It is a well-written book with an very interesting plot and wonderful characters. One of my favorite books ever. I love the balance of magic, mystery, comedy, and seriousness. The dialogue is also very entertaining and the situations are described very well. The whole series is amazing!

This was a highly anticipated book that I had pre-ordered and counted down until the release date. It did not disappoint! I really enjoy CJ Archer's writing and the Glass and Steele series is my favourite.

I truly love the books. The characters are well defined and its a really good story. After four books it has become clear that the author doesn't have a separate editor as the grammatical errors clearly can not be mistaken for simple typos after so many books. As a writer myself (for fun) I know the importance of it because after looking at the story for so long and so frequently its easy to see what you thought you wrote instead of what you did. I don't really hold that against the author though hence the four stars. But I am hopeful that she'll get an editor in the future as it does bug me. I also have to wonder how long the author plans to drag out saving Matt's life for. I am ready for a solution to that problem. That doesn't mean she he to end the books she can easily switch the focus to the characters continuing developing relationships, India learning and exploring her magic, and solving crimes.

I've really enjoyed the Glass and Steele series and book 4 was no exception - a solid 4.5 (if I could rate it as such). India and Matt's investigations are fun to follow and try to figure out - and I wasn't quite expecting a particular outcome of part of the mystery. Something does bug me about the overall timeline of the entire series - it has on!t been a few months total and feel like if it was more drawn out it would be slightly more believable. And I want a particular relationship to start moving forward a bit more because it's starting to delve I to the world of too much angst (which just really isn't my thing). However, those are both minor grievances and I am very glad there is at least one more book in the series.

I was definitely looking forward to this next book in the series. It did not disappoint. However, I think book 5 needs to bring the magic quest AND the love story to a conclusion. Otherwise, the phrase, "milking it" will be applicable. One other note, a person can read these books as stand alone books but I think the reader will get much more out of them if they start from the beginning.
