The guy has such an important story, but his writing it in a novel style with characters having dialog lines detracts from the book's credibility. The interview I heard of him via Earthfiles.com was much more compelling.

I just started to read this book immediately after buying the Kindle addition. I find it a fantastic read and I'm only on chapter 5. To think that the concepts of building 2km space crafts in the early 1950s to protect the Earth from "hostile" aliens is hard to comprehend. But the reason for this early review on what I've read so far is not the concept or the designing of these space vehicles, but the massive amount of material and man power needed to build these craft. When it takes two or more years to build one super tanker or freighter to ship crude oil and much of everything else, how is this accomplished on the scale that Bill Tompkins writes about? Where would these be built? The moon has been suggested. The logistical demands of such a building venture has to be considered too? Maybe that's revealed in the book in later chapters. Anyway, that's my two-bit contribution for the time being. RM

An incredible book, full of amazing information, and insight into the world of secret think Tanks. Just tremendous. BUT, the worse case of editing that has ever made it to print. WTH, did no one proof read this thing?

Very surprised that Douglas Aircraft was designing interstellar space craft capability in the early 1950's before we went to the moon. Found that the female "Nordic assistants" to Bill Tompkins would have been dressed in mini skirts in the early 1960's a little strange since they didn't come out until late 1968 and 1969.I was amazed that Mr. Tompkins was so ahead of his time in thinking so far in advanced for space travel and could conceptualize all the requirements for planning, designing and presenting his reports to very high security Industrial military complex leaders. This was a great read, but I think and fell the interaction with the female assistants was a little to much and made the book a little to much like a hollywood script for a movie instead of a factual account of reverse engineering of alien spacecraft as this book should be.

Decent material. If you've ever read the book "The Hunt For Zero Point"- Nick Cook. This book corroborates the secrecy concerning the antigravity research boom of the 1950's and why it abruptly vanished from the spotlight, and record. As for the structure of the book. To me it seems very scattered, at times simply breaking off and not picking back up in a particular story or event. Sometimes I wonder why it had to even be as many pages as it is.

The raw informatioon was interesting. I'm 55 years old and remember when many of the events in the book occurred. Very glad to learn the real story.
The accounts of sexual harassment and Intimidation were distasteful. Half of the book could have been eliminated and it would have been a more interesting read.
Honestly, if William Tompkins and Robert Wood are planning more volumes then I'm out. Not interested in wading through the dross to find the gold.

The author seems to have a high intelligence quotient and a low emotional one. Bad mix for an author. His many references to the physical attributes of women were especially annoying from this woman's point of view, serving only to aggrandize the author. It would have been a much better book if he had chosen someone with a higher purpose, to tell his story.

An easy read book on a subject I find fascinating. The story line jumps around a bit which makes it a challenge to follow but once you connect the dots it becomes somewhat clearer. Also, I try to compare details in every book with details I've discovered in similar books. There were some items that seemed somewhat out of place. One of these was the style of clothing described being worn by some of the principle people mentioned during the era the story was taking place. Having lived during part of that era I do not recall that type of fashion being in vogue although it could have been popular in that region. Hopefully the sequel will add more light on the authors journey.

Heard about this book on talk radio, and was very curious to read its full contents.
A Very Entertaining Read! But, as for believing that everything detailed really did happen?
As Samantha, in TV's 'Bewitched' would say: "Well....?"

Credible information from a 50 year Navy man working on the Secret Space Program at its inception in deep black projects and a secret think tank at Douglas Aircraft that evolved into Rand. William Tompkins also independently corroborates much of the testimony of another Secret Space Program WhistleBlower "Corey Goode.

I must disagree with the negative reviewers here.
#1 I have heard people saying this book is re writing the ufo histkry, AS IF THAT'S A BAD THING. Come on people, by now the ufo story is so convoluted that no one can makes heads or tails. A new angle, which seems closer to the truth, is a welcome one.
#2 while I respect Mr Vallee for his work, I see no specific comment that states that HE was the 'frenchman'
#3 Mr wood had a huge pair to get on here, publicly apologize, and take responsibility for Mr vallees spiel about how offended he was.it shows he cares about the truth, more than maintaining an egoic self.
#4 the really negative reviewer ONLY listened to the rense interview, he did not read the book and therfore has absolutely no basis for his review. His opinion is nill.
#5 this books author is telling the truth, I can feel it, and besides the truth about his story was just hacked out of nasal and Cia computers.
The hacker facing 10-30 years in prison, look it up.
# I freaking love this book. FINALLY, new information

I really enjoyed this page turner. Lots of good history about the space program here. Tompkins reveals his life’s work (more to come) laced with stories of extraterrestrial coaching and teamwork. Unfortunately there are no photos of the extraterrestrials he says he worked with. One must take his word for it.

An interesting read by an insider. Some nonsequeter parts and ramblings, not quite sure on what he ever did with the Nordic babes...
I hope he can produce another one where he actually gives the straight dope about the secret space program. But I do understand he has probably signed agreements not to speak of things like this. It is worth reading.

Impossible to comprehend that someone with the capacity to design interstellar craft could have composed this book. It reads like a high school student who flunked English grammar may have composed it. Anyone ever heard of proofing?
