Fantastic book. The first chapter was a bit slow, but once it began rolling it never stopped. If you have read developmental books like this in the past, you'll find no new concepts, but you will find a great delivery and awesome messages. This book is mixed with powerful steps to achieve any goal with first hand stories told by the athletes who achieved them. Parents, coaches, athletes, non-athletes.... Anyone can benefit from reading this book.

Good book if you love sports. The author uses lots of stories from major sport people to motivate the reader. If your into sports and are an athlete you will like this book. Unfortunately I'm neither so was hard to finish the book.

This book provides you with a ton of thought evoking strategies and has excellent tips to improve your performance. This is not only for athletes. The lessons in this book can relate to sports, business, and life in general. Get into your gold medal mindset by buying this book and take it as slow as you need to. There is no rush in reading this book really fast. Take your time and enjoy the heck out of it!

Many tools or techniques in the book that help me in my sport of MMA. Almost like a blueprint to be the best you can be that you can look over on a regular basis. If you consider yourself a true student of the game this book with help you train the most under utilized muscle in the body in sports- the mind.

Very easy read with expert advice and authentic ideas. Mental training that can be applied to athletics but also in the workforce. The book is designed to be a quick read with small bits of valuable information that can be applied and built on for the next lesson. Highly recommend.

An excellent book by a leading sports psychologist, Dr. Jim Afremow. There's a lot of content in this book, but it's written so well that the concepts are broken down into useful chunks of information you can learn and apply. We can all better learn how to develop a championship mindset, elevate our performance, and get the results we're looking for. That's what this book will help us do. It's educational, inspirational, and a very practical, useable guide for the peak performer or those seeking to become peak performers.
Essential reading to develop the mind of a champion for all coaches, athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and competitors.
And, it's a book you can apply immediately to elevate your game.
Read it, apply the information, and take your performance to the next level!
Highly recommended for anyone wanting to improve their potential.

One of the most overlooked aspects of my training was the mental side of it. As a "weekend warrior" The Champion's Mind" has given me the mental edge needed to push through those hard training sessions, motivate myself when I didn't feel like training and to not beat myself up when I have an off day.

This book has me "thinking gold" and training like a champion.

This book is a collection of little motivational tips that we've always heard growing up - Keep going, be strong, win the day, etc. There's no meat to this book. It's just a book of little simple, positive thinking tips. Even the few pages that are an "in depth" look at the success of a few highlighted athletes all say the same thing: I knew I could do it, I thought positive, I believed in myself, trained hard, and won Olympic Gold. Very disappointed in this book.

Only a few pages, the first chapters were enough to change my way of thinking...Simple words and tips, clear explanations and the most important thing, a very motivational book. For life! I recomend it 100%.

This book was not what I expected and was disappointing. Very little depth. It seemed more like a collection of quips and quotes with little follow up. The one positive was that I can use it as a source to look elsewhere for more detail.

I hate giving something a bad review but this book is a joke. I'm just going to give a few quotes from the book to give an idea about you are in for: "To perform at a champion's level, think of gold as your official color of excellence." "Effort and work are needed for improvement and results." "Working on weaknesses in your game may not always be fun, but its the fastest path to improvement." "Do not simply drag a down mood into your performance. Put a big confident smile on your face instead!".
