Ilona Andrews - hands down my favorite author/authors (husband and wife team) ever in the history of ever...everything they write is gold. I heard a 4th book hasn't been optioned yet, but I am crossing my fingers for more out of this universe. If you haven't read their Edge series - do it. If you haven't read their Innkeeper series - do it.

I love the animal & plant magic combining with Connor & Nevada's more flashy magic. There is a bit of sexy romance, supportive family love, & an awesome story. I had to read it straight through!

Fun, exciting, and satisfying. Developed characters, involved plot lines, intense action sequences, fantastic world building, genuine romance and chemistry. You should read the series in order to follow the plot and character development. I enjoyed it and can't wait for the next installment.

I love the Kate Daniels series, but I love the Hidden legacy series more! I started this series while waiting for the next Kate book. The best things about this series are Nevada & Connor and I love her interactions with her family. There is a lot of adventure & romance, but make sure read it in order. I hope they write the next book soon!

It was sooo good. Love the sense of humor and the action and the romance. This book has it all and leaves you wanting more! I so hope we get more books with these characters. I would give it more than five stars if it would let me!!!

A completely satisfying third installment in the Hidden Legacy series. I love this world and hope there will be more books in the future (if not Nevada and Rogan, then other characters taking the lead)

WOW! I don't think I can improve on the previous 5 star reviews. I was transported into their world and family and I loved every minute. I would sometimes stop reading so I could savor the moment. It felt real, not an easy feat. HIGHLY recommend.

Dear Avon, If you don't publish four, five, six, ten books in this series I will be deeply disappointed in you! I love Ilona Andrews and don't understand why everyone isn't throwing their money at them. Read this series, dear reader, you won't regret it.

Buy this book. You won't regret it. It's a great read. The characters seem real. If you are going to read this one, you might as well buy the first two and read them first so you have the whole picture.

An excellent wind-up to the trilogy, of which Burn for Me and White Hot are the preceding two volumes. Nevada Baylor is a thoroughly satisfactory heroine, who deals with life's messy events on her terms. Fans are currently pleading with the authors for a sequel to the set. All power to them!

The Hidden Legacy series is another gem from Ilona Andrews. As is the case with all of their books, the characters are well developed, the situations are exciting, the chemistry is off-the-charts electric, and the story unfolds beautifully.

I could not love this author more!!!! Such strong characters, truly engrossing. Though Kate Daniels might be my all time favorite character from Ilona, Nevada and her sisters fascinate me. I hope we get more to this story!

It’s FRIDAY, and the Yay has you wanting to spend your hard earned cash on a new read. Well I suggest you plop down your money on Ilona Andrews’ newest Hidden Legacy series book titled WildFire. When it comes to urban fantasy romance Ilona Andrews is on top of the author field. Ilona Andrews is actual two people husband and wife duo Ilona and Andrew Gordon. Yes I will mess up their names as when two become one I get freaking confused. I possible may pray for their continued wedded bliss, and at this point they could call themselves mashed potatos and I would still read their books. Whoopsie, I got off the subject silly me. Okay back to the book, I listened to the audio book and also have the eBook version, I am anal that way I need both versions. The audio book version is narrated by Renee Raudman. I am nothing but nicely brutally honest and the first Edge Series by Ilona Andrews book I listened to narrated by Raudman I hated. I swore I would not listen again to her. I ate my words and love her. I will admit she is an acquired taste, but once I acquired it I could not fathom not listening to Raudman’s smooth melodious voice reading to me. Does that sound to stalkerish? YIKES! Now to the book, which picks up on Nevada Baylors’ life shortly after book two. Nevada and Rogan have just finished burning up the sheets when grandmother dearest decides to pop into the Baylors’ lives. Grandmother dearest is Tremaine psychopath extraordinaire, who wants all her grandkiddies to come join her in her evil club house. Hmmm…. NOPE NADDA NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Not only is Nevada dealing with hell grandma, but Rohan’s ex finance is needing help and hires Baylor investigation. REALLY??? Nevada is a great character, and her family is filled with great characters. Okay let me gush somemore, the entire world of Hidden Legacy is filled with standout characters, of both the good and bad variety. The characters and the world building are the hallmark of the Andrews’ stellar writing. This series and book have more bedsport than other Andrews’ books but they never let the sexy times dictate the book’s plot, thank the heavens. The mark of a good book for me is if I cut out all the sex of a story do I still have a book worth reading. In the Hidden Legacy series and all of Andrews’ books I always have a great read.

The series just keeps getting better and better. I really hope Nevada and Connor's adventures continue. Excellent plot, engaging characters that you care about, and perfect pacing. Ilona Andrews is one of three authors I auto buy.

I have followed Ilona Andrews' books since I discovered the first Kate Daniels book in a funny backyard store with 'foreign' books.
I agreed with the student minding the shop that that was story to follow, and learned a new word, urban fantasy. I have bought the following books, have them in paperback, bought before I got a computer and am waiting for the final book in the KD series. Adventure, humour, battles, magic, shifters, vampires, witches myths from east and west fill the books with hours of entertainment including another new phrase, easter eggs.

When the blog said that a new genre, romance, was being written, I was certain that (despite the bodice- ripping cover, not the authors' choice) I would find a quality tale, and bought Burn for me, the first in this trilogy. I was not disappointed. I waited for the two following books, Whitehot and Wildfire. And waited. And waited. We readers who followed the blog knew about the reason, publishing logistics of some kind. I waited willingly: these are quality stories with good morals. I live in a non-English speaking country, the funny little shop has closed, so bought the first two paperback books from another dealer than the store, then bought this one as an e book from the store, hence verified purchase, but I later ordered myself a paperback; I wanted to have a complete set and it is still easier to hold and browse in a paperback.

I really enjoyed this trilogy, many people gave reviews on Wildfire, and I decided that one more, from me, was unnecessary. I could not write anything new or better. After a while I had second thoughts: I sometimes look at a reviewer's profile to see if that person has recommended another book after being in agreement about a book. So...for those who sometimes check my profile, do yourselves a favour and read Ilona Andrews' books.

I loved this next chapter in the Nevada/Connor saga. There were so many twists and turns that I didn't expect, but then I try not to predict when reading an Ilona Andrews story. I can only hope this series continues...

Loved this. So many scenes with Rogan, I wanted to cheer. Cannot wait to meet his mom!
The one detail I think the world could build on is the characters' diet. The Baltimore Orioles revamped their organization's food service last year -- no more hot dog lunches -- they have a chef and food prep team, and a nutritionist. They buy food at the farmers' market. Like Ranger in the Evanovich series, Rogan needs a food team for his troops (and himself). The authors have worked out the excellent private healthcare -- now the characters need decent nutrition. The apple bear claw first thing in the morning, no. Eggs, wheat toast, yogurt, oatmeal with berries. Eat to win. These characters are athlete soldiers, some are magical. They have to recharge. Is it the poisoning problem? I don't like seeing the characters sleep on empty stomachs. When Nevada gets a headache, I wonder, was it the bacon nitrates and pancake syrup? Is she dehydrated from all that iced tea and coffee? I would love to see a great food service -- farmed vegetables and fruit, chickens, greenhouses -- on the two-square-mile compound, with a cadre of food growers and cooking professionals, managing this aspect of the billionaire Rogan's empire, allowing the women and men who put their lives on the line for Rogan to have the best perk: delicious free food.

I was afraid that it would be impossible for Ilona Andrews to write a good followup to the first two books, despite all evidence that they could given their prior novels. This book manage that near impossible feat. This book is gold.

Intelligent and well thought out. I read all 3 Hidden Legacy novels and in each you bacame more attached to the family and the people around them. The main characters are both strong and likeable. You will become invested in their city and how they are going to save it.

Excellent read! Well written. Awesome, rounded, funny characters. There's a reveal in the last sentence of the book - I did not see that coming. The only thing I'd change is to make the book longer. Love it. This had better be a very looong series.

Review courtesy of All Things Urban Fantasy.

Romantics, fantasy fans, and process nerds unite, WILDFIRE has something for all of us. Nevada and Connor have to negotiate the transition of their new relationship into a world that is aware of the Baylor family's potential. As with every other book in this series, however, readers are going to finish WILDFIRE wanting more and more of these smart, sexy, hilarious characters.

In addition to Andrews' characteristic magic with relationships in progress, WILDFIRE also clears up many threads left hanging in prior books. Questions of the other Baylors' abilities are put to rest, even how Nevada and her sisters ended up with such a diverse set of powers in a world where careful genetic tracking would predict against it. Some of the rotten Prime conspiracy is resolved, or at least promises to change the playing field, and seeing Nevada work with her new employees (and her new paramilitary neighbors) is as detailed and satisfying as you'd expect from the Andrews.

Each book in the Hidden Legacy series is worth reading more than once, and WILDFIRE was even better the second time around. Where a lesser series would pack melodrama between secrets, the Andrews use strategy and rational responses, which age much better. The character dynamics are just as funny and sweet with each read-through, but that's small comfort until we know more Hidden Legacy books are on their way.

Sexual Content: Sex scenes.

I so love this third installment. I do hope that this won't be the end to this story. I would love to know how the story unfolds and how they will defeat caesar.

And some wedding and children perhaps(?).

I am such a crazy arse, stalker fan girl of this dynamic duo. They just never fail to deliver, and I find that their books are always well worth the wait, and wait I must again for the next one to be delivered into my Kindle app from a previously made pre-order, which I also must say is always a lovely surprise, like receiving this book yesterday. Someone stop me, I'm all excited, loved up and rambling.

I just love all the characters we have going on here, and I honestly would love to know all of their individual stories too, don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Mad Rogan *sigh* but every single one of these characters peeks my interest too.

The story was great. It just continued to develop from the previous book. Seriously, how can you keep building and developing on that, AND keep me completely engrossed. Bravo you two, bravo! Seriously, I slept F-All last night I just couldn't put it down.

Please just carry on as you are, and continue to put me in my happy, happy, happy place.

Looking forward to your next book in any of the series's that I'm crazy stalking you on.

How can they keep doing this ??? I have to give the authors a big THANKS for ruining my ability to read ANYTHING else. How can i read anything and like it when I compare it to the incomparable Ilona and Gordon Andrews? I am left bookless after getting hooked on their series- Kate Daniels, the Edge, the innkeeper series- they never ever disappoint and always blow me away with their amazing writing, inventive plots, great characters and witty lines. This series was absolutely amazing- the romance was scorching hot, the characters are likeable and the world is so well thought out. Didn't particularly love the ending as it left the core problem of the series unsolved. Keeping my fingers crossed that more series revolving around other characters in this book will fix that little dilemma. I've read this book multiple times and always find a new funny line that I didn't fully appreciate the first (or second, or third ) time around. KEEP IT COMING!! And if you don't want to be spoiled for any more reading , then stay away from this series- you won't be able to read second class books after this!! Waaaaaah!

Wildfire is the third book in the Hidden Legacy series. It continues the same conspiracy storyline from book two where there are shadowy forces trying to undermine and devastate the powerful magical community in Houston. Nevada and Rogan must do whatever they can in order to save their city while also dealing with her escalating power and newfound abilities. I was absolutely hooked and obsessed with this couple. I loved their banter, passion and devotion to each other and could not get enough of this story!

I loved that throughout this series there has been an undeniable connection between Nevada and Rogan. He is all powerful and dangerous but there is something about her that brings him to his knees. I loved that about them. There was not one point where I felt that any threat could hurt or overcome them. Their passion was HOT and their connection deep. I loved the additional side characters and hope we see more from these authors in the future as I'm not ready for this series to end! Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula

Love all of these authors characters, plots and settings. Am tired to death of the sex scenes. Here I am reading about magic, shape changers, action and romance and all of a sudden we are dropped into a world of plunging dicks and vibrating clits. Am I alone in finding this a real mood breaker? One page maybe but these sex scenes go on endlessly. They do not move the plot, they do not develop character they don't promote a deeper understanding of the world at large. They sure don't provide any mystery. People who have followed these series tell me they have dropped them because of the gratuitous sex . Is this something the publisher is pushing?? I adore these authors - they don't need this to be successful.

I enjoyed this book and the previous two in the series. However, I think Ilona Andrews has gone farther into serious romance novel territory than I want to go.

Grandma can't stop talking about Nevada and Rogan. The former head of the magic assembly willingly gets into a discussion about true love. Rogan's ex-fiancee decides to take on Nevada and Rogan's relationship, giving Nevada a chance to expound on the course of "something genuine." I know this is fiction, but people generally don't have these kinds of conversations.

I love the magic environment that's been set up, and I love the characterizations. The characters are all nice, except for the bad guys, of course, and their motivations all make sense. I appreciate nice people in a series. It makes the series that much more enjoyable.

My favorite Ilona Andrews' series is Kate Daniels, which I understand was their first. I went on a rampage to read everything else, but everything else seems to be a bit gooey. I might not check out the next series that Ilona Andrews writes, because I found the gooey-ness in this series to be irritating. However, if I were to pick up the first book in the next series, I probably couldn't stop myself from buying every book. They are great writers and wonderful at drawing you in.

I could not stop reading this book and cannot wait for what will be next in this world. With the way the book ended, I'm thinking there will definitely be more to come. I haven't been this caught up in a series since Karen Marie Moning' s Highlander and Shadowfever books!

I want to be Nevada! I don't think I've ever envied a character's personality as much as I do hers. She's brilliant and strong and resilient. Kick-a$$! The romance didn't overshadow the story itself, which was refreshing. There are so many twists and turns and wonderfully made characters... I'm on edge for the next installment!! I hope I'm right about that. :-D

Thank you for a captivating series!

Did it have to be him? I was so hopping he was genuine, but nope, can't have that, now can we?

The book is really good. The whole series is wonderful. The following issues didn't actually detract from my enjoyment of the books. Still for posterity I have to nag.

The strain between Connor and Nevada feels a bit forced or maybe it feels so because Nevada sounds very detached from her personal problems in the context of the conspiracy. Her emotions are very controlled, responses measured and priorities straight. This feels unnatural. One of Terry Pratchett's character said that personal doesn't mean important and this could apply to Nevada's mental state given the conspiracy. But in this case personal is very important and Nevada speaks/thinks the words, they just aren't reflected in her actions or emotions enough. She didn't break, overreact or blow up. Or maybe I wasn't convinced by it. She was a perfect little robot. Sensible and very grown up. In the first book she punched Adam in the nose. In the second there were the blow up about the territory. In this one we can imagine she is more grown up, but no one grows up that fast without breaking. Maybe the stimulus wasn't enough? But then I can hardly imagine what that could possibly after all she went through.

Also again you evil, evil Authorities... I liked him. Why did you choose him?

Also, where's Montgomery?

This was a stunning "end" to the trilogy. I say that in quotes because I hope it is not the end. The story of Nevada and Rogan is not finished. Ceased remains unmasked. I want more.

I understand why a publisher of traditional romances (hi Avon) might be good with this. But I am not. :) I expect that there will either be one shot spin offs focusing on a couple for a single book or another trilogy for another couple. Which both would make me happy (Catalina anyone???) and sad (I love Nevada/Rogan).

I like this series of stories. I think the love scenes are more grafic than necessary, but they move the nararive along. Is this series concluding? It seemed rather final, except for Grandma's storyline.

Love, love, love it! Great pseudo conclusion to the Baylor/Rogan alliance/romance. Cannot recommend this book enough! Would love to see additional in this world and particularly with Nevada's awesome siblings. Rarely do you see such fully fleshed out side characters where you are as interested in seeing the end of their story as you are in the main characters.

I decided to wait until the weekend to start reading this, and I'm glad I did. I wasn't able to put the book down! I admit I've loved all the books from this author. This is a wonderful third installment to the series with both expected and unexpected plot twists. I can't wait to read the 4th.

Billed as the end of the trilogy it leaves room for new by failing to capture the leader of the conspiracy that has been at the heart of the series. Not as good a book as the second. The first half has far too much formula romance to be of interest, but once the action picks up a good read. A careful reader will have identified the evil leader of the conspiracy. Will have to see if a followup trilogy is written.

This series has an interesting story line. Intriguing enough to make me want to read all three books to see how it ends. However, this third book is rather tiring. Almost every person and place came with a lengthy and unnecessarily detailed description that contributed nothing to the story and plot development. I found myself skipping paragraphs, sometimes pages, trying to get back to the story and to the next plot. It almost felt like the authors were trying to satisfy a word-count quota or filling the pages to get through their writer's block. When you can skip paragraphs and still not miss a beat on a story, you know those paragraphs are likely unnecessary or at least can be simplified quite a bit.

And the ending... What kind of finale is this?? That said, even if this weren't the last book and there were another one coming, if it's written in the same wordy style as this book, I don't think I'll read it.
★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

Before I start the real review, I need to say one thing: Thank you for finally choosing a decent cover and a decent not ambiguous title for the third book in this series! Finally! This is a cover that shows what the inside tells!

For the real start of this review I have to admit that it always gets harder to review a book the further I get in a series. Most of the time there isn't very much left to say about the series that I haven't said yet. Especially when it isn't the best book in the series and nothing mind-blowing happens. I still gave it 4 stars so I still thought it was an awesome book! It's very difficult to pick a favourite in this series. They all where very much the same and still so very different. Reading this book felt like coming home after a long day of work, it is relaxing and it is a fun read, but it felt too safe at times. It felt like everything that I expected to happen did happen. But none the less, this has been an amazing journey through an equally amazing magical world. I really loved this version of our world. It wasn't all perfect, but it was a glamorous and powerful adaptions of our (sometimes boring) planet earth.

If you compare the romance throughout the three books. This one had my absolute favourite moments. The romance finally felt like it was maturing into something more than just some meaningless flirting. I don't know what I would have done if their relationship had stayed like it was in the second book (Imagine the horror!). I love the way they wrote the romance scenes in this final novel. It kept that down to earth, human touch which I liked so much about the previous books.

The main reason why I didn't give this one 5 stars, is because there was just a bit too much action for me. But don't let that stop you from reading this book!! I'm just not the biggest fan of action scenes. I get bored fast when an action scene is longer than one page. But I have to admit that this book would have been a disappointment without a "violent" ending, so I think I was in a love-hate-relationship with the action scenes.

I have to complain just a tiny bit about the ending, I'm sorry but it has to be done. After reading three whole books about Rogan (Connor? It just feels more natural to call him by his last name) and Nevada, I feel like I'm really invested in them!! And it didn't really feel like the story was 100% over and completely told! It felt like they weren't writing a last book. But there isn't enough story left to write another book like this, so that got me a little bit confused! So I hope they will bring out another book in this world. It doesn't necessary have to be like the rest of the series. Maybe even about different people, or a novella? (I don't know, I'm not a writer). I just need something to be satisfied with leaving this world behind.

I’ve had this book for awhile, and I’m pretty sure I read it several years ago in paperback. But I no longer have paperbacks around, so I can’t check that. And I didn’t enter it in my GoodReads list, so I can’t check it there. But, I have read some of the Kate Daniels series and I’m pretty sure I read this when it came out. But I read it again last week. Reading anything by this author is never a waste of time. It’s always going to be a good read.

I was not disappointed. The world they built for this trilogy is amazing! It’s a dystopian world based in Houston, TX. The magic system is quite wide-ranging as far as what people are capable of doing. And people can have more than one type of magic. It seems like there are an awful lot of not very nice people around in these days.

Nevada Baylor and her assorted family members are quite quirky. Her grandmother modifies large vehicles, like armored trucks and tanks. Her mother is an army veteran, a sniper who spends a lot of time trying to keep her various children from causing trouble. Nevada has two teenaged sisters who just need to survive being teenagers and let their magic settle to be human. She has two cousins living with her as well. One whose magic keeps him busy with their computers and one who doesn’t seem to think he has any magic. They live in a warehouse and run the private investigations business out of there as well.

Connor Rogan is one heck of a power. The army made him into the perfect weapon with no off switch. Now he’s home from war and on his own as head of his house. He chooses his own battles. He’s decided Nevada would make a good weapon in his latest battle, so he tries to acquire her in his forthright way. Or would that be forceful way? And Nevada doesn’t respond to force very well.

But she looks into his eyes and sees what others have missed. She looks at him and sees things she likes and decides to be acquired in her own way. She finds his off switch and they leave most of Houston still standing. Once she and Rogan start working together towards the same goal, things get fun. They shoot sparks and steam and all sorts of things. Everyone loves to stand around and watch it happen, too. So read this book and then you’ll do the same thing I did. You will immediately need book two, White Hot.

I couldn’t resist buying the second book, and it was worth every penny I spent on it. The first book stopped at a place that just begged for the next one. Not exactly a cliffhanger, but pretty darn close. So, since book 2 came out in May, I was able to buy it and get busy reading.

In this one, Nevada hasn’t heard from Rogan since the ending of the last case when they first met. She has a new client. Cornelius wants Nevada to find out who killed his wife. He knows he’s been lied to about what happened and he wants the truth.

Rogan, of course, gets involved as Nevada stumbles through the intricate society that makes up their magic world. She’s too new to the social swirl to know when she has or is about to make a mistake. Rogan and her new client try to help her pick her way through the dance that seems to be the rules of their high society, but Nevada isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, especially in a fight. She goes to one high society event in a lovely dress with brutal markings around her neck showing where someone tried to kill her. She always makes an impression.

The relationship is gaining momentum in this book and getting steamier. They are both aware of their feelings for each other and open about them. People close around them definitely see them as a couple and their society is becoming aware of them as a pair as well. Some are delighted and some are ready to kill them. Literally. There seems to be a conspiracy afoot and Rogan and Nevada seem to keep getting in its way of starting a New Rome and putting their own Ceasar at its head.

For a bonus from this case, Nevada gets a large blue cat-like creature and a non-aggressive Grizzly bear, named Teddy to add to her family. She also gets her first non-family employee and House support. Other than House Rogan, that is.

And I needed the third book when I was done with this one, of course. You will, too.

So, keep reading…

This was the best of the three books! So varied and so many things going on all coming together here. Is this the end of a trilogy or the breather before all hell breaks loose?

This is when Nevada’s sisters’ magic is really useful. This is when people recognize the danger and take sides. She meets her other grandmother, Victoria Tremaine, in this book. The one that’s sort of been a bogeyman up until now. Nevada finds out the whole truth about her lineage and even Rogan is startled by it.

The four children, Nevada, her two sisters, and her cousin, test before the Council to see if they will become a House. Of remain a family. It’s here that she has to announce publicly any affiliations or ties to other Houses. And she surprises them all.

In this book, the couple solidifies their relationship and looks ahead. Nevada finally gets to meet Rogan’s mother. They build a big house. And I would have thought that would be the end if not for the last bit.

The last conversation of Victoria Tremaine as she walks among the roses talking with someone who says that it’s not over. That New Rome will come and there will be a Ceasar. Is there more to come or not? After waiting three years for the second and third books, and getting them within months of each other, what does this mean? I am not sure. Read these three books and tell me what you think it means.

One thing for sure, I'll be re-reading this in the near future as I gulped it down way too fast instead of savouring.

Explosive. Snarky. Poignant. Exhilarating. These are just some of the suitable epitomes for Ilona Andrews' books. I honestly can't get enough of them, and this series is one of the finest in urban fantasy, from my point of view.

It all comes to a head in Wildfire. We finally have a clearer view of the scale of the conspiracy Rogan and Nevada stumbled upon. Nevada has to step into the limelight and assume the position of the Prime, which, I have to admit, suits her like a second skin.

Her family is absolutely amazing and such an integral part of her personality it's impossible to separate them from her.

Even her evil grandmother pulls the same trick we see in Kate Daniels's interactions with her father. She is evil, ruthless and cold, but at her core she is proud of Nevada, and it makes it that little bit harder to hate her.

Rogan and Nevada's interactions are high-octane and filled with electric tension. They are just such powerful, larger than life personalities the only way for them to function together is constant compromise, which is an alien concept for them both. Not surprisingly, I absolutely adored them!

Wildfire is full of delicious action, the trials, the constant battles, the mind games. Even if it feels like a rabbit pulled out of the hat from time to time, in the end everything is clear.

If you just finished White Hot, stop and catch your breath. You will not have this opportunity once you start Wildfire.

Verdict: it was freaking awesome. I'm a crazed fan. Read it!

Wildfire is the explosive third installment in the Hidden Legacy urban fantasy series by author duo Ilona Andrews, and it is everything I expected and more.

Nevada and Rogan’s path to their happily ever after has been a rocky one, but their romance doesn’t dominate the story arc. What I mean is that the drama in this series isn’t grounded in poor communication or angsty tempers. They challenge each other and fight for each other, and once they’ve committed, they’re all in. I love that in a romantic story, and it’s a big part of why I was so addicted to this series. That and the really cool magical world.

The expression of magic in this story world, and particularly in this book—the creativity, the variation, the ferocity and beauty—is the hallmark of this series. This is urban fantasy gilded in sparkle and intrigue, grounded in grit and violence and structure.

Ilona Andrews’ heart-stopping action sequences mesmerize, shock, and pull you in to page after page of magnetic prose. Just try to claw yourself away from the book mid-scene. I dare you. One of the things I respect most about their writing—and this series—is that the hero characters almost never take the obvious exit. Nevada finds alternate paths to resolution that, as a reader, I never even thought about, and no one person (no matter how powerful) is the lynchpin of the story’s climax. They all work as a team, and they face their demons as one big family.

Is this the last book in the series? Is thought it was—which was making me really sad—but now I’m not so sure. Can’t wait to see what comes next for the Baylor and Rogan families. If you only read one urban fantasy series this year, pick this one. You won’t regret it.

Note: Wildfire should not be read as a standalone. Start with Burn For Me.

This book was a screamtastic edge of my seat, tingle my toes, oh so freaking good, stars in my eyes, chocolate mouse on my mind read. I lovingly fondled the pages day and night, never wanted to let them go.
Mad Rogan AKA Connor and Nevada Baylor are in my top of perfectly matched couples list. The banter, tension, and respect is a thing of beauty. This is a never easy, always worth it kind of coupling, tipped with many near death moments, and I love it. How can I not love a "bring it" attitude ? I love them both, total fan nut here.
The villains turned out to not be my most hated characters. That was a client. A back stabbing I'm going to steal your man while using you type of woman. Her picture is on my imaginary dart board and I hit a bullseye- bam.
I adore the new creatures, people and powers, each fits so well into the world and builds up the story for future books. Oh Andrews can you hear my chanting "write, write, write, write..." So, there is a new creature that won my heart, it is amazing and rides well in the back of a truck. See where I'm going with this ? I drive a truck !
I already make apple pies regularly thanks to the Andrews now I'll be making chocolate mouse too.
Rumors are that the publisher may not pick up more in this series, are they stupid ? Best seller top of the charts and extreme fan base ? hello wake up

I loved this trilogy. The concluding novel was not as good as the other two, but an Ilona Andrews not-as-good is still well worth reading. (I'm not sure who the target audience for a review of book 3 should be. If you've read books 1 and 2, you're probably know whether you want to read book 3, and if you haven't, book 1 is the place to start.) The main weakness of Wildfire is the lack of focus: There are too many threads and it is impossible to do most of them justice. The main strength is the main character who, despite being constrained by romance-novel conventions, never loses her intelligence or her integrity.

This book feels like the conclusion of the first arc of a longer series, not like the conclusion of a trilogy.

Wild Fire! Wildfire spreads fast and furious. It reaches a level of hotness that no one can touch. And noooo noooo noooo not one person can touch Mad Rogan as Nevada can! OR THEIR LOVE! SQUEALLLLLLL!!!! I am so utterly sad that this is the last installment in the trilogy that I love so much!!

In this book, Nevada takes newly hired Cornelious into the field with him and the adventures in magic, arcane and danger begins!! We get new creatures, new magic, and new terror. With every page, you get a new twist and turn that skyrockets you to utter entertainment! I love this series! Did I say that already didn't I?

The best thing that happens in this book is we discover why Nevada and her sisters are THE HIDDEN LEGACY! And boy is it a whopper!! You have to read, read, read to get to the point I am right now, which is UTTER LOVE!!!

With Nevada's father's past beating down their door, a kidnapping to solve, Mad Rogan's former fiance whining and crying every 5 minutes and White Hot Mad Rogan nipping at her heels, what is a girl to do! BECOME the Prime that she is!

And she does! 10 Stars! TEN! TEN! TEN! And a tip of the Nerd Girl Hat!!

I’ve been avoiding this book for a long time because I hate saying goodbye to this series which I learn to love as early as its first book. So, can you imagine what I felt when I found out that it’s not going to end yet?! I’m beyond ecstatic ofcourse!

Just like the first 2 books in the series, this one DIDN’T disappoint at all (well, you can definitely see that through those raging 5 stars above). I love the action, the suspense and ofcourse the romance (*insert deafening squeal here). I don't think I'll ever get tired reading about Mad Rogan and Nevada’s adventure together.

Nevada is still the same badass female lead that I adore from the first book and I think I love her even more in this installment. Aside from her intense adventure (as well as romance) with Mad Rogan, what I also love reading about is her relationship with her family. It’s just so heartwarming that it always makes me feel like wanting to hug someone.

As for Mad Rogan, do I really have to say how HOT he is in this installment?! I don’t want this review to become a love letter to Mad Rogan so I’ll just stop here, haha.

Combining these two makes this installment, well, this series a pretty intense read. Plus, the ending was really shocking.

“When we were at the lodge, and you were dancing in the snow, I kept wondering why the snow wasn’t melting. You’re like spring. My spring.”

This review is going to be for White Hot and Wildfire. I devoured these books (barely sleeping), and I'm not sure where one ended and the other began.

Words cannot express how much I love this series! It's seriously one of my all-time favorites. They are books that I will read again and again until I'm old and gray, and even then their audiobooks will be played at an insanely loud volume to compensate for my nearly nonexistent hearing.

I love the relationship Nevada and Conner have. He wants to protect her and keep her safe, but he isn't macho about it. He wants Nevada to be her own person and make choices without his influence. He knows that she is capable of defending herself (even if he wants to murder all of her enemies), so he doesn't try to keep her away from danger. He sees her as an equal, and I absolutely love that. They are repeatedly there for each other, and I adored the progression of their relationship. It was perfect.

The family dynamic in this series is incredible. I love the Baylor family and its many members. Grandma Frida is hysterical, and you know you'll laugh when she's around. There is a small age gap between some of the members, and I think Ilona does a wonderful job highlighting those differences. Teenagers are angsty and emotional. They're also prone to rash decisions and heightened feelings. Nevada is always concerned about what is best for them, but really they are all devoted to each other. They fight like family, but their love for each other is always there.

The villains are even superbly written. I don't think I had an issue with any character (except morally), because they were all detailed and driven. There was a reason behind everything, even if we don't know what those reasons are.

The magical aspect is phenomenal. It's new and refreshing, but also detailed and descriptive. I'm not confused by how it works, and you can tell the author put a lot of work into the why and how of it all.

Bonus: I never knew what was going to happen! If the characters were surprised, so was I. I didn't know anything before they did, and I wasn't able to guess things before they happened.

Magic, steamy romance, action, family, monsters, pacifist bears--this series has it all and more! If you haven't read the first book, Burn for Me, stop reading this right now and go find it!

I read A LOT. Just look at my book count on Goodreads. Even the people closest to me think I’m out of my ever-loving mind to consume books with the speed and voracity that I do. So, when I find something capable of punching through all the noise; that continues to live in my head even after closing the book; I have found my nirvana. This book, heck this whole series, has done that with grace and elegance. The characters are multi-dimensional, complex, and dynamic. As are their interactions and relationships. The secondary characters aren’t secondary in their development. They are just as individual and memorable as their main counterparts. There is logic and reason behind every action. A villain isn’t a villain just because he (or she) is insane; there’s a carefully calculated plan driving everything. I love that no matter how powerful an enemy is, there is a weakness that can be used to defeat them; that Nevada and Rogan aren’t all-powerful either. I appreciate that that Nevada and Rogan have their own personal rules of engagement during combat and they stick to them. I am extremely grateful that I was able to read the three books that currently make up this series back to back, and I’m now bereft that I have to wait for the next one to be released. Because there has to be a next book. There are still questions unanswered and a few dangling plot threads to be tied off.

I think that fact that I read this book in six hours the night it came out shows how much I loved this series and how much I was looking forward to this story. I think I mentioned it already a couple of times in my previous reviews but Ilona Andrews writing style is so good and refined and quite honestly so far I didn’t read anything from her that I didn’t like.
Now that I finished the book I noticed small things on the cover that tell a lot about the plot and just love covers like that. Well the awesome purple color scheme also not hard to look at.
For some reason it felt as if like this book was marginally longer than the other ones in the series but I checked and they almost the same length. Maybe it was because I was tired and I have a tendency to space out times like that or it was just the way the storyline was built up.
Certain story lines I expected to come into play based on the previous book, like the grandmother question (which gets less attention than I expected based on the synopsis) or since it’s the last book in the series the conspiracy they discovered. But they weren’t the only story arcs a lot of different little side glances were there to and they progressed practically parallel until in a certain junction everything came together. It was exciting, action packed and interesting. But it also has a strange effect for me. I mean so much happens in a book that it’s a bit overwhelming at times but then in case of a couple of chapters it was a bit dragged out and kinda boring. So yeah I had a dual feeling about the plot. But I still really enjoyed it.
Then there is the epilogue which lives me with fluttery feelings and hope for a couple of more books in the series because the big bad guy is still on the loose and he is not directly named but if you pay attention carefully while reading you can figure his identity pretty quickly.
As for the characters, I love them all. Nevada family is so well structured and spectacular. They are funny, dramatic and caring. A bunch of crazy individuals. An finally after the careful obscuring the authors did in the last two books the younger Baylor sisters magic comes to light to. One of it is a bit shocking, I expected something else but I understand the secretive nature of the family finally. Nevada mother pissed me off a couple of times how she was hiding and keeping secrets all their life and when they come to haunt them she was angry at Nevada and expected, no demanded the solution from her.
Nevada is still kick ass but this time she is a bit overwhelmed with troubles but now she has Rogan. I think they are so good together and I’m glad their attraction didn’t get dragged out and the found each other. They just click, Rogan is closed off for most of the world and he can be too much for everybody but Nevada understands him and she likes him with all of his sides. Yes, they have a couple of fights but they get over it. They are perfect for each other. Okay so maybe their relationship progressed a bit too quickly, since they went from zero to 100 in the matter of a couple of months but I loved them together so who cares.
A fantastically developed universe, Action, secrets, big decisions, life changing moments, love and excitement. The perfect recipe for a magical and otherworldly read. Just pick it up you won’t be disappointed.

In this conclusion to the Hidden Legacy trilogy, the authors' demonstrate their mastery of plotting and snarking. So many funny moments! So many thrills and revelations!

I really enjoyed this book, though I have to confess that the second one is my favorite. I missed a favorite character who did not feature in this one, and truly enjoyed getting to know the ones that did appear.

There were surprises and twists and turns throughout the novel. I deducted a point for the mild cliffhanger the authors left at the end, though it's not enough to mar the conclusion of a very satisfying set.

Now here's hopping they write three more books set in this world, which is so brilliant and imaginative!

Wildfire by Ilona Andrews is the 3rd book in their fantastic Hidden Legacy series. I love love this series. I do not want it to end; not with one more book, or 5 more books, … I just want more. This series has a fantastic couple, powerful magic, and fabulous secondary characters that are simply awesome. That is not to mention the fantastic world-building, exciting nonstop action filled story line. I finished this book in one day, staying up later at night; I could not put it down, as it kept me glued to my kindle.

Wildfire picks up shortly after the previous book, White Hot left off. Nevada, our wonderful fantastic heroine, has decided to tell her family that the time has come for them to have their own house, in order to prevent Victoria Tremaine from taking control of them. To become a House, they would need to prove they are Primes, which Nevada certainly is. Catalina and Arrabelle are also Primes, with different magic ability, and by starting House Baylor, they will be protected from their powerful grandmother (Victoria), who just found them. Connor (Mad Rogan) and Nevada are finally a couple and very much in love. It is Rogan who convinces Nevada that she needs to do this to protect her family. But Nevada worries if having the two houses (House Rogan and House Baylor) would destroy their relationship.

While filing papers to form their house, and prepare for trials to be approved, Nevada takes a case. Rynda, Rogan’s ex-fiancee, comes to Nevada to help find her missing husband. Rogan and Nevada will find themselves once again fighting off powerful enemies with strong magical abilities. In the previous book, we learned there is a conspiracy to take over Houston by some Prime Houses, and they will stop at nothing to prevent Nevada and Rogan from interfering. There are so many twists in this wild, mind boggling adventure that never stops. The villains are evil, and the creatures they bring out are unstoppable. How in the world can they survive? But Rogan, his team, Nevada and her family are amazing together, as they fight off one heart stopping attack after another. Whoa!

Most of all, Nevada has grown so much in learning about her magical powers, which she harnesses more and more. She is a dangerous power that others begin to fear, of course not Rogan, who is powerful enough. Together they are unbeatable. I loved when other Prime houses learn about Nevada, and that she is the granddaughter of the feared Victoria Tremaine and want her to join with them, or try to stop her from starting House Baylor. Near the end, I loved when Nevada and her sisters have to complete in the Prime house the trials. Awesome fun. In Wildfire, the romance between Nevada and Rogan came together beautifully and finally nothing was going to separate them.

Now that I finished this book, I need to go back and re-read to savior it all again, and catch parts I may have missed. Wildfire is that good. I can’t say enough for the Ilona Andrews duo (Ilona & Gordon) who continue to give us such eye-opening, thrilling, suspenseful, exciting stories that hold our breaths the entire time. I know this was intended to be a trilogy, but both Burn for Me and White Hot made the best seller list, and I pray the publisher will ask them to do more books. Nevada and Rogan are so awesome together, and I totally love her family; all the other characters are just as good. Please please give us more. If you have not read this series, you need to do so now, and start with Burn for Me. It is a do not miss from a fabulous writing team, Ilona and Gordon Andrews.

Nevada Baylor has to make a hard choice, should she want to register her family as a House? Becoming a House will push her irreconcilably into a world of ruthless and deadly politics, but may save her from becoming a slave to others, especially her paternal grandmother’s, will. As she faces this decision, she also gets presented with a case, to find a missing husband. Only the woman asking is the daughter of a deceased enemy, an enemy she had a hand in killing. But, the more Nevada finds out, the more nothing is quite as it seems.

Once again Ilona Andrews confirms exactly why I adore her books, Wildfire had me clutching my kindle and unable to let it go from the very first page. This phenomena isn’t unusual with me and an Andrews book, you may have guessed from this review and all the others that I am a routing-through-their-rubbish kind of fan. So, to spice this review up I am going to break my adoration down into what it is that draws me into their books, and to this book in particular:

THE WORLD

Any Fantasy (Urban or otherwise) has to build a good world. It’s got to be grounded in enough reality or sense so that you can believe it, but different enough from the normal world so that it sparks your imagination. In the Hidden Legacy series I believe that Andrews has achieved this balance. The world is close to our own, with the addition of having certain families that can wield different types of magic. Being able to wield magic then affects everything, the businesses they go into, the people they will marry and treatment by law enforcement. It’s fascinating and exciting and with each new book new nuances are added. It’s the perfect setting for the characters and stories Andrews has crafted.

THE CHARACTERS

Andrews has knack for creating characters I love. And not just the central characters (who we will get to) but also everyone surrounding them. Enemies, friends, family…even characters that make a brief appearance have more personality then some heroes and heroines I have read in other books. This all stems from reading this from Nevada, the heroine’s, POV, we see them through her eyes. We view her family through a lens of her love for them, we see the developing relationship between her and Rogan and everyone else through her observations. Luckily Nevada is pretty astute. Another element I love, Andrews’ writes a very human, but intelligent heroine and I can’t help but love hopping along for the ride.

THE STORY

This is the last book that has been contracted for this series, I really hope that they are offered more, because this series has such a great potential for more. But, if it doesn’t it has ended, although with one loose end untied and ready to be grabbed on to, at least satisfactory. Each book has had it’s own individual story running through it, but Wildfire pulls the overarching story line to a conclusion. And what an exciting, action packed conclusion it was! There were monsters, car chases, bear soldiers and tanks, just to name a few.

THE ROMANCE

I couldn’t do this review without mentioning the romance. Rogan and Nevada. Perfect for one another and their relationship continues to develop, they but heads, their is a great mixture or fireworks and sweet moments between them. Definitely enough to sooth the romance junkie in me.

CONCLUSION

Get it. Read it. Love it.

Wildfire starts a couple of weeks after the events of White Hot, with the disappearance of Rynda Sherwood’s husband and the imminent threat of Victoria Tremaine. As Nevada and the Baylor P.I. agency start looking into the life of Brian Sherwood, they find that the son-in-law had more things in common with his mother-in-law, Olivia Charles, and he might be working with the mastermind behind the conspiracy that plans to take over the city. The more they look into it, the more they are attacked and the family is in danger. At the same time, to make sure that they are not eating up by the Tremaine House, the Baylor family decides to become a House, as that will give them protection for three years from other Houses. But Victoria Tremaine won’t stop just because of that, she has a week until Nevada and Catalina are tested and House Baylor approved.

While all of this happens, Nevada and Rogan’s relationship continue to grow, they have to work together even more as both of them want to see the end of the conspiracy, but most of all they have to find a way to survive the upcoming storm of Primes that want to destroy them.

I really liked the Hidden Legacy series and Wildfire has become my favorite one so far. In this book, we get to find answers to the mysteries that have appeared over the course of the series, we get to finally see the hidden powers of the younger members of the Baylor family, and learn how the Houses are formed in this fascinated world.

After the events of White Hot, as a reader and fan of the series, I was excited by the magic that will be used in this story. We have already seen Catalina used her magic, but in this book, we see people outside her family see her use her magic and been tested. At the same time, we get to see Arabella’s magic in full mode and expose her secret to the world. Most of all, it was a great scene when Leon learns of his magic and everything that happened in that scene, and become one of my favorite scenes in this book.

“That was too much. All the stress, worry, and fear combusted into fury inside me and burst into an inferno. He had my shoulders but he didn’t have my hands. I jerked my forearms up and clamped my fingers on his face. Pain flared inside me and rolled down my arms, turning into pure agony. Lighting shot out of my fingers and sank into the armored skin. Madero screamed. Welcome to the shockers, bitch. Someone snarled like a pissed-off animal and I realized it was me.”

Magic is a very important factor in the Hidden Legacy series, we see it with how the Primes act regarding whom to marry to make a better child for the House, and with the different types of magics that authors Ilona Andrews puts on this world. In the previous books, we have seen mind-control and elemental magic, and in this one we see nature, physical, and summoning types of magic Prime users at their full power. This book contains a lot of action and fighting scenes with powerful primes and some of the scenes are described so beautifully that is not hard to imagine them.

In Wildfire, we get to see characters, some the previous books, and my favorite, Cornelius, has some good scenes in it. At the same time, there was one character that we didn’t see at all in the book, and it made me sad because I felt that it could have been a great asset for the team.

“Zeus stood six inches from me. His massive head was level with my chest. Turquoise eyes regarded me with mild curiosity. He took up the entire width of the hallway. An enormous tiger-hound from another world with teeth the size of steak knives and a fringe of tentacles at his neck. It occurred to me that I was covered in dried blood.”

In this story, Nevada is growing in power and understanding how the Houses behave and the rules apply to them. She gets to experience the world knowing what she can do and disadvantages that come with being a Truthseeker. We also get to see other Truthseekers and how they compare to Nevada. I liked that Nevada and the Baylor family are trying to become a House, how their experience with other House change, and how they easily make allies and enemies of other Houses, their interaction with new Houses were great to read.

SPOILER!!! While this book is supposed to be the last installment of the Hidden Legacy series; the book ends with all of the recent problems resolved and readers get to know the truth. Most ending series give readers the feeling that there is much more to the storyline and that world, which Wildfire’s ending did, wanting to know more about the future of the Baylor family and maybe future books. I felt that there were some minor loose ends, some mysterious characters, left in the dark that weren’t brought up again. The authors have mentioned in their blog that depending on the sale of this book and what the publisher says, they might write another book to tie everything up. If that’s the case, then let’s cross our fingers and hope that everything goes well.

If you are a fan of author couple Ilona Andrews, their work, and the Hidden Legacy series, then I recommend Wildfire. In this last installment Nevada and Rogan, now a couple, will have to work even harder to protect their families and the city, while they deal with their passion for one another that burns like wildfire.

If I'm honest I find it a little intimidating trying to write reviews for this series, mainly because it is the best series I've discovered since I started blogging in 2010 (no joke I've read well over 2,000 books in that time but this is the series I've reread the most - I read my proof copy of Wildfire 3 times before it was even published!) so I want to do it justice. I rave about Ilona & Gordon Andrew's books a lot, everything they write is golden and they have so many creative worlds that I would love to be able to just move in with them and have them tell me stories all day every day. No matter how much I love their Kate Daniels series and the Innkeeper Chronicles the Hidden Legacy has overtaken them to become my all time favourite. There is just something about this world, Nevada and particularly Rogan that I'm head over heels in love with.

I didn't want to start this review sounding like a crazy fan girl but I guess it's a little too late for that so I'm just going to go with it. There was absolutely nothing I didn't love about this book. The relationship development between Nevada and Rogan has been utterly perfect from the very beginning, I love the banter between them and their chemistry is off the charts (tactile anyone!). I love that Rogan is a little bit scary and powerful enough that just his name is enough to terrify people but that Nevada never lets him intimidate her, she more than holds her own and she's actually pretty scary in her own right. The two of them together are a complete power couple and their enemies had better watch out. Then you have Nevada's family and they're all totally wonderful (well apart from evil grandmother anyway!), Grandma Frieda is hilarious and never fails to make me laugh while her teenage sisters and cousins are always up to something. The conversations between them all feel so incredibly realistic and I love the way they'll all bicker amongst themselves but to anyone outside the family they are a completely united front. Nevada's mother doesn't even think twice about threatening Rogan to make sure he won't hurt her daughter even though she knows how powerful he is.

The story in Wildfire continues on from where we left things in White Hot which means we finally get to meet evil grandmother and she was everything I expected and then some. We already know that badass women run in the family but Victoria has tipped over the edge into both psychotic and homicidal so Nevada is going to have to watch all of their backs while she's in the picture. Victoria wants to claim Nevada and her sisters as part of her House and she'll do anything to have them under their control so Nevada has to take drastic measures to ensure they are safe from her. Things are certainly getting interesting and the whole family are going to face some tough challenges in the months and years ahead.

Nevada doesn't just have her grandmother to deal with though and her latest case comes from an unlikely source - Rogan's ex-fiancé. Rynda's husband has disappeared and she has asked Nevada to help her find him, Nevada doesn't really want to work with Rynda but she could never turn down someone so desperately in need so she agrees to take the case. Normally I'd worry about the potential drama caused by having an ex on the scene but in this case I think Nevada handled things beautifully. She had a few natural moments of jealousy and uncertainty but because she's an adult she deals with them and moves on, she knows that her relationship with Rogan is strong and she doesn't let Rynda get under her skin. I think it helps that Rogan hardly even notices Rynda is in the room when Nevada is there too, he only has eyes for one woman and there's no doubt in anyone's mind who he wants.

Wildfire is full of action and we learn a lot more about Nevada's family background and the abilities her sisters and cousins have. They have such a diverse range of magical abilities and I love seeing what they're capable of. This whole world is just incredibly creative magically and once again Ilona Andrews excels with writing three dimensional side characters like Cornelius and his daughter, Bug, Teddy and all the other members of Rogan's team. The magical and arcane creatures they come across in this instalment are spectacular and I wish Zeus was real!

I refuse to believe that we've seen the last of the world. Even though the blurb states that this is the conclusion to the series Ilona Andrews has already mentioned on her website that they are planning to write at least one more story in this world, it just remains to be seen whether it'll be picked up by Avon or self-published. Personally I'm hoping we'll get a lot more than one extra book, this world has so much potential and it feels like there are endless ways the series could continue. The magical system they've created, the different Houses, the war brewing because of the Primes who are trying to start a rebellion, Nevada and her family trying to become a House in their own right and all the tribulations that will bring, there is just so much more to explore. Not to mention the fact that I'd read whole books just about Rogan's tactile abilities!

Whatever happens this is a series I'll always treasure and it's one I'm sure I'll reread at least a couple of times a year.
