My daughters' and I both really enjoy this collection of stories. I wish the Berenstains (or publishers) would put out more collections. My one daughter takes this to bed with her just about every night.

As the reviewer who made the one star rated review said, I'll add to that as well.

Growing up in the 1980's most (if not all) of us remember it being The Berenstein Bears (pronounced like beren-steeen), not this Berenstain, said like "Stain". The people who do actually swear it is BerenSTAin usually are younger than about 30 or didnt have the books in the 70's/80's but got them closer to late 90's. A HUGE amount of ppl ages 30+ absolutely will swear on their life they know it was Berenstein. Many even recall picturing papa bear with a beer stein in his hand which you would never do with the name ending in Stain.
The Family stated their name and book titles never changed, which is true.
Why is this important? It's not the only memory that appears to be "wrong" that these ppl all share.

Something very very strange has happened or is happening that requires people pay attention and research this.

PS if you find your old Berenstein Bears book in your moms Attic or basement that you Know will say stein, wrongo! It will have the stain ending.
In the 80's theme song when they sing it, it's now Berenstain and sounds Soo weird!!

Nothing against the seller. The book itself is a bit deceiving. The cover shows the Berenstain Bear illustrations we are used too. Inside the book it is really old animation and very basic story-telling. The newer books have better animation and writing. They don't even call eachother the correct names. Papa Bear is sometimes Dad, Brother Bear is "Small Bear", and there is no mention of Sister.

It's still a fine book, but not what I was expecting.
A (Mercifully) Short Book about a (Really) Big Problem :: The Inside Story of How Wall Street and Washington Fought to Save the Financial System--and Themselves :: Inside the Doomsday Machine (movie tie-in) (Movie Tie-in Editions) :: The Night Listener :: The First Forty-nine Stories with a Brief Preface by the Author

This hardcover contains The Berenstain Bears Go to the Doctor, The Berenstain Bears and the Messy Room, The Berestain Bears in the Dark, The Berenstain Bears and the Sitter, and The Berenstain Bears' New Baby. It's a nice set because each of the stories targets a particular common fear for young children. Lovely illustrations, warm text, fun for the whole family.

This book, along with “The Berenstain Bears Storybook Treasury,” is one of my kiddo's favorite night time story books. Each story is the right length for reading one or two at night time. The bears are super cute, the stories have morals, and my 3 1/2 year old likes it.

The book is not a board book, but even still is pretty sturdy for a regular hardback, and has stood up to a bit of abuse from my kid.

Definitely recommend.

Beautifully written books that are a treasure to own, My kids and grandkids grew up reading these delightful tales. The stories can be read and enjoyed over and over. What a wonderful way to introduce children to a love of reading.

The Berenstain Bears were favorites of my sons growing up, so purchased this for our first grandson who already likes books. This hardcover version with 5 stories is very nice and should hold up well. Arrived in good shape and on time.

This book has 5 Berenstain Bear stories inside. My 3 yr old daughter loves this book. We have at least 100 children's books & this is her favorite. When we read, this is the first book she runs to get. She carries it around the house so she can look at the pictures & when we travel this book has to come with her. I'm amazed that it's held her interest for a year, but it has.

The five stories that are included in this book are the perfect "starter set" of Berenstain Bears stories for my 2 1/2 year-old. He loves the characters and really enjoys this book! I like the fact that it's a hardback cover as well; very sturdy, and will hold up to years of use. A very nice collection.

Someone has to say it...

It is not spelled "Berenstain". I have spoken to numerous people about this - we all remember the books with the spelling "Berenstein".

Something unusual is going on here. This makes no sense within the framwork of our current understanding of reality.

That is all. Please return to your life.

Hard cover is great. It has 5 classic Berenstein Bear stories that I remember as a kid. A Berenstein bookmark would set off this product. For the price it's a perfect buy. These stories off great lessons kids love.
