This book reminds me of the movie Magnolia. A semi-interesting story about unusual "characters", punctuated by a highly implausible, out-of-the-blue ending. The innocent, direct, and always to-the point, Trevor, a pre-teen boy, decides to try a simple experiment to change the world. It's the kind of sweetly optimistic answer to the world's problems that many Americans will immediately take to heart. Sentiment and logic are two mighty different things, my friends, and this idea isn't likely to work any better than good cop John C. Reilly's bumbling attempt to reform coke-head Melora Walters in Magnolia. There are no frogs in this book, but there's enough croaking at the end to make you think so.

Well written story with interesting characters. Hard to say much about this book, apart from the fact that it was a lovely read, without spoiling the story and giving away too much about the characters. Loved this book but keep some tissues handy.

I think this book should be translated into all languages and become required reading. It is brilliant -- an excellent story with a simple-but-complicated message. If only we would all try to Pay It Forward.

This is a wonderful book for young readers that helps teach about love and kindness. My 7 year old granddaughter had to have this book because they were unable to finish it before school was out. One of the best books I have ever bought for her.

I purchased this book for my grandson as a summer reading for every end of a school year I purchase a book for summer reading and this is the book I purchased for him. He is 14 years old and this book was recommended for that age group. I asked him how he liked it and he said he read it twice and gave it a thumbs up. He also passed it to his sister who is 16 and she enjoyed it also. So I guess if you are a young teen or have someone in that age group its a good book!
