Quck, very relate-able book about one woman's weight loss journey and how she finally found long-term success when she discovered intermittent fasting and the "one meal a day" lifestyle. What I like most about the book is that it's very inspirational and enables you to realize just how easy it is for ANYONE (even you) to be successful. There are plenty of instruction manual type fasting books out there, but this one is fun to read and empowering. It's like chatting with an old friend.

I have been an Intermittent faster for almost 10 years and honestly didn't expect to get anything out of this book. I was wrong. Gin has a way of explaining complicated scientific information so that the reader is not put off by never ending studies. She tells it how it is and directs you to the resources to "do your own research" She stresses the fact that "calories in/calories out" does not work! Insulin is and always will be the key to a healthy weight. This is a lifestyle, not a diet and as the title implies there is no denying of any type of food. Period. You are merely postponing your meal and allowing your body to repair and renew when you are fasting. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the benefits of Intermittent fasting and OMAD.

Interesting approach to weight loss. I'll follow some of her advice for a while and see what happens...especially that on quitting artificial sweeteners. Only eating one meal a day? I can do that. But doing it forever? Not likely.
I would say this is an interesting view into the author's personal experience with all kinds of diets, focusing on intermittent fasting. But, if I had it to do over, I'd just buy The Obesity Code, which explains the medical and physiological aspects in so much more detail, and is about the same price as this book. I liked this book, but a little overpriced for the content.

This is an introduction to the Intermittent Fasting Lifestyle. It doesn't go into the science but gives links to research on your own further. The author promotes OMAD (One Meal a Day) eating and gives her own story and many other testimonies after explaining what IF is. I think this is a great book to get to start learning about Intermittent Fasting but keep in mind it is just an intro.

Enjoyable reading . Familiar diet experience for most of us - always a failure and rebound with diets. This make sense - stop eating so frequently and spiking insulin leading to weight gain . Just cutting to 3 normal meals a day instead of following the grazing advice (snacks 3 times a day) already feels better. Recommended reading

Got me started, I'm down 6 pounds in one week doing a five hour window and nothing but water & unsweetened tea plain green or black tea in the fasting window.

I liked her humorous relaxed writing style. It made the book a pleasure to read. It is also a great book for general information about the subject. I liked the way she used her own life experience to illustrate how she came to a fasting lifestyle as well as information on websites and books for more in depth information if desired. I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about Intermittent Fasting as a weight loss program.

Excellent, excellent, read! Down to earth, relatable, and appeals to my common sense. I'm so excited to enhance my current LCHF way of eating with IF. I am 47 but confident I will have excellent results. I also like her references to Dr. Fung among other doctors I've researched and respect. She's presented not a diet, but an attainable lifestyle with a freedom and benefits far beyond weight loss. I recommend this book for anyone frustrated with convential diets that are unstainable and haven't worked. Thank you Gin!

I’ve now purchased both the Kindle version and the Audible version of Delay Don’t Deny, as it is slowly changing my life. I constantly go back to reference different sections. Gin just makes sense and puts things in layman’s terms so as to not tax my brain too much ? I am well on my way to better overall heath, weight loss and pretty substantial savings on grocery store bills, after stumbling upon this.

This is really eye opening and I have already started the plan while reading. I know my hormones are out of whack so I am so excited to see this level out, as is my family!? This book is very important for the people who want to find a sane and reliable way to finally get the weight off, for good. It helps point you in the direction of permanently healing out of control eating. The end of diets that are impossible to adhere to, the end of endless hours of strenuous excersize that yield no lasting results. The resources are archived here to show you how to learn for yourself that this way of eating can bring your body back into balance, get your appetite back under control all in easy to understand language. Incredible book. A completely new way to eat that doesn't make you feel deprived and it feels sustainable. Weight loss is slow but steady and the book explains all the other health benefits of intermittent fasting as well. As a huge bonus there is a fb support group (same name as the title) in which the author, Gin, herself is very active and answers any questions you may have after reading the book. One of the most positive fb groups I've ever been in.

Gin's down to earth writing style had me hooked from the first page...Love the concept and have already started the intermittent fasting... If you feel stuck with your weight loss despite exercising, eating clean and restricting foods, I highly recommend reading this and trying it for at least 30 days.
