills over it and basically became a sl*t to cope. She sleeps with anything. Then she meets Jackson. Literally every other scene with them is sex of some form throughout the whole book. I'm not even kidding. It's not even well written sex. It's boring and predictable. Jackson is closed off because he's been hurt by his ex too, and so ensues chaos when she starts her new job and discovers Jackson is her new boss, and her cheating ex is her new co-worker. You can see where I'm going with this. The writing was annoying as well. No abbreviation at all, and the characters address each other by name in almost every sentence. It was beyond annoying. If this book has not been free I would be returning it for a refund instead of just deleting it.

The first few chapters of the book held glimmers of a great read. I could tell how hard the author was trying to show how "broken" the heroine was...but she came off as a very superficial silly YOUNG female without any worldly knowledge whatsoever. The conflicts (internal AND external) were one dimensional, predictable, and frustrating. The never-ending "dark days" sections were completely skimmed over because of repetitive depression and poor pitiful me paragraphs ad nauseum.

Seasoned readers beware. :(

Very brief synopsis - Andi is anonymously screwing her way through the Big City in an effort to heal her broken heart. Jackson is a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde type of guy. When Jackson becomes her toy of the weekend, Andi fully expects to never see Jackson again after they part ways. ****SPOILER***Imagine her surprise when it turns out Jackson is one of her new bosses. Then the guy who broke her heart turns up as a new Junior Associate.****

What worked for me - I see where the author was trying to go with this. Andi is using promiscuity to recapture her power after her ex was unfaithful. She got positive reinforcement the first time she has a one night stand, and after feeling so bad, she needed to feel the high of being wanted. I'm all for women doing what they choose to with their bodies.

The structure of the story was good. Things flowed along. There were no glaring errors.

What didn't work as well - Like I said, I'm all for women doing what they choose to with their bodies. But Andi isn't careful. She accepts Jackson's word that he is "clean", she goes home with strangers without giving their contact info to her friends...Scary.

I've been reading erotica for quite some time, well before the current craze. There is a lot of sex in this book, something I usually welcome. But the scenes were so frequent (not kidding, probably every other page), and so lacking in emotion, almost matter of fact. I get they were crazy mad for each other sexually, but there was nothing to grab ahold of for the reader. He thrusts, she screams, they are getting dressed for about 5 minutes until they go at each other again.

Jackson was a conflicted mess. After finally getting his story, I can see why. I didn't feel like his drama was validated by his circumstances, though. Jackson had a complete and utter lack of self-control over his emotion, and everyone around him paid the price. When he was sweet, he was awesome. When he was angry, he was verbally brutal. If someone said to me what Jackson said to Andi after their last fight, it would take more than an "I'm sorry".

Andi was described as weak ad fragile throughout the book. The flashbacks chronicle her and Jackson's issues. Andi was...odd. She would be all slutterific/man-eater one moment, then clapping her hands like a little girl over food items the next. We see how her self esteem was rocked by her ex. Her lack of self-esteem is the only explanation I can come up with as to why she lets Jackson treat her like crap. She walks in on something in Jackson's office that triggers her issues, and is devastated. Yet, the next day, she just accepts Jackson's explanation at face value. Even if the situation was innocent, given her history, it felt like it should have had a bigger impact. Andi, overall, just struck me as incredibly young and shallow.

Bottom line- I had a hard time with this review. I gave it three stars because I did finish it, and I am mildly intrigued by Pepper and Jordan, Andi's best friend and Jackson's brother. Not sure I am intrigued enough to actually read it. Broken really didn't work for me. It felt cold, for want of a better word. I didn't feel connected to the characters. The story ends abruptly. Technically, it was fine. Your experience may vary.

I decided to do a throwback and read K. Webster's first book baby. I was certainly not disappointed. First off, this did not read like someone's first book. I loved the characters and how vividly they leapt from the pages. I was totally invested in the story and had an intense need to know what would happen next for Andi and Jackson. Andi's "dark two weeks" scenes really added great darkness and depth to the story. I felt torn apart emotionally more and more after each one.
As things went along and I saw Andi's walls being torn down, I was cheering her on. Jackson had a dark past of his own to overcome though, and it made for a very intense back-and-forth between these two.
In regards to poor Andi, it was the old 'if it can happen, it will happen' at play. She couldn't seem to catch a break in some regards. Chapter 22 completely threw me for a loop. I could feel her hurt and emotions raging right along with mine. And as many of the secrets revealed themselves later, I found it hard to wrap my head around all of the hurt and pain that Jackson was carrying around.
The layers and emotions within this book were truly incredible.
This was an absolutely fantastic book that had so many amazing elements and emotions within its pages. I highly recommend it and cannot wait to get my hands on the others in this series. These characters have gotten under my skin in the best of ways and I have to have more.

Broken by K. Webster is the perfect combination of jaw dropping shock, gut wrenching angst, and unrestrained passion. I absolutely fell in love with these characters and was enthralled by the story line from start to finish!

Andi’s perfect bubble is popped when she catches her fiancé having sex with another woman. In an attempt to shut out and numb the pain, she constructs walls around her heart and becomes promiscuous. She refuses to let her ex’s infidelity break her and instead manipulates physical intimacy as a tool to leverage control in her out of control life. Her flings only last a weekend before she cuts the guy loose and moves on to the next. This allows her to not get invested and have the power.

Her plan was working perfectly until she jumps into a weekend of fun with Jackson. What starts as purely physical quickly develops into something deeper. Something she’s been avoiding since her heart shattered. Jackson penetrates her physically and emotionally; leaving her to second guess the façade she’s spent so much time building.

This story was a roller coaster. K. Webster wastes no time diving into the action as Andi’s hopes and dreams are crushed early on. Enter Jackson, a slew of plot twists and turns, and a passion between the characters that is undeniably delicious. I don’t want to give away the juicy details, but I will say this book is a sinful treat.

Indulge in Broken by K.Webster. It has heartbreak, drama, and plenty of steamy scenes all pieced together in a fantastic read from beginning to end. I cannot wait for the next installment in this series.

OH MY GOD.
Why the bloody hell did I wait this long to meet Jackson??!

Hmmm. There's just something really f-ing sexy about you not being able to see my face. I don't want you to see me till after I make you come. You like that rule?"

This is the first book in the breaking the rules series. It can be read as a standalone. This follows Andi and Jackson. Both characters have been hurt before and are more than willing to play Andi's game, just some fun, their hearts still fully guarded and just one weekend. Easy. Except unknowingly they walk straight into mixing business and pleasure.

Jackson is a hot as hell businessman that is more than happy to play along with Andi's rules, not being interested in getting hurt again, himself. We are introduced to sexy side to him from the start but as the story progresses we get to see more and more sides to him. I'm not even going to lie it took me like a sentence or two to fall in love with Jackson! but just like Andi, we get the ups and downs with his character too. One minute I was literally shouting out 'What the f--k??!' then a minute later I was possibly on the verge of tears as we get a deeper look into Jackson. Trying to understand some of his choices and actions will possibly give you whiplash but he is oh so worth it!!

Andi? ahhh. First of all I have to mention her sheer bad luck. I could totally see that happening to me, it was hilarious! Andi's way of protecting herself may be questionable but I just felt sad for her, I was really rooting for her to heal and be happy. There was a lot thrown her way with her Past and Present coming together in the one place but I think she takes it on the chin, dealing with it so well.

"We were both damaged people trying to live normal lives. Maybe we could fumble through this after all."

I loved how this was written. Getting their story from the present but getting glimpses of what got them to the place they are at now, too. There was a lot of obstacles for these characters to deal with, individually and together. Jackson and Andi are both a little broken, they have the power to heal one another or completely ruin eachother and themselves in the process. This was a great start to a series, sex, drama and Kristi's sense of humor weaved throughout the story and plenty of character's to make up the story. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

" You just gave me oral s-x in our shrink's office. I think it's safe to assume we're on the same level of crazy."

Arc was received from author in exchange for an honest review.

I'm going to get right to what I loved about this book! I loved the reflection of the back story, between chapters, to show the reader the progression of how Andi became the Andi of present day. It was brilliant and didn't take away from the here and now at all! This went on until the back story hit real time (present). It was perfection. When you are all caught up with Andi's story, you're curious as to why Jackson is the way he is and bam . . . his back story is provided. Never out of step. It was just brilliant--oh, I said that already! Well...it was!

On to the actual Characters! I just adored them. Andi's heart was broken so badly that she's built up a wall of self-preservation that no one has been able to break down. That is . . . until Jackson comes along. He likes her game and wants in on it. It's convenient for him since he's dealing with the demons from his own past. This should've been easy. They both knew and loved the rules. Their confidence in knowing the other would not be wanting "more" was exactly their downfall. They got comfortable. And so, they broke the rules.

Figuring out their feelings for one another, while both still dealing with their pasts, was not an easy feat. Although, I love Jackson--there where moments when my heart sunk at the things he said to her to push her away. It's been a long time since a book's characters made my heart drop like that. That is because Ms. Webster has a way of really pulling you in with her words!

I think this was a great debut and I can't wait to see more from her!

I instantly fell in love with Jackson and Andi.
The chemistry between the two characters was extremely hot!
I really enjoyed this read about two broken souls, who come together to find the missing piece of themselves in each other.
Before they met each other they thought they were fine living there life, one weekend changes everything; when the rules that they live by get broken
1: you get three days only
2; once Monday comes it's OVER!
3: No feelings involved!
they realise the lives they were living wasn't living at all just existing.
Andi meets Jackson one Friday night and he agrees to her rules…. All starts out well; there is plenty of HOT HOT sex!! But the physical act of sex soon develops into something more… and Andi walls around her heart soon start crumbling down.
Jackson is also hiding a broken heart...... can they help each other to heal or will they break one another further???
This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster journey …

I am looking forward to reading the second book in the series!!

I received an ARC from the author for an honest review.

This was a scintillating story that had me captivated since the beginning of the story. I have to say that it was very hard to put this book down once I started it.

Broken is a story about Andi and Jackson. Andy has decided to live life dangerously after she catches her fiance in bed with another woman. He really broke her heart and she was suffering from this since she was so in love with him. After her therapist suggests she start doing things to occupy her time other than having Brayden on her mind, she decides to take photography as a hobby and also start having flings, very short flings like weekend flings. She is avoiding getting her heart broken again so this is the only way to go with her.

Jackson is a handsome guy with a really bad temper. He has the looks that make women drool over him. But Jackson also has a pretty broken past and he also isn't looking for a commitment and is trying to just have fun himself. Just like Andi, he is also just guarding his heart and preventing it from being broken again.

When Andi and Jackson meet at a bar they decide to have a game that is just for the weekend and boy what a weekend that was. They thought they'd never cross paths again after their weekend fling is up, but boy were they wrong. When Monday comes around and Andi walks into her new job, she finds out that Jackson is going to be one of her bosses and boy was that awkward! Not only is it being awkward to work for Jackson but then she comes to find out that she's also going to be working for Brayden, her ex-boyfriend who broke her heart.

Even though Brayden left her broken, she has decided to start opening up for Jackson because she has realized that Jackson means more to her than she would like. Jackson is so hot and cold that it leaves Andi confused at times and she doesn't know what to do about it, but she thinks she can break that barrier that keeps him from being the nice Jackson that she knows he can be.

They both need to break their walls in order to make it work between them. They have to overcome their pasts that seem to keep them apart, but it's been really hard for them to work on that. How will they manage to break their walls and make it work? They both go to therapy and it so happens that they have the same doctor! Can this doctor help them see that they can be good together and should do whatever it takes to make it work?

I can't express how hot the chemistry is with these two, they don't seem to have a problem when it comes to the scorching hot sex they have, it makes your underwear sizzle when reading these scenes!!

Loved each and every character in this book. They each add to this story and it makes it much more exciting and interesting.

This was a sexy, and heartwarming book that makes you feel like you need to sit on the edge of your seat when reading it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book.

I am looking forward to reading about Pepper and Jordan and Olive and Brayden. I have to say that if I loved this story between Andi and Jackson.....then, I'm sure to love the stories between her two best friends.

Kristi, you did a beautiful job with this story and I'm about to devour the next two novels!!

Definitely 5 stars for sure.

I read this book as part of the Alphas on Top anthology & honestly, I figured these last couple of stories would be throw-aways. But I loved this one, have no idea why the ratings aren't higher! The subject matter is fairly dark which I loved. Andi gets out of work early one day & walks in on her fiance in a compromising position - seems so cliche. What makes this book intriguing is that the present time for Andi is alternated with a chapter of her past showing little by little how she dealt with Brayden's unfaithfulness - just a hint, she didn't deal well at all, she was devastated! After a time she becomes a completely different Andi, very jaded, sleeping around for a weekend of sex with random men. Her weekend deal sounds pretty good to Jackson though & after one weekend they are both very reluctant to end their romance. Andi is fresh out of college & starting a new job which leads to some major surprises! And it proves that Andi has the worst luck imaginable. If we thought Andi's past was brutal it doesn't hold a candle to what happened to Jackson. It seems that Jackson & Andi have more in common than we thought, but can two completely damaged people be together & help each other heal or will they just tear each other apart with insecurities? There is no doubt that their physical connection is totally hot - for a while when they couldn't say the words to show the affection they have for one another, they speak through sex. OK I can deal with that! :) I loved Pepper & Olive, Andi's two roommates, & I can't wait to read more about them!

What a brilliant debut novel for K Webster. I was completely intrigued from the first page. I absolutely devoured this book.

Broken follows the story of Andi and Jackson. Andi is living a very promiscuous life. It's a weekend thing for her, that's all. No commitment, no hearts involved, just sex. This is all due to a past Andi is trying desperately to avoid happening again. She intends to protect her heart.

Enter Jackson Compton.....

Jackson is unpredictable with a horrible temper, but oh so sexy. He has sex appeal dripping off of him from the very beginning. Jackson too, has a past he is trying to keep his heart guarded against. He also intends to protect his heart.

They decide to play Andi's game of just a weekend fling and what an amazing weekend it is. But come Monday when Andi starts her new job at Compton Enterprises, she is less than thrilled to find that one of her bosses is Jackson himself. This does not sit well with either of them. And if that's not bad enough, enter Andi's Ex Bray. He also begins to work at Compton Enterprises.

Together Andi and Jackson need to be able to work through the walls they have each put up. They have to either overcome the horrible past each of them is trying to hide from. They both want to so badly, but overcoming a past that cut so deep...may not be that easy.

The chemistry between these two is HOT! The one thing that they have no problem with is the unbelievable sex that they have. Let me tell you...it is melt your panties HOT!!!

"Andi, you are amazing. You're like my very own drug. No matter how many times we do this, I can't get enough of you"

Along with Andi we are introduced to her two best friends, Pepper and Olive. Pepper is a bitch that completely speaks her mind. She loves Andi and will do anything to make sure that she is not hurt in anyway. Olive is shy and definitely has a past of her own that she is trying to overcome. The girls all live together and the friendship they have is beautiful. I loved how they all have their own place in their friendship. I absolutely laughed out loud many times with the way they are together. They have a bond that is truly special.

Jackson has his brother Jordan, co-owner of Compton Enterprises and Andi's other boss. Jordan is sweet and caring, the complete opposite of Jackson. He tries to keep his brother in line. Jackson also has a best friend Ian, who owns the bar that they often visit.

I love all of the characters. Each one adds to the story and makes it that much more amazing. If I could be friends with this group...I would say...where should I sign! They kept me laughing and showed how to love fiercely.

Broken definitely was a book I could not put down. It is sexy, heart breaking, heartwarming and sit on the edge of your seat book. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book.

A solid 5 stars for sure.

I look forward to the next book in this series from this very talented author.

I received a copy of this story for an honest review for Paranormal Romance & Authors That Rock!

Once you have been broken, can you ever put your life back together enough to feel whole again? That’s the question asked in Broken by K. Webster. In equal turns sad and hopeful, hot and sweet, Broken is a great start to a new series. I enjoyed the read and thought it gave a new spin on the somewhat traditional story of a young woman trying to rebuild her life after a devastating betrayal.

Andi’s life was destroyed when she walked in on her fiancé Bray having sex with another woman right before graduation. All of her hopes, dreams, and potential happiness were obliterated. In an attempt to regain some sense of power and to move forward, Andi spends her weekends playing a dangerous game. She’ll go home with any guy and rock their world, but just for three nights. After the allotted time - no dates, no phone calls, no follow-up.

When Jackson hears Andi proposing her game to a stranger in his friends bar, he’s more than willing to step up and play. Jackson has his own share of personal demons, so a limited time hottie with no strings sounds perfect. Neither anticipated that beyond the hot physical connection they would start feeling a strong emotional pull. When fate throws the two back together after the games completion, Andi and Jackson must decide if they want to try for something real.

“I don’t want it to go away. Nothing feels right unless I am with you.”

Overall Broken was a quality read and I would recommend checking it out. Author Webster approaches the story in a unique way that I really loved. Instead of giving a long drawn out back-story, Webster keeps Andi and Jackson living in the present and as they deal with their issues, she inserts small flash backs to illustrate what originally broke them and caused them to respond the way they did to a situation. The flashes to the “dark days” made me smile when Andi and Jackson made attempts to find happiness together.

Broken is the first book in the Breaking the Rules series. It will be followed by Wrong which is scheduled for release early this spring. Wrong will focus on the relationship between Andi’s best-friend Pepper and Jackson’s brother Jordan. The third book in the series will be Scarred and is scheduled for late spring/early summer. Scarred will tell the story of Andi’s roommate Olive and Andi’s former fiancé Bray. I enjoyed Broken so much I’ll be ear-marking my calendar to keep track of those releases.

Check out Broken, I think you’ll like it.

Broken is a story of – yes, two broken people who met in a very unusual circumstances, started a game they can never seem to finish, as they were hooked with each other, and fell in love. It’s mostly in Andi’s voice, with Jackson’s voice inserting by the end part of the novel which made me more understand what in the world is wrong with him. He can be sweet, then suddenly he’s cold. It’s killing Andi (and me!).

Andi and him were betrayed by people they love and trusted most. They dealt with it differently, but still suffered a profound lost they never thought they would find someone they could trust with their hearts again. Good thing, Andi has Pepper and later, Olive. They’re great friends, especially Pepper who knocks some senses into her most of the time, even though she doesn’t heed most of her advices. At least she tries.

If Andi had once been hurt, and her heart broken, she’s very careful now. She begins to have some rules. And she was very keen on following it all the time, until Jackson came along. He was something different, and her game had excite him. Although he too has some issues, and baggage he keeps inside him. Andi was almost willing to change the rules of her game, but with the mixed signals he’s sending her – would it be worth it? Not to mention, an old unwanted flame suddenly came out of nowhere and was pushed back into her life. (Which makes everything cutthroat exciting!)

You are in for a short, VERY HOT, SENSUAL, STEAMY, read. I felt like its mocking me on Valentine’s Day – while Andi was getting the best sex of her life and having multiple orgasms I have no one (hehe, kidding!). Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading Andi and Jackson’s road to recovery and to each other. Jackson may have made a lot of wrong turns, but he made it to the destination. I can’t wait for the next two in the series: Pepper’s and Olive – most especially Pepper’s!!!!

This book in a word is FAN-FRIGGING-TASTIC (Yes I know it’s not a real word). Wow did I adore Andi. I am such a fan of books where the female lead is literally knocked to the ground and makes an epic comeback. I wanted to be friends with the characters in these books. Pepper and Olive are such loyal and amazing friends to Andi. Especially Pepper. Pepper is so fierce and protective of Andi, yet she tells Andi like it is. Pepper is not a fan of Andi’s weekend romps and she tells her every chance she gets. Pepper is bad ass and I cannot wait to learn more about her. But back to the book at hand…… This book moves along at a comfortable pace and I had a hard time putting it down (so I really didn’t). That brings me to Jackson. Oh Jackson, Jackson, Jackson. The man comes on to Andi with the force of a freight train in the bar (High five to K. Webster for that first meeting at Dempsey’s). Good god their first encounter was intense. Jackson is a force to be reckoned with. We even get to meet Jackson’s brother Jordan who is quite funny and charming but in a completely different way than his brother. I don’t want to give away too much though.

I loved this story of two “Broken” individuals finding passion, trust and ultimately love. They both have so many obstacles to overcome, namely Brayden and Nadia, in order to truly be with one another. It’s lust filled sex, insecurities, forgiveness, and finding peace within yourself. Oh and I cannot forget the humor. There is plenty of it. Moments I found myself sending a message to Ms. Webster to let her know how amazingly funny certain moments were. I would also like to point out that the moments of flashbacks in the book added so much to the characters journey. They perfectly flowed with the story and only added more depth to Andi and Jackson.

I look forward to more from this group of characters. They were so well developed and strong that I am sure I will be stalking a certain authors Facebook page to see when the next two books are coming out. This is a fantastic read!!

“Broken” by K. Webster has everything I like about a contemporary adult romance novel. Strong characters, especially the main male & female leads, strong plot, super-hot sex and relatively believable chain of events.

Ok, loved, loved LOVED Andie and Jackson…after both suffer gut-wrenching heartbreak, and wading through the darkness that those betrayals left behind, they both come away stronger in spite of being broken. I wanted to totally high-five Andie for not only finding what helped her heal, but taking her own power back and finding confidence in herself and re-discovering her sexuality. Andie knew what she wanted and set rules for herself and for anyone else that chose to play her game. Some may fault her for her method of healing… but I admired that she never took advantage of anyone else and was straight-up and honest with what she wanted and more importantly, didn’t want…yeah, Andie called it a “game”, but at least she made sure others knew exactly what the rules were BEFORE they played.

Jackson…well, what can I say, but holy heck, that is one hot sexy man! Even dealing with his own broken heart, he still realizes that he can heal from it and find someone special again. Jackson is the perfect compliment for Andie, because they’ve both been betrayed, it’s easier for them to realize when they inadvertently cause hurt to each other and act quickly to make it right.

K. Webster… you’ve really hit the mark with “Broken” and I’m tremendously impressed that this is your debut novel; wonderful job, well written and extremely likable and relatable characters! I’m truly looking forward to reading about Jordan & Pepper and Olive and Ian.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph! That’s what my Irish aunt says when she gets all riled up over something, and I am SO riled up over this book! This book was scorching – I mean, it was so hot I’m surprised my iPad didn’t catch fire at some points. I sat beside the air conditioner for most of it, Need I say more? I am also obsessed with the contrast in this book; it is playful and witty, while still capturing the raw devastation of heartbreak. Needless to say, I couldn’t get enough of Broken - I devoured it in one sitting, and I was still starving for more! (Lucky for me, there’s still Bray and Jordan’s books to read - *fist pump*!)

“Finally, I couldn’t stand it any longer. I needed to see the face of my lover. Spinning around before he could stop me, I drank in his beauty. He was stuffing my panties into his expensive suit pocket. When his brown eyes met mine, my knees weakened a bit. Oh my God. Tall, dark, and handsome was the understatement of the year, Pepper. This man was a god. His longish dark brown hair was perfectly styled on his head, making him look very GQ. Chocolate brown eyes studied mine as I greedily looked him over. The five-o’ clock shadow on his face was sexy as hell. And his lips. God, I couldn’t wait to put mine on them. The nice suit showcased a very tall, fit man.”

Jackson Compton… my, oh my, Jackson Compton! Wait, I already said that.. Sorry, I was distracted the smoldering yummyness that is Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome. The man drips sex, DRIPS SEX! But he’s also the walking, talking version that Katy Perry song, ‘Hot and Cold’. Not that it really matters though, because whether it’s Hot Jackson or Cold Jackson in the house, you’d still Whiskey Yankee him without hesitation. Whiskey Yankee him?.. Would ya do him? C’mon ladies, keep up! All sexiness aside, he’s also educated, successful and loves his Mama (Okay, I guess that’s sexy too! Oops). He is wrestling his own demons throughout the book, and it occasionally it makes him act like a bit of a douche canoe. But when you find out the reason why he is the way he is, you’ll want nothing more than to hold that sexy as sin body, and tell him everything will be okay.

“Every since the day I found Brayden cheating on me, something in me snapped. Gone was the blond-haired innocent. Gone was my optimism. My outlook on life and love had been ruined the moment I saw that girl’s big tits bouncing as she rode my man.”

Andi the ‘Man Killer’ heroine was phenomenal. I rooted for her and I loved her. I adored getting to see both sides of Andi – her Blonde Bombsell side, which is feisty and accepting of her ‘inner skank’ and the broken, betrayed soul that we see during the dark days flashbacks. Seeing both sides of Andi made her feel dynamic and real. Her longing, confusion and angst were palpable and you hurt for her. Not all breakups are soothed by Ben and Jerry; some take you down for the count. Well, our Andi goes down hard and it’s not pretty. She’s band aiding her relationship insecurities with new weekenders and sexcapades. All the while managing to get by with a little help from her friends (unintentional Beatles shout out!), and an exceptionally wise, sometimes annoyingly so, Dr. Sweeney. But she meets her match in Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome and it makes for a sizzling read of epic proportions!

Let’s touch on Andi’s friends for a moment because they are fan-friggin’-tastic! Pepper, “the Victoria’s Secret model dressed as a nerd” will slay you with her ice queen attitude and unintentional hilarity. While Olive, “the leggy chocolate goddess”, will worm her way into your heart with her sweet demeanor. Combine these two with Jackson’s besties… Ian Dempsy, the deliciously tattooed Irish bar owner, and Jordan Compton, the charming older brother… And they all make for quite the appealing riot.

“You guys have had your hearts torn from your chests and are still surviving”

I was sucked in by the dramatic flair of this book – flying off the handle tempers, raging jealousy and of course, a love triangle (what’s more dramatic than that!). But, I also enjoyed watching the progression and growth of two broken souls who find a solace and home in each other. Oh, and like I said before… The off the charts scorching sex was pretty damn good too.

Get yourself an iced glass of whatever tickles your fancy (you’ll need something to cool you off) and fire up that iPad, because you won’t want to miss out on the action in this book!

I really love the girl friends in this book.

Andi has the perfect life. She is about to graduate with an Architecture degree and marry her-All American baseball star-fiancé. When she catches him in bed with another woman, her world is turned upside down. Left to pick up the pieces of her shattered life, she takes on a new persona—a promiscuous one. This new role protects her heart from ever being broken again.

Andi now lives by a set of rules. The game? Sex with a new pawn every weekend. Every Friday, she sets her sight on a new sexy, successful man to play along—no strings attached, please. When Monday rolls around, she kicks them to the curb and moves on. It has helped her get through the pain of her past—that is, until she meets Jackson.

The mysterious Jackson is excited to play her game. He too has had his heart broken in the past and isn’t looking for a repeat. Eventually, hearts get involved and Andi wonders if the game is still worth playing.

Will she look for a new pawn or will she break the rules with Jackson?

Broken is the first book in the Breaking the Rules series by K Webster. A book about two broken people who finally allow each other into each other's hearts and help each other to heal.

Andi thought she had the perfect life, only to catch her fiancé in bed with another women. Then her life spiral out of control. Starting a game that she only the weekend with a guy and moves on. That is until she meets Jackson.

Jackson tall, dark and handsome is also broken, he see Andi at a club and hears her explain her game, he wants in thinking he can handle just a weekend, as the weekend end both realise they want more but want admit it to each other.

You will fall in love with both Andi and Jackson, they both have secrets and both find it hard to open up, but as you read through their story you will feel their pain and understand the reluctance for them to move on. The chemistry between them is magic and they sizzle the pages, they also learn to heal with the help of those around them.

This is not a stand alone book you do need to read the second and third book to see how this relationship progress, you want be disappointed I gave this book 5 stars.

I have to say that Andi’s way of “dealing and healing” unsafe sex life worried me. I know it’s fiction, but still…

Anywho!

I liked the format of this book- present with a snippet of the “dark days” to end each chapter. Made it impossible to not turn the page. Very effective story telling.

Intense push and pull between the characters. So much steam and just flat out sexy times :)

Jackson and Andi both have an intense need for control as well as not trusting anyone. Both keep themselves apart, aloof, and it works. Until it doesn’t. They both are stupid and run, and then run right back. The reasons for their actions are very different, but the way they heal themselves and each other was beautiful. The passion and intensity works for them–and makes them fight for what they both need.

Pretty wonderful supporting cast as well. Pepper is the kind of best friend you can only wish for. Jordan- he is a hottie, but I imagine he also has his secrets. Olive and Bray-want their story as well.

Looking forward to more from K. Webster :)

Broken by K. Webster is her debut novel and it is phenomenal! I absolutely loved it!! Broken is a fast read that is funny, sexy, and a hot read that will have you staying up late to finish the book in one sitting. This is definitely a one-click book. I can’t to read more from this series and from K. Webster!!

Andi is completely in love with her fiancé, Brayden, and her life seems perfect. That is until she walks in on him having sex with another woman. She is shattered and doesn’t think she can go on. Luckily, she has an amazing best friend, Pepper, who refuses to let her waste away and helps her get help. Now Andi is trying to pick up all the pieces of her heart and regain her life.
To protect her heart, Andi sets rules for her lovers…three nights only, no commitment and on Monday they go back to their own lives. This has helped her move on from Brayden and protect from being hurt again. That is until she meets Jackson. Their connection is immediate and they can’t get enough of each other, but can she break her rules or will she throw him on out when the weekend is over?

Jackson has his own painful past and he is excited by Andi and her set of rules. He is all for her game. Jackson is mysterious and can be hot and cold, but neither of them open up about their past…it is against the rules. Will they give into their hearts or will they stick to the rules?

I really enjoyed that Broken is written in the present time, but you get flash backs at the end of every chapter into Andi and Jackson’s past so you understand what they have been through and what makes them broken. I loved that Andi is not an innocent little angel and that she has problems and dealt with them in somewhat of a realistic manner. Maybe not everyone deals the way she did, but being heartbroken can cause anyone to do things that are out of the norm for them to try to deal with the pain. I felt like Andi was completely real and the reader could relate to her.

Jackson is all alpha male who screams sex on a stick! From the first moment you will fall for him and can’t wait to learn more about him and what secrets he has hidden.

K. Webster did a great job at not only having the reader connect to the main characters, but also secondary characters. I can’t wait to read more to learn more about them. I really enjoyed that I could sit down and read a story that made me laugh and smile for the characters. Congratulation to K. Webster on an amazing debut book!

Eeeeekkkk this book is so hot !!!!!... so good! i loved it!!!

K Webster writes a sexy debut novel that should be one-clicked by anyone who loves a sizzling read! It's fun, sexy and had me turning pages until the very end. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series.

I really can't fault this book. It takes you back in between the chapters to Andi's darker days and makes you feel what she is feeling and you really get to understand why she has decided to change herself the way she has, but honestly, I love her.
But Jackson - oh my - Jackson... this guy just drips sex! You will love him, I promise!

I don't really like giving reviews where I go into the story and explain what parts I liked etc, I really just want you all to read it but this book was sent to me when I really needed a read that didn't have me thinking too much, I wanted to sit back with a glass of wine, just relax and dive into a book that I enjoyed - and this book was just perfect. I really didn't want to put it down until I finished it.

Congratulations to K Webster on such a fantastic debut novel. I am so excited to read the rest of this series!!!!

I give this a 3.5 fangs /stars.

Although I enjoyed the storyline overall, it being a plot line of crushed soul striving to find their way in the dating world after being broken and finally finding love where you least expect it is not new in romance books, and the storyline felt disjointed to me, having these flash backs interrupting the flow of the plot, ( my opinion, some other readers may like that) it took me well into the middle of the book to get used to these... Although they gave back ground to what happened to Andi after her shock of catching her fiancée in bed with someone else, I think most of this could have been in either the prologue or in the first chapter and not in bits thrown at the end of each chapter, or done in a way that flowed better. But saying that, it is a debut novel and all authors grow as they perfect their craft and by the time the little bits of back story happen for Jackson l had got used to them, so I will keep an eye out for book two.

Now what I DID like is that although this is a trilogy, the books are about one couples story, giving the reader an ending and the author has already got me interested in her other supporting characters in this book, the characters were introduced and described in a way that delivered a well rounded cast of characters, And I'm already interested in Pepper and Olives storyline and what may transpire in their books.

I didn't pick up many grammatical errors other than one sentence that could do with a re look as it doesn't make much sense in its current version ( on the copy I was given to review anyway- maybe this has already been changed, but if not then this is the bit I mean...
95% through, on my kindle/ iPad loc 2293 of 2409 the sentence reads [quote] if we GIVE PAY him what he feels owed,[unquote] one of these words needs removing 'give or pay' )

I read this book in one day ( interrupted by the chores of feeding a family!) so over all I read it in about 6 hours, keeping me up till 1am as I wanted to find out if Andi and Jackson could work out the issues they had and commit to each other. So in that way ms Webster has kept me entertained and that is after all what reading a book of this genre is about.

So in finishing I would like to add I will be keeping an eye out on ms Webster and waiting to see what she has in store for the other two couples.

This book has erotic scenes, so I would not recommend it to those readers who are under 18 or those who don't want that type of graphic description in a book.

eh, this book was just okay for me. Though I would love to read about Jordan, if it's the same setup as this book I'd probably pass. It's a quick, fast read and that's because this book has no depth. You have Andi, the female who was so depress when she caught her fiance Brayden cheating on her that she drunk herself into depression and use sex as her relief from grievance. During her weekender rendezvous she met Jackson, from the get go it's like their relationship went from zero to a full on relationship without ANY conversation. Each chapter begins with a fight and ends with sex, I mean this is with EVERY chapter. The relationship was built on sex and that pretty much sums up the book

Dear Jackson,

Let's. BANG.

Love,

Ella

Ok, ok... That's not my review! But seriously- if Jackson exists, I'd be SUPER excited if he'd call me into his office. I'm pantiless and ready for work....

Alright- now the review.

I loved Andi and her outlook on life, even when she was a mess. From the very beginning, Jackson is like hot liquid alpha male injected right into her veins. LOVE that. I loved the flashbacks at the end of each chapter so that we got to see Andi's descent into and climb out of depression. I love Andi's friend Pepper- which is great because she's the next book up!!

Jackson's issue... really made me sad. I felt for him. Giving nothing away, I will say that his hobby was SO FLIPPING HILARIOUS that I almost wet myself. Good one, Kristi!!

Jackson & Andi have chemistry for days, right from the very beginning. Kristi knows how to write hot sex.

Loved this book- and so will you.

LOVE the hot cover, too.
