How to Break an Undead Heart (The Beginner's Guide to Necromancy Book 3)

Wow, I am not sure what I can say about her writing that will make you fall for a wisp of a necromancer with a house for a close friend . . . one that protects her and her friends. This is a well executed plot, with a few twists and turns, many unexpected. For this story, blood IS thicker than water. A must read!

From book 1, I was hooked, and just finishing book 3 , I can honestly say, the twists and turns have made this one story Ill never forget. Whenever book 4 comes out it'll be at the very top to read next. Cant wait to read about Grier, Linus, Wooley, and what happens next.

I rated this book a four because the beginning seemed like the same old song and dance, I should have known better from previous books. While the old comfort was there the twist left me awestruck. I was glad to see the characters grow and the plot kept you guessing. I would definitely recommend this series.

I have read most of Hailey Edwards series but The Necromancy is my favorite!! The third book will take you on a roller coaster ride with Grier from Savannah to Atlanta and back. With her life and heart on the line who can she trust. Can't wait for the next book!!

Hailey Edwards has done it again! Another amazing installation to a great story. The only problem I have ever had with any of her books is being left hanging and waiting for the next book haha!
Grier has had a run of back luck in her life, she is finally getting to a better place and everything crashes around her again.

It was a lot to absorb but then Griers world was just expanded when she went to the city. I think this rounded up many of Griers feelings to set her on a path where she is not constantly in the past. So ready to see what the author does with the new characters and situations.

A fantastic progression to the series. Grier and Linus are so relatable and break the stereotype of pampered privilege. Grier's new security team is a hoot, with tantalizing foreshadowing for the next book. Highly recommend, but keep the tissues close.

This is the third book in one of my favorite series. I love the main character and how she is growing into her new situation. This book had me laughing, crying and ready to slap a character or two. Can’t wait to see what the next book brings. Definitely recommend this series or any series by this author.

A good story, an enjoyable read, well written and well edited. Definitely read books 1 and 2 first, if you haven't. I've really enjoyed every Hailey Edwards book I've read, but there's are definitely my favorites. I can't wait for the next installment.

I loved and hated it! After all Grier did to save Amalie and how Boaz led her on..... I couldn't believe how they betrayed her! I am hoping there will be more books with Grier and Linus (and I hope he doesn't stab her in the back like so many have)!

I truly enjoy this series! The main character is not all powerful and all knowing, she still has flaws! I read these books as ebooks, so not realizing I'm at the end until it's too late. I want to keep reading, keep emerged in these pages!

Just when I thought the series couldn’t get any better, Haley Edwards surprise me again. This book was so good that I couldn’t put it down and ended up staying up all night. The plot twists absolutely blew my mind and I cannot wait to read the next installment.

Just a head's up, don't start this unless you have plenty of time because you won't want to put it down! I'm totally team Linus now . Can't wait for the next book in the series! Thanks for making this a Kindle Unlimited offering.

Here we are with book 3 and it just gets better. The characters are so well done that I cry every single time Grier does. I'm half in love with Linus and can't wait to see what Grier and her pack of pups get into in book 4.

I may have just read the first three books in the last four days. I love this series! The characters are well developed and believable, the storyline never stalled, and the flow of the writing is wonderful.

This is an action packed read. You are on an emotional rollercoaster. The third book in the series, and you are introduced to new characters and beings. I am cautiously and eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next book in the series...

I'm addicted to this series (and all Hailey Edwards' books)! This one keeps you on the edge of your seat and keeps the plotlines moving! The characters are well written and engaging always! A definite home run!

The 3rd book in this series is well written and engaging. The heroine keeps growing into her freedom and herself as well as realizing that she cannot shoulder the burdens of the world by herself. Definitely recommend

If you are looking for a roller coaster of action and emotion, look no further. Hailey's books never fail to impress but this one left me stumbling from a serious book hangover and jonesing for the next installment.

Every time I read one of her books, I think this is the best thing that she has written, but this one is head and shoulders above the rest. I have one complaint- I finished it already and the next one isn’t out yet.

I really enjoyed the character growth in this book. I especially liked getting to learn a little more about Linus and how he lives. Seeing the “dad story” starting to unfold is also interesting. I can tell this is one of those series that I never want to end.

Love love this series. The heroine is smart, tough, and holds on to a sense of humor despite all the crap thrown her way; best of all, Edwards paints the heroine as believable with realistic faults and moments of sadness.

Loved how this book changes Grier’s life.

I did not like the ending, at all. It was far too brutal and out of left field

I can't be expected to be a productive member of society after finishing this book. I just can't.
Maybe someday I'll figure out how to stop crying, but that day is not today. Tomorrow doesn't look good, either.

Hailey does it again..I hated for the book to end and now I have to wait on the next one..I admit I was team Boaz but the more I got into the story I started changing my mind as Grier and Linus drew closer..if you have read her books go now and start...

I tore through this book in two days. I could not put it down. The main character, Grier, is really coming into her own. She's starting to acknowledge her own strength and using it to not just survive, but to really live. There are heartbreaking moments, and the bad guys are still around. But we learn more about who they are and what they want. If you read Patricia Briggs or Anne Bishop and haven't tried this series, start reading it today!!!

Again, great characters, great plotlines and intricate and interesting world building. I always get nervous when I see I am close to the end, knowing I will have to wait for the next installment. Wonderful!

I read the other books in this series and they were awesome ? but I liked this book the best. The heroine finally comes in to her own. I won't give anything away but I can't wait for the next book.

I cried like crazy once I understood why this book was titled what it was.

I thought that it was going to be a Stephanie Plum style wobbling between two enticing guys with different attributes. I love her motorcycle. I am still raw and hurt from what happened to her in this book.

Amelia hurt the most. In Book 2, obviously Amelia tries to kill her, but what happens in this book is worse, because she consciously hurts Grier. Amelia says that Grier's #1 goal in life is to be Mrs. Boaz Pritchard in this book. The betrayal from her allies hurts like crazy. She was penniless but beloved. Then she was wealthy but alone.

Edwards’s third book picks up speed. The female lead is finding her strength and figuring out who her friends are. Not to mention getting some kick ass guards and a new sexier roommate. Wooly house is a unique character experience and one that enhances the haunted high jinx’s of the storyline. A great read for sci-fi/fantasy/gothic story lovers looking for an emotional roller coaster.

Hailey Edwards has done it again! I tried so hard to pace myself on this book because I didn't want it to end. Well, that plan did not happen! I could not put it down. Hailey has kept the series going strong with lovable, complex characters and a story that leaves you wanting more. Keep up the good work!

Loved this so much. An interesting take on urban fantasy filled with complex and compelling characters. The dramatic irony was wielded expertly without the typically obvious holes most characters fall into. This was a standout entertaining read and I can’t wait for the rest of the series.

This book is the third in a series that just gets better with every book. Hailey Edwards has created an intriguing new paranormal world of the necromancer and you can't help help but form strong attachments to her characters. The end of the book comes all too quicky, leaving the reader chomping at the bit for the next.

I have to admit I feel bad about being able to read Hailey Edwards under my prime membership, but I am totally addicted. I was lost my mind reading the ending of this book, and am waiting NOT so patiently for the next installment.
