As a certified strength and conditioning coach I've used Dr. Mike's advice with my colligiate and professional athletes to improve their performance on the field and overall health off the field. And with my masters in kinesiology I appreciate how his scientific approach to so many health benefits from intermittent fasting is made straight forward and easy to understand. I've personally noticed how much more alert and fit I've felt since using his techniques that I haven't seen anywhere else.

Good book for the novice, particularly those looking to lose weight while also bulking up muscle mass. For diabetics and those looking to lose weight and bring blood sugar, cholesterol, and other blood markers under control, I highly recommend Dr. Jason Fung's books: The Obesity Code and The Complete Guide to Fasting.

I found the overview of various IF protocols to be very useful. The use of BCAA supplements during fasted training covered in depth with example schedules provided. This is the area least covered and the topic that I have the most curiosity about with regard to IF muscle building and preservation benefits.
A Science-Based Plan to Lose Weight - and Invigorate Your Life :: The Case Against Sugar :: contemporary fairy tale romance (Cowboy Fairytales Book 1) :: The Complete Series - With Bonus Scenes :: Ketogenic Diet Pressure Cooker Recipes Made Easy and Fast

My boyfriend gave me this amazing book for my birthday. Best gift ever. I just finished the book and absolutely loved it. I have told all my friends, contacts, family members, even random strangers about it! I wish this could be spoken about to all our college students. Dr. Van presents the evidence in a way that is easy to understand. Someone had mention intermittent fasting to me two years ago and I laughed it off. After reading this book, I called them to apologize. Cannot wait for the next book. I am applying it and absolutely recommend reading the book asap so you can apply it.

A doctor should conduct better research. GMOs in general, and glyphosate specifically, are not the demons you claim. The actual references from medical journals (and the bibliography) saved this book from a lower rating.

It becomes apparent to me , just a few pages into the book, that this is just another wannabe author hopping onto the gravy train hoping to skim some of our hard-earned cash. All the tricks and gimmicks are there, trying to convince us that we should be glad he was there to take our money.
I swear these folks just read each other's books, then cut & paste what bolsters their point of view.
