would recommand this to teenagers
good characters, loved Ema(fat, smart-mouthed, goth and the best friend you could wish for)
interesting story, different from the usual Harlan Coben.
I don't like how short it is, kind of like his writing this series for TV..

liked it and will buy the next one

I used to read this authors Myron Bolitar novels. But for what ever reason Mr Coben decided to change something that wasn't broke. I have read only one third of the book and I just can't get with it. I know what I was like as a teenager and it was nothing like Mickey. I would probably recommend this book to teenagers, who I read, like the Hardy Boys. I don't know if I can finish this book, but until this kid grows up I won't be buying anymore books that are classified as "Mickey Bolitar" novels. If this author writes another book that is a Myron Bolitar novel I will be one of the first in line to buy it.

Teenagers will love this. Even though I am 65, I did enjoy the series more as the plot developed. The first book started out a little to immature for my tastes, but all in all, you will enjoy this. Just hang on until the middle of the first of the three books.

Author spent too much time recovering facts from previous books. I almost stopped reading because I was sick of regurgitating the same information. Chances are if I am reading book two, I probably read book one. I, however fought through it and then the book proved to be quite entertaining. I look forward to book three.

Seconds Away by Harlan Coben was terrific! Before you read Seconds Away, you need to read the first book in the Mickey Bolitar series called Shelter. Shelter and Seconds Away were both very good and suspenseful. However, in my opinion Shelter was better, that is not to say that Seconds Away wasn't good. The first book in a series is always better like the Hunger Games trilogy because the first sets the tone for the whole series.

I feel guilty reading the "young adult" books but since I liked the Myron Bolitar novels I gave it a try. Thoroughly entertaining and easy to get into, highly recommend. Must read the first Mickey Bolitar novel first. The constant references to the previous book was annoying because I had read it a long time ago and didn't remember a lot of it.

"Seconds Away" was as good as any Harlan Coben novel. Even though this was written for the younger reader, it is as twist turning and suspenseful as his other novels. I would recommend for any adult reader of Harlan Coben.

I'm a big Harlan Coben/Myron Bolitar fan. Taking Myron-type mysteries and imposing them on a 15 year old kid stretches the credibility gap just a bit too far. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the story even though I'm far from a young adult!
