Everyone feels busy, including this author. He poses the really important questions of why you may be too busy. He gives the general principles so that you can ask yourself the hard questions like "Why am I too busy?" And "Who am I trying to please." If you struggle with busyness, and who doesn't, this book is for you.

Love how it is so honest. Prioritizing the right things is the way to go. We can't please everyone. Most busy people try to please everyone, when we truly need to please just The One p; then everything else will follow. Must read!

Kevin's book is biblical and wise, clear and concise, personal and humble, convicting and encouraging. Kevin wrote it to help himself, and in doing so he helped me too! I think this will be a book I return to to make sure my compass is aimed north.

Excellent book with helpful insight from someone who understands the realities of a demanding life and ministry. I also appreciated the needed rebuke and instruction on how to begin correcting my course based on a spiritual foundation rather than another self-help. I highly recommend the book.

I appreciate the author's honesty. I never thought that pastors would deal with the same craziness that most of us deal with. Even the same disillusionment for not gettin "everything" done... see so many issues in the world, so many people that need help, but knowing it is not necessarily my task to help them all... to be concerned and ready to help but not frazzled about not helping everyone. Thanks!

This is a great read. I am particularly impressed by the practicality of the concepts presented. I would recommend this book to every minister, no matter what capacity or role you play, especially to the younger demographic. There is a great need for more 'slow-lane' drivers in today's society.

DeYoung brought up some great points and reminders. I am a crazy busy mom of 4 and work as well. The book is not a magic pill but it helped me to reflect on what is important and where my focus should be. It also is helping me to let go and sit at the feet of Jesus on a regular basis.

Great book with a great conclusion. That what really matters in our busy schedules is to focus on our top priority and that should be Jesus.

Refreshing book on how to manage being busy. You will not find a 5 point plan for managing stress but you will find a guide to focus on what will matter most.

This book really helps you to evaluate the sources of the crazy busy in our lives and to see it for what it is. The adjustment of perspective is very helpful especially since it comes from someone who is in the struggle with the rest of us. This is not a self help book, but a theological look at our tendency to fall to the crazy busy life. Great book, easy to read, and very helpful.

I have been scouring books and resources that will help me manage my work/life (or busyness) better. And I FINALLY found something worthy of reading and re-reading. I'm actually quite excited right now having just finished the kindle version of this book to the extent that I'm writing a review on the store for the first time in so many years. THIS BOOK DESERVES IT! Now, I'm going to check out what resources are available online at crazybusybook.com.

I think Kevin DeYoung did an excellent, well-balanced job at presenting the issues associated with being busy. His conclusion was worth the price of the book. Be busy, do the things that God has called you to do, just don't allow yourself to be so busy that you don't stay connected to Jesus. He should be the first thing. Now, if I can keep that in mind I will be much better off for it.

Crazy Busy is such a practical book on the epidemic of busyness in our culture. However, when I say it is a practical book, I do not mean there is a "7 steps to success" guide or anything of that nature. What is mean is that DeYoung speaks to the heart of several issues we need to protect from ruling our lives and points you to Jesus in the process.

This book was perfect for the members of our Christian men's group - many of them fathers and busy professionals. It gives perspective and context to our busy lives and the priorities that should drive them.

Kevin does not proclaim to have the answer busyness. However he provides some practical tips (like technology sabbaths) mixed with a biblical view of busyness. I'm certainly going to give some of his tips a try.

Dr. DeYoung does a great job in unveiling the serious problem of busyness in our lives. He demonstrates the root of this busyness and ways to slow down and still fulfill what it is we are supposed to do. This is a great read.

DeYoung vulnerably confronts the issue of busyness in our lives by exposing the pride and misguided heart motivations sometimes present in our busyness. He offers practical helps, biblical wisdom, and soul searching questions. I walk away from the book challenged, encouraged, and motivated to make some changes in my own life.
