I love reading this book as my daughter is preparing to welcome twins into her life. It helps me feel connected to her and I am learning a lot of things that are new in the 34 years since she was born!

This book was very helpful. Easy to read with the things I really want to know like, what baby gear you'll really need, what strollers work better for twins, etc. I'm still expecting so I'll see how all the advice applies in true life after my girls are born but I am very glad I came across this book!

I don’t recommend this book because the majority of the information is the same as in my other baby books. Seriously, just get a good pregnancy/childcare book and think “but you have to do it double!” And that’s the same as this book. I didn’t find a lot of it particularly helpful (outside of chapter 11 abou travel) and most of the info is the same as any baby book.

Having a baby is a challenge in itself, but having twins can be overwhelming. This book was the best resource, go-to, and checklist. Real life perspective combined with professional advice and recommendations! BEST TWIN book out there!

This book was a waste of money and (precious) time. It’s basic information that anyone could think up even if they’d never had one child, much less two. Oh really, I’ll need help? And having my mom help might be more emotionally fraught but also probably cheaper? And a college student works for less than an experienced nanny? Thanks for the amazing insider information. This book could be reduced to a listicle and actually feels like reading a puff piece article that someone turned into a book. Also, I’m grumpy and having twin infants sucks. I can’t believe I spent any of my scant personal time reading about what this woman put in her diaper bag (spoiler alert: lots of diapers). I wish I’d spent my money on having Postmates bring me a sandwich.

Wite something for average middle class people. After reading the chapter on strollers, car seats, etc. She recommends strollers 500+ dollars. She has maybe 3 sentences on car seats which wasn't helpful at all and she recommends having bouncy chairs on every floor.. Really? She seems high maintenance and the humor is cheesy. Information provided not that helpful

I found this book to me geared towards first time moms only. Most of her advice isnt helpful if you have older kids. Also, her breastfeeding advice isn't very good and isn't very positive or encouraging. I think this book should be read as one first time moms perspecrive after having twins, not as a knowledgeable expert on having twins. I do love the website Twiniveriaty and the blog though!

Book really helped me with some questions I had- first pregnancy and the only one in our families to have twins. Def. answered my question about strollers.

The further my pregnancy i go, the more I think I will refer back to it.

Great investment

I found that there was little information that related to twins only issues. If you already have a child this book will not answer questions regarding the actual differences between raising one versus two kids or how will you deal with bringing twins home to a sibling. Also, I wish I read the reviews that said that the whole book was one big ad for author's website. I didn't like that at all! The author tries to be all encompassing and often ends up contradicting herself in the same paragraph (like when she talk about nanny cam). It was a light read though, took me just a few days to read the whole book. What I am thankful for is that, because this book is so broad, it raised more questions for me than provided answers, so it made me look deeper for additional information/resources and sparked some interesting conversations with my spouse.

I had mixed feelings on this book. The gear lists are great, though it seems like things like stroller recommendations will get very quickly out of date. I loved that it was a quick read, offered a lot of really helpful information, and that the author seemed to try her best to be inclusive. However, her messages were often so mixed as to be directly contradictory. In the same paragraph she calls nanny-cams "not a bad idea" and "generally not a good idea". She has a nice little section for lgbt parents, but spends the rest of the book referring to "your husband."

While I was pleasantly surprised that she included plenty of accurate information on breastfeeding and even a little box on tandem baby-wearing, most of her advice will not be well received by the "crunchier" parents among us. She recommends feeding schedules starting right away and is a CIO advocate. That's not how I raised my daughter, and while she is understanding that some people are against it for ethical reasons (she doesn't go into evidence-based reasons for either camp) she comes across a bit dismissive: "you may want to read on anyway for when your plans change." Overall it seems very geared towards first time parents, not just first-time multiples parents.

Honestly though, I've read enough parenting books to know that no one author is going to agree with me on every single issue, so that's not my biggest frustration with this book. What I don't like is the Constant. Freaking. Plugging. of her website! One or two mentions would be fine, but again and again I hear about the amazing community and blah blah blah. I already bought your book, stop selling me stuff.

In conclusion, this book was about 50% helpful, 50% frustrating. I'll see if I sing another tune when my babies arrive, perhaps I won't laugh aloud at her suggestion to hire a professional organizer.

There is really nothing wrong with this book in itself. But I read eight books about having twins and none of them remotely prepared me for the amount of work twins are. I love my daughters to death but after having twins I think a single baby would be a cake walk. There is no book I could find that really prepares you for your experience and I doubt such a book exist.

Enjoyed it so much. Pregnant with twins this book really provided an intro to everything “twins”. It was a great introduction. Great purchase for a woman who just funds out she’s pregnant with twins. I didn’t look at it once I had my babies. Good chuckles and good information. Being pregnant with twins is so special and you are gonna turn into a super mom. A twin mom deserves all the books she wants. The journey is difficult so read whatever makes you happy.

This book is like having your best friend, your mom (on her non-annoying days) and a parenting expert rolled into one chatty, non-judgemental package. It's also an easy read, which is key for the sleep deprived parent. I don't have my own twins, but this book is on my must buy gift list for any friends and family who do!

Twins may not come with instructions but boy is this book close to it! Natalie Diaz goes above and beyond to explain to you what it's like from expecting twins to daily scheduling and feedings with no fluff. Book is full of great recommendations and checklists. A must read for anyone having twins!

This book is a lifesaver ! I cannot say enough how helpful this book is. I read it before my babies and it helped me feel so prepared. I brought it to the hospital with me and found comfort yet again. Now that my twins are 4 months I find myself going back to the book again and again. It has really great advice, is a quick read and is funny! A must buy

A quick, enjoyable read. This book offered practical tips that seem like they'll be very helpful once my twins arrive, and didn't leave me terrified. I can see myself returning to this book many times to refresh as my babies progress through their first year.

What a find! Natalie Diaz offers tons of advice- so much of what I needed to hear. But this is not just advice as in "you MUST do this and you MUST do that". After reading other parent to be manuals I notice everyone has their own strong opinion and I was confused more so than relieved to read other books. What to do? Who is right? Who is wrong? But FINALLY here is an author who recognizes not all families are the same....and I enjoyed reading her thoughts, advice and practical idea's. I was not intimidated. I read the book and felt more confident in the sense that not all problems have just one solution! And what a breath of fresh air to read and also laugh as Mrs. Diaz has a way with words that made me smile more than once! She is knowledgeable AND hilarious- a WIN WIN!

The book is already at my bedside as I can foresee myself picking it up daily..lucky to have this guide as my ' go to'. Having twins can be a stressful and scary experience! Here is someone who knows this, survived it and lives to tell the tale. And she wants ME to know all will be ok. There is help if I need it. I know what help to ask for. I can handle any and all situations that come my way. I can DO IT! I felt like I made a friend after reading the book....an EXRIODINARY friend who has a clear point of view and gives advice I trust.

"What to Do When You're Having Two: The Twins Survival Guide from Pregnancy Through the First Year" is a GOLD MINE of information...but my only question I have now is what happens after the first year! Natalie Diaz? If you are out there? How about what to do after the 1st year till the kids are at least 18? LOL! I can't wait to be able to buy your next book. I need your priceless HOW TO'S to continue!

This book is amazing. It's chock full of important information and advice, written with the expertise only another twin mom can understand, and it's an easy read. Love it. If you are having twins, get this book!

I found the guidance from this book very comforting, especially as a first time parent expecting twins. Natalie does a fantastic job of covering topics that are specific for twins and giving realistic advice. I would recommend this for anyone having twins or even triplets (or more!)

Anyone expecting twins should read this book. It is very clearly and concisely written which helps calm the fear and trepidation of expecting two babies! While other books left me feeling anxious, this book made me feel like I could handle this monumental task.
